thankfully, ukee, we are in the looking ahead to a major severe weather out break. last two tuesdays ushered in these strong thunderstorms but we have cloud cover building in right now. don't get me wrong we will end up with some gusty thunderstorms out of this frontal boundary and very heavy downpour. that is our biggest issues because we have been building up moisture for more than a day and because it is so steamy outside, there goes so moisture rich in this atmosphere when this rainfalls to the ground it will pour down on us. it is in scattered fashion but when it does come down you will want an umbrella, for sure. well off in the distance you can see trailing edge of the frontal boundary. the moisture is still getting pulled in across missouri and southeastern kansas and that will turn into more of an area of low pressure that ride tail end of the frontal boundary. we have two days straight of wet weather to track. in the meantime we will see center city sky line, just starting to cloud up too quickly. very limited sunshine, initially, dew points are high, 77 in dover. if you don't have an air conditioning, that hurts that is rough stuff, 77 for a to point. from the second you hit 70 degrees it is feeling oppressive and it is insufferable at 75 or greater on the dew point scale. basically higher that dew point gets the more uncomfortable you will be and hate to say that humidity will not go away even behind the storms from later tonight because that next disturbance comes through tomorrow. friday, still very warm, that front lacks in colder air it is certainly making up for with looks have moisture. the it dozened up in the just brightening up but feeling so much better. so it will be hot friday and saturday but more comfortable by comparison. got umbrella when you head out today you will need it. she has details on your forecast when we come right back. good morning. well, first it is the heat and then check out storm scan three, the storms arrive, showing us rain and possible then are storms moving in later today but don't be fooled as you walk outside and think it is muggy. you will need your rain gear. >> just depending on what your plans are entailing today, we have a little window of opportunity initially here to get in either outdoor plans. it is not that comfortable outside. it is muggy but at least it is no rain physically falling from the sky at the moment but eventually we will to have deal with that wet weather. that is where we will start off. we will go outside to storm scan three and what we are finding here is not necessarily, the moisture, falling to the ground as rain but rather just sign of the moisture falling or rather just building up in our atmosphere here. don't worry about any rain just yet in the chester county or berks county where we are seeing those green speckles here. we will have to deal with the rain until we hit at men mum, late morning. in the meantime this is bullet point graphic for you here. still very steamy. afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms will rumble through and some will include heavier downpours and some will be locally gusty but we are not tracking the kind traveling 38 in either direction after lexington avenue there will be one lane blocked until about 6:30. 6:30. so they are trying to wrap things up but still causing delays in and around that area keep in mind for septa regional rail lines they have fewer cars on some trains due to fleet upgrades. just keep that in the back of your head, ukee. lets give you more on our breaking news, hazmat situation in ocean county. >> "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us from lakewood county, justin. >> this is very early information very preliminary information about a man whose illness a police response and a response overnight. this happened in the area where we are right now and what we are hearing is have after midnight a hazmat request was made by lakewood township police where they found a man whose symptoms were cause for an alarm overnight. no details on what those symptoms were exactly however we do know that man is now in the hospital. you might be asking, why there is so much concern in this area for one sick man. there is word that he he recently traveled to africa where we do know there are several cases of epidemic disease going on there. that is men to take lives. first responders, however who did respond to this scene they will be likely kept under watch for any symptoms and then this contained 24 to 48 hours or longer for serious illness to develop. they will be watched wye staff here in lakewood township. but for now we have several calls into authorities here to figure out what is going on and the status on have that man in the hospital. we are year-old bala cynwyd woman is being honored for her efforts in finding new treatment options for this devastating disease. today she will go to d.c. as one of nine people recognized by the white house as champions of the change specifically for her work with emily's entourage which has raised one and a half million-dollar so far. at ward will be presented to emily as part of the president's precision medicine initiative that encourages research on targeted treatments. >> my hope is that emily's entourage and precision met initiative will lead to a break through that will give me a future. >> emily says presearch from precision medicine has potential to save her and tens of thousands of other cf patients but time is running out so she hopes today's honor will raise more
