Lawyer refunds part of fees amid allegations against judge

Attorney Patrick Kenney was paid $11,475 for handling the sentencing of Timothy Church, whose mother alleges Judge Onzlee Ware traded sex with her for help on her son’s case. Kenney has refunded $6,525 to the state after The Roanoke Times found billing discrepancies.
