The old record was 14 straight days, set in 2018, during the campfire. Meantime, more progress recorded battling the many wildfires, causing all the bad air. The czu fire is 51 contained after burning almost 135 square miles. Almost 1300 buildings have been destroyed. Now the czu complex fire is still burning in seven counties, including alameda, contra costa, and santa clara counties. It is now 80 contained. It has burned more than 610 square miles, 105 buildings have been destroyed. And in the north bay, firefighters are still making progress battling the lnu lightning complex fire. It is now 86 contained. It has burned more than 586 square miles. Six people have been killed, including a pg e worker, and many buildings have been destroyed across solano county. Utility crews are working, and traffic delays are expected. Wood fire has burned near the Race National seashore. Any evacuation orders and warnings are now lifted. But the. Raise National Seashore is closed as the Holiday Weekend begins. Now, we will have a major heat wave this weekend, as steve has been talking about. And statewide flex alert has been issued by members of the power grid. All of us are being asked to conserve power beginning tomorrow, through monday. To prevent rolling blackouts. Some parts of the bay area will have more than 100 degree temperatures, increasing the demand for power.
