Essential services and banks and pharmacies and restaurants for takeout and delivery will be allowed to remain open. You will still be able to get food with this order in place. Care for relatives. Run necessary errands and conduct the essential parts of your life. Police will be patrolling with the aim at educating and enforcing. We are asking the public to voluntarily comply. This order by law is enforceable as a misdemeanor or failure to comply with that. That is the absolute last resort. The health order will remain in effect until april 7. I said wait a minute, i have been practicing law. For over 40 years. I have never heard of this. What law did he rely on to do it. I was in the courthouse this morning. I asked the judge. He did not know. I asked a couple of Defense Attorneys. They did not know. Did i asked the district attorney. It really is unprecedented and it is going to make for a great appeal issue in this case because the judge found him saying which means off to state prison he goes. It is being reported that the jury was leaning 111. With that have any impact . Which direction . Have people find out whether it was insanity . Meeting not finding him saying. Will it have any effect . I do not think so. He has a right to a jury trial. In this case the judge took over and found him to be saying. That may affect his somehow i cannot think of right now. As i say, it is going to make for a great appeal issue. The courts are closing at least in alameda county. I know others are tomorrow until april 7. On april 7, they will revisit the issue to see whether or not they want to. I know it is causing a lot of problems for a lot of Defense Attorneys because the small countire staying open. The bigger counties are closing. I really think the chief justice of california has to step in and say we are closing all courts in california. That will address a lot of issues and a lot of do i go to court . Do i go out to stans county. What do i do . A lot of Defense Attorneys do not know the answer to that. Perhaps if there was a uniform decision. We are just about out of time but i want to talk about this verdict. What do you think the other option could have been for the judge . Just too hot deliberation . Four of the 12 were not allowed to come in for deliberation at the request of the governor. What other option did the judge have in this case. The judge could actually bring them in. It would be a special circumstance. Let them go at least one more day. If they were really going to hang it . Then the jury comes out and it hangs. Keep in mind. If the Supreme Court reverses this and sends it back, they have to do the sanity part of this trial. In the sanity part, the burden approved is with the defense. Unlike the guilt phase. The defendant has the burden of proof. If they bring it back, they have to repanel a jury. Put the case on yet again in front of all 12. Those 12 people will not know the entire case. Remember in the sanity part of this trial, neither side put on any witnesses. They relied on the evidence that was put on in the guilt phase of the trial.
