"eyewitness news" was there as emergency crews respond todd a fiery crash on the roosevelt expressway wednesday morning, the driver of this overturn minivan was trapped, and the flames, were growing. >> i was scared for his life and whoever was in the car because i have five children myself so who is to know that was just a family, you know, with kid in the car, you never know, i just wanted to help. >> tow truck driver john was in the area for work, he was driving south on the expressway around 2:00 a.m. when he saw crash unfold in the northbound lanes near ridge avenue, he knew he had little time to help so he turn his truck around and jumped into action. >> as soon as i pulled up, consider was in flames, there was within guy in the car, he was not responsive at the time so i tried to wake him up and literally seen that the gas tank was right next the two fire going on so my first reaction was to get him out of the car. i literally yelled to two other guys standing there on the side of the highway and had him quickly come over and he quickly pulled the gentlemen out of the car and pulled to the side of the highway and literally like 502nd later the car blew up. >> he says the driver was bang ed up but in the burn. the accident shut down expressway in bet directions for a time as crew cleaned up. it is not clear what caused the driver to lose control but he could have
