At catholic charities, they are asking churches and parishes to reach out and check on those at high risk, senior citizens, and the disabled been theres little we can do to stop this heat wave, but a lot we can do to intervene before a Persons Health is too far down the road. The city of San Francisco is world famous for its fog, but this weekend, the city is filled with sunshine. The city is forecasted to be one of the cooler spots around the bay area, and that has a lot of people headed to ocean beach, looking to cool down. Were finishing up our weekend. The weather. Oh, the weather its like hundreds back home, so this is beautiful. Reporter same story at baker beach, near the golden gate. City residents and visitors flooding the beach, looking for relief. We live in san jose. Its very, very hot over there, so we thought we could get a little refreshment coming to the beach. Not much, but a little bit cooler over here, definitely. Reporter the citys parks also a hot spot to cool down. One San Francisco supervisor said most parkgoers are following the orders to stay distance and stay safe. But we know that pretty much every nice day were seeing at least some folks who are not following the rules, or not sticking to that, and, you know, this is not a moment for that, like theres too Much Community spread. They say that people your visiting or living near San Francisco need to stay hydrated and stay cool, and they feel themselves overheating, try to find a place to cool down. The biggest being the lake fire, which has spread to more than 11,000 acres with minimal containment. Hundreds of firefighters are battling the flames about 65 miles north of los angeles. Residents in at least 100 homes have been asked to evacuate. It was just all a bunch of flames and embers all up and down right there, and you could see, like, at one point, there was a huge tornado flame.
