Governor newsoms order, an unprecedented action calling for 40 Million People who live in california to stay home. Now, Governor Newsoms order calling for people to stay home. Whats really confusing to a lot of people is this went into effect last night but theres no end date. So how long will this shelter inplace order last. The governor also called the coronavirus outbreak a Global Crisis on a scale we have never seen before. The governor estimates 56 of californias population will be infected with coronavirus in the next eight weeks unless extreme measures are taken to slow the spread. If we change our behaviors, that inventory will come down. If we meet this moment, we can truly bend the curve to reduce the need to surge, to reduce the need to have to go out and begin to cobble all those assets together. During the shelterin place, people are ordered to selfisolate, to continue washing hands and using Hand Sanitizer and wiping down surfaces. Also, do not go outside if sick. You are allowed to go get groceries, go on a walk, get take out food and put gas in your car. Nonessential businesses are closed. California also released a website about the coronavirus. There are 675 cases in california. There have been 16 deaths. 448 of the patients in our state are between the ages of 18 to 64. The remaining 209 are 65 or older. Now, the governor has also asked for federal assistance to help hospitals better prepare for a surge of patients expected in the coming weeks and months. We did see people with a Delivery Service and was told to just drop off what he was bringing. It looked like a stack of napkins. Only Staff Members are allowed to go in and out of this building. Residents are not allowed to leave. Five residents here tested positive for covid19. A sixth person who was tested is awaiting results. But the four story facility has assisted living facility. Atrias manager declined to speak about the outbreak. Reporter now, in writing, the managers of the facility say its their priority to put the health and wellness of the residents first and that theyre monitoring the situation with officials and will take all necessary steps. A nationwide living facility chain and has more than 200 living facilities across the country. But, again, the movement of people in many and out of this facility here is going to be very restricted. Only Staff Members going in and out after five residents of this assisted living facility tested positive for koefd cove. A sixth person is awaiting results and all of them are hospitalized. Those who came into contact with him are in quarantine at home but with just four days left in their two week incubation window, they show no signs of an infection. Napa is officially the last county to join the bay area shelterinplace order. That order affects 140,000 people in napa county. It took effect at midnight. County leaders approved it before the governor issued a statewide shelterinplace order last night. So far, there are no confirmed cases in napa county. This is day four of the shelter inplace order for millions of people around the bay area and were slowly adjusting to the routine of this new normal. President trumps Economic Team meets with republican and Democratic Senators working on a 1 trillion dollars plan to keep the u. S. Economy afloat. Now the senate plan includes direct Cash Payments up to 1,200 per individual. 2,400 per couple and 500 per child. The full payments would apply to people who make less than 75,000 a year or 150,000 per couple. It would also let you withdraw up to 100,000 from your 401k without getting a penalty. No piles of forms for laid off workers or busy families to fill out. Money for people. From the middle class on down. Period. Corporations should not get a bail out and then be allowed to fire employees or cut their salaries, cut their benefits. Also, the senate bill would include 300 billion for Small Business loans and it would let businesses defer paying payroll taxes. The government also has a warning for you about those relief checks. Already, there are reports of scammers calling you asking for your Social Security numbers, your Bank Information pretending to be government workers saying they need that information to process the checks. The federal trade Commission Says no one will be calling you to get that information and the government will not ask you to pay money in order to receive your check. The Worlds Largest cruise operator is offering its help in the fight against the coronavirus. Carnival says the ships can be used as floating hospitals. This would free up more space at landbased hospitals to treat people infected with the virus. Carnival says it would still ask authorities to reimburse the cruise line for essential resources.
