Political parties in Western Australia have splashed more than $200,000 on social media advertising in the three months leading into the election, with the underdog Liberals accounting for close to half the spend.
The Liberals say they want to have election advertisements with a positive spin, but Labor is taking no chances as it simultaneously runs a presidential-style campaign centred on Premier Mark McGowan whilst launching several negative attacks against Opposition Leader Zak Kirkup and his party.
