This one out of Santa Cruz County were a suspect is in custody following a shooting. There is a Large Police Presence here. This is near highway nine in the santa cruz mountains. Authorities say they are responding to multiple Critical Incidents there. Sky foxs overhead just a short time ago. Law enforcement has not released many details about what happened here. This all started about 2 30 pm today. We will continue to follow this story and bring you details as they become available. Reporter people from all kinds of backgrounds turned out for protests across the bridge area. Thousands came to protest the death of george floyd at the hands of Minnesota Police officers and to support the black lives Matter Movement. The march started at noon and within an hour the crowd expanded into the highway taking over the southbound lanes. A different kind of protest took place in oakland. Want to support mental wellness. In honor of the black lives impacted by systemic racism and Police Brutality. As we try to take on the weight of the world, sometimes we feel like we need to take care of our own spiritual and Mental Health. We wanted to come together and express solidarity in a different way. This comes as thousands of people gathered for a Memorial Service to honor george floyd. Back in washington there are several different groups coming together under the 1 million dc saturday. One group made their way through the city taking a knee as they push for change. We dont want to lose our financial investment, obviously, but we also really support change happening. Several storefronts on broadway and downtown oakland have been painted over with murals. Many of them show support for the black lives Matter Movement. Today Sonoma County east the shelter in place and restrictions on dining. Business owners say the new order could not come soon enough. This day has been months in the making and even though Health Officials say we are not out of the woods just yet, Business Owners we spoke with today say they are ready for the change. From only offering take out to opening Outdoor Dining and finally being able to serve customers inside. It is lifesaving for us. Reporter for a santa rosa restaurant owner, the Sonoma County health order could not come soon enough. I think a lot of people are on the brink and it was getting very tough. Reporter the order went into effect at midnight. It allows Indoor Dining with modifications. This is an exciting day but Sonoma CountyHealth Officials say coronavirus has not been contained. As of june 5 the county reported 624 confirmed cases and four deaths so they are moving cautiously into the next up. We are cautious and careful. I saw what was happening in new york and so i did appreciate the caution. It was also difficult as a Business Owner to be shut down and not make the money we needed. Reporter restaurants need to make changes before opening. That includes sanitization practices, keeping tables apart and masks. This restaurant started shifting things back around in march. We started putting furniture further away and marking where people could stand. We got rid of all of our in house dining dishes. Reporter Outdoor Recreation and Equipment Rentals as well as private and public swimming pools may open and so can hair salons and barbershops. Armand i clo has thoughts. Restaurants in san mateo county, now reopen for out door dining. And lines for takeout must be separated for social distancing. Charter boats can resume operations with limits on the number of passengers. Funerals can have up to 25 people at outdoor services. A new order in Contra Costa County went into effect. It allows outdoor swimming pools and outdoor seating at restaurants to open. Houses of worship can have up to one dozen people inside and 100 people outside. The state will be moving into phase 3 starting next friday. It allows for day camps, gyms, pro sports and more to restart with modifications. It also includes rules for the reopening of schools. This is a county by county decision. Restrictions can only be lifted after state requirements are met. Almost all counties across the state have met requirements to enter phase 3. It will now be up to local leaders to give the stamp of approval.
