Lansdale could back extension of state COVID eviction moratorium

LANSDALE — Borough officials are joining the call to extend help for those impacted by COVID-19.
Council has discussed, and could vote next week, to back a state resolution working its way through Harrisburg.
"We were made aware of the state legislature putting together a resolution to support a moratorium on foreclosures and evictions, during this COVID-19 period — a continuation of that until after this is over," said Borough Manager John Ernst.

"While we are not asked to create our own ordinance, we are being asked to create a resolution in support of this state act," he said.
