Well, in the south bay, the chp said a young teenage girl has died in a crash involving stolen cars left abandoned on a highway around 1 30 this morning on highway 85 in san jose. Henry lee has more on this unusual case. Reporter the chp responding to a crash on highway 85 south of camden navy san jose about 1 30 friday morning. The initial call came in as a report of possible collision and possible body in the roadway. Reporter officers found the body of a woman who apparently had been ejected and also found three cars abandoned on the highway. The victim herself abandoned, left to die on the road. I didnt receive any information that anyone had tried to render any attain of aid. At least two of the cars and possibly the third were all stolen vehicles. This is a very unusual incident to have three vehicles abandoned at a collision scene. Reporter they were also the same make. They were all hondas. Two were honda civics, and a honda accord. Reporter honey dass are favorites of car thieves. Two of the cars were left running without keys. The chp is working on the likery hood that the woman had been inside the white honda civic that flipped over on the highway. That vehicle had the rollover damage. Reporter its unclear if the woman who died was a driver or passenger. The chp is still trying to determine the circumstances of the crash. At this point, drugs or alcohol dont appear to be involved. They also ruled out other possibilities. There was no evidence of any type of street racing or side show activity or anything in the area. Reporter this six of highway 58 before the crash occurred and straight and flat, so they will be look into a common factor in deadly factors. Speed.
