The good news for the folks in the bay area, like all of us, both the number of new cases in the number that showed a downward trend which is super in the county had the lowest recorded number of new cases since the recording began. Whats interesting is that the bay area certainly is spread out and has been on top of it and perhaps may have some prevalence issues. The study from stanford showcased when they looked at serology testing which is the Antibody Testing they found perhaps early april the prevalence was much higher than indicated maybe 3580 times higher. Could be there some protected immunity and those will be interesting things as we ramp up not only the testing to see if someone is currently infected but also the testing to see infected people have antibodies meaning theyve already been exposed to the virus and if they do have those antibodies do they have enough immunity to stop reinfection. Those are interesting factors that play a roll. Other factors. One of the demographics of the new cases in general, are the folks that are more vulnerable . Have they have been exposed . Are people adhering to all of the guidance that we have all become so familiar with in these last months. The legislation introduced would direct the Sheriffs Office to close the jail by november 1st. It is currently set to close in july of 2021.
