If pg e decides to move forward, power could be cut on a rolling basis from late tonight until friday morning. 54,000 customer accounts across 19 Northern California counties and two tribal communities could be affected. The goal is to lower the chances of equipment sparking another wildfire during this weather. Dry conditions are forecasted. Last week, there were at least 30 instances of damage or hazards this could lead to the possibility of a fire, if we had the power turned on. Taking a look at is kind of an active week with an extended period of fired warnings. The first one expired this morning as you take a look at the map here, for the north bay hills. Another moves into night for portions of the bay area, and the event i am most concerned with and tracking, will be late sunday, into monday morning. That will probably be late in the day, a wind advisory as well, that is the most extreme fired danger all week long. Fire danger is a concern all week long. The fire warning in place for the east bay valley, begins at 10 00 tonight until 8 00 friday. A bit of a delayed start for the coastal areas and Santa Cruz Mountains. Wind could gust over 35 Miles Per Hour. It is a dry wind, and of course everything is so dry and ready to burn, that is a huge concern. Talking about wind, it is trying to push the fog to the south. As we look closer it looks like it is near monterey bay. For us nothing but sunshine, temperatures are warming up. Upper 80s out towards fairfield and livermore. San francisco downtown is warm at 71. Here is the weather set up every year this time of year, this will be tracked, the area of low pressure, this difference between the two patterns and set ups generates the offshore wind. One person was rescued after getting stuck in San Francisco near battery crosby at 1 30 this morning. This is a tricky spot, firefighters could get to the person until three hours later, a Water Rescue Team swam out to the person. Our rescued swimmers in the water, in the dark, in the surf, were able to go between two large rocks. When a large wave came in we were able to be lifted up and grab hold of this individual, bringing him down to a rescue board, a large surfboard. The rescue victim was pulled 200 yards to a waiting boat, the victim is being treated at a local hospital. It is unclear now how that person was stuck on the rock. The family of a man who was killed in a hit and run is currently searching for whoever sped away from the crime scene last wednesday. A father of two was riding to work and he was hitting by a carpet but the vehicle took off. When the family of Jeffrey Larry gathered searching for answers, Police Officers have canvassed the neighborhood. They are also looking for witnesses, and family members have also said they have been going door to door asking for help. Neighbors have been supportive. They are urging the person responsible for this crash to come forward to the police. It makes me sad to see my brother on a poster board, on t shirts and flyers. The remains of a pilot killed during world war ii have identified now, or than 75 years after his plane crashed into the sea. Authorities announced that a 22 yearold second lieutenant, earl smith was accounted for yesterday. Smith was a Fighter Pilot in 1943, when he crashed after returning from an air raid on an enemy air raid in the pacific. His remains were discovered in 2002.
