Place here, multiple gunshots ringing out at a Graduation Ceremony here at skyline high school, striking two people. An adult man, an adult woman, both taken to the hospital. As you can see, police still here, although they do appear to be wrapping up at least the on site part of their investigation at the high school. Earlier, though, we did see them canvasing the area here with flashlights searching for evidence. Again, this happening at around 745 this and this evening. Sending people scattering. A parent telling us they saw multiple people wearing black, carrying guns, running from the stadium where that ceremony was being held. Now, police unable to say how many suspects were involved. They are still looking for those suspects. But describing this as bully as apparently a likely targeted shooting. Heres what police and some of those in attendance described earlier. Officers responded to the school, and identified, two victims suffering from gunshot wounds, at that time, there was an event going on a high school graduation, the two victims were transported to local hospitals where theyre currently listed in stable condition. Its clearly unfortunate, definitely. On a day like this, some of the students that graduated. This is supposed to be the happiest day of their lives. I dont its crazy. Now, i should add, there is video circulating on social media right now of what appears to show a fight breaking out near the Graduation Ceremony, at the same time as those shots rang out. Police are looking into whether those two are connected. And, police right now, though, have completely cleared this high school. They are, though still continuing to, at least as of the last update. Novato police today sharing details about two retail thefts that happened at the same Shopping Center earlier this week. So the first happened on tuesday at the target at the vintage oaks Shopping Center. Two people were arrested in that case. Well then just yesterday at the vintage oaks sefora, four women reportedly ran from the store with several thousand dollars in merchandise. Officers tried to follow those suspects, but they got away. Officers were called to Willow Street near graham avenue last friday, where they found 26 vandalized trees just last week after they were planted during a community event. That fire reached at least five acres and hit two alarms. Video shows smoke billowing out from behind the boats nearby. Just came down here for lunch, slash dinner, and we saw a little smolder out there and we just kept watching it and the wind started blowing and that thing just developed and went from 0 to 50ft high in flames. A helicopter doused the flames with water, and the fire was out within a couple of hours. This low is the reason for the cooling, the overall cooling that were going to experience starting tomorrow, friday, saturday in a little bit into sunday. So this low is just settling in over the top of us. None of its a big deal. The trend, though, has been since tuesday when we saw temperatures in the upper 80s. Even a couple of low 90s temperatures have been falling each day, and they will continue to fall until we get to saturday. And then on sunday, theyll start to come back up. But its a subtle change. So here are the current temperatures. Theres the wind, which is what you would expect 1015 mile an hour winds out of the west. 12 mile an hour. Winds in san carlos out of the west. And the forecast for tomorrow morning. Theres the cloud cover. Theres the fog. Its a reason for some of the cooling. More cool clouds. Thats friday afternoon and saturday morning just unloads. Thats the coolest day of the week. Saturday afternoon. And then sunday morning and sunday morning it starts to warm. Less fog, less cloud cover. Makes sense. So thats the basics. There are the forecast highs for tomorrow and certainly cooler than we were when we were in the low 80s today. So its definitely a little bit cooler out there as we go into tomorrow. And again saturday is going to be the coolest day, so saturday is the coolest day. We may see the hot spots in the 70s, upper 60s, low 70s. And then heres the five day forecast. Ktvu Lamonica Peters<\/a> has that story. When my son, three years old friend of children with special needs, they help me, sherry hmong says. After connecting with friends of children with special needs, she wanted to give back to the organization that supported her autistic son. She volunteered with the Adult Day Program<\/a> for over a decade and eventually taught students life and vocational skills. So we teach a lot of things like how do you cooking . You know, make sandwich and the laundry or kind of thing. And later we move. I more focus on vocational training. In 2020, with no prior knowledge of the industry, hmong says she started an embroidery company. She wanted a business with a skill that students could enjoy and easily learn. After she and her husband invested about 200,000 into the company, she began a partnership with three local School Districts<\/a>, including Campbell Union<\/a> high school district, to provide job training. They also learned how to trim and remove the backing. Hmong says the School Districts<\/a> use their own funding to pay students, and they work with equipment that simplifies the embroidery process. Longtime customer david roger says he, too has an autistic son, but its the quality work that led him to turtle works. You know, its not like just getting a crayon drawing to put on the refrigerator. This is high quality stuff that my people now require. I shouldnt say require. They count on me to go to miss sherry to get additional products made. Hmong impact on the community hasnt gone unnoticed. Turtle works has received Numerous Community<\/a> awards and has been featured in local newspapers, including this bay area chinese language publication on this chinese mom created business and teach a autism kids skill. Hmong says she named her business turtle works after the story of the tortoise and the hare. She says she wants special needs students to come out of their shell and learn skills like everyone else, even if it takes them a little longer to reach their goals. Slow and steady wins the race.
