coming up. sonoma county authorities are expected to start moving homeless campers into a sanctioned camp on the summit. the county is offering to move the 60 people to the camp. most people are killed a 58-year-old woman. police from several agencies have tried looking for him and have been able to locate him. he is considered armed and dangerous. if you have information you are urged to give the police a call. in the san jose police area there is a deadly stepping that left a woman dead earlier last night. it happened last night at a home on montego avenue. police officers were responding to a welfare check and when police arrived they found an adult female with multiple stab wounds. she was pronounced dead at the scene. the suspect, peter rodriguez, booked into the santa clara jail for murder. police say rodriguez was the person who called them and asked for the wealth will check. the san jose third homicide at 2020. impeachment trial of president trump. the legal hit. three teenagers were arrested. other victims were released quickly. ashley spent three months fighting for her life. she recently returned home and tomorrow will head back to school for the first time. she sat down for an interview. >> reporter: ashley parker spent the early morning making these videos and putting on makeup and hanging out with friends. >> we were going crazy. we wanted to look cute and take pictures. >> it was 10 days after she and her twin sister alyssa celebrated their sweet 16. that night the group of eight wanted to go to the josefa ball game. the church that we go to, different boys go to different schools. their friends from panola valley and some of the grow friends from church are cheerleaders. >> ashley remembers the game on the field and stands but said everybody was in a good mood when they left. >> we were trying to get guys numbers. >> she doesn't remember the fights that broke out across the street. she doesn't remember the shots being fired. she doesn't remember getting shot. but ashley's parents can't forget. her dad heard the gunshots in the dining room. >> at least 10 or 11, and when i heard them i started praying. another 40 seconds later the twins melissa called on the phone crying that ashley got shot. >> three teenagers, all innocent bystanders, were shot that night. ashley's parents raced to the scene. >> my daughter laying down, and they stopped me. they pushed me away. >> ashley wasn't alone. the mother of a friend had arrived at the gate to take the girls home. when the shooting stopped she was able to race to ashley's side and holter. >> i remember sitting on the ground going this can be real. this is not real right now. >> ashley wasn't responsive and firefighters had to bring her back. they would lose her again in the ambulance and one more time during surgery. at one point her mother said doctors are ready to call time of death. ashley they say was stubborn and refused to go. ashley says she had won memory. >> on the surgery table. >> her prognosis was grim, the bullet punctured her lung and lodged in her spine. doctors left it there and put her on life-support. they told her parents to prepare for the worst. >> she said i'm sorry. we did everything we can but there is nothing else we can do. and i said i want to see her. >> for hours and days ashley was unresponsive. when she finally opened her eyes she still couldn't communicate. >> i wasn't able to talk for a week. i would bang my arm. or like squeeze the hand because that is the only communication i had. i was so confused and frustrated. no one would tell me what happened to me. >> it was like that for days, doctors telling ashley's parents. she would likely have brain damage. she proved them wrong when one day she called out her mother's name. >> i said, mom, mom. repeating and repeating. >> instead of the expected two months in icu she spent 90 days before being transferred to ucsf children's hospital in oakland. she is paralyzed from the chest down but she will tell you she is lucky. >> i told my mom one day i was like i'm glad i just lost the feeling to my legs. because if i lost my mind that would be crushing. >> they spent christmas in the hospital. 2020 was about coming home. it is a new normal for the girls . she has a new room in the house because her old one is upstairs and hard to get to with her wheelchair. >> it is different, you know. but i'm fine with that because there is still a lot of stuff i can do. >> there is that smile and that optimism that gives those around her hope. three people were arrested for the shooting but her mom says she doesn't focus on them. they focus instead on the firefighters who helped save her life. and the strangers they consider family. and on this 16-year-old girl who still lives giggling with her friends and time. >> people need to focus on the positive because if you keep focusing on what could have happened, then you won't get anywhere in life. >> tomorrow will be ashley's first day back at school at the christian school and the community is trying to get them help. her mother's no longer work to care for her daughter and the family needs long-term housing remain to the morning. we have drizzle as well. you can see the brunt has pushed off to the sierra foothills. in the sierra we are looking at a rain, rain snow mix. snow levels between 6000 and 7000 feet. here is a look at lake tahoe. lake tahoe is just about 6000 feet and it is raining over the lake. this could change of the next few hours and most of this will fall during the morning. if you predicts that americans are going to eat 1.4 billion chicken wings. that's a lot. the number has increased 2% over the last year totaling 27 million more wings. i wonder how they come up with these numbers. a survey says 65% prefer to gobble wings whiles watching sports and 51% say wings should be the official super bowl food. it doesn't clarify if wings fans consider boneless wings as true wings. >> i think yes. i go for easy. my directors are saying no. a war between popular stories. hooters is competing against buffalo wild wings and offering a deal. officials went on a twitter page with a person wearing a hooters cap with chicken wings. they will give out free wings if the game between the chiefs and the 49ers goes into overtime. buffalo wild wings is promising free rings as we needed rain and we needed a good circle. quarter inch to half an inch for the lucky ones and less in the south bay and snow and does sierra. as we get into the afternoon, drier weather returning and beginning to see the system wind down as the brunt of the storm and moisture moves into the sierra. at home just a few sprinkles reported over the bay area. north bay over the hills along sonoma, a few sprinkles there. along the peninsula, not much to speak up. we have drizzle out there falling below the radar. into east bay we have rain over mount diablo. primarily over the hills is where we see that moisture stick around. into the sierra we go. look at lake tahoe, the snow levels are about 6000 feet right now. they will be fluctuating with a few inches of snow. definitely a possibility over the past snow. bring the chain or snow tires. for us, we will leave and the chance for scattered showers in the morning. by lunchtime we dry out with partly cloudy skies and temperatures nearing 60 degrees and warmer for the afternoon. another shot at rain tuesday and a warm up in the extended forecast and that plus current conditions and details coming up. sonoma county authorities are expected to start moving homeless campers into sanction camps today. the county offering to move up to 60 people to the new camp. this people are currently living along the joe rodota trail. not everyone living there wants to move to that new location. >> reporter: breaking ground for this construction is also groundbreaking. sonoma county's first tinyhome village for the homeless. >> having a housing unit you can lock and keep your things safe. >> showers on-site and storage for extra possessions. dog runs for pets and serenity of a state park next-door. an alternative to the joe rodota trail were 200 people are squatting on a mehdi two- mile stretch. this will not clear the trail but it is a critical piece in a suite of solutions. neighborhoods nearest the trail complain of noise, fires, theft and drug use. they demand the campers go. the goal is it is a step in the right direction and allowing people to get stable and then to move on to permanent supportive housing. >> for those who want to stay on the trail? >> that will not be an option. >> evictions are posted. vacate by january 29 . some will happily take a tiny cabin. >> i like it better inside because you are not so cold and not having to worry about your stuff being stolen. >> others say the village is too far out of town even with shuttle buses. sobriety is required and there are other restrictions. >> if going to the super bowl but it's first time as a starter. he talked about the team's chaotic schedule in miami. >> i think when you get down there especially the media availability and the requirements and obligations, just having been through that and being a starter is different with time management. having seen all of that and being up close and personal, that will help me. >> the team is not alone it heading to miami before the game. fans will be packing their bags and making their way to the sunshine state. stub hub said people in california account for 22% of ticket sales on its website. fans here are buying more super bowl tickets than in any other state including kansas and missouri combined. it is not cheap. stub hub said the average price for a ticket is $7000. major airlines have added extra nonstop flights from bay area airports to accommodate. as for today, we will be here for the team's departure and we don't know what time there plane will take off but we know it is after 10 am. ktvu fox 2. police are looking for a man accused of hitting and killing a woman in berkeley. they're looking for 29-year-old alexander mcgee. berkeley police said they noticed a man violently attacking a female passenger near sixth avenue and university on monday. when police tried to intervene he drove off and hit and killed a 58-year-old woman. police from several agencies have tried looking for him and have been unable to locate him. he is considered armed and dangerous. if you have information you are urged to give the police a call. in the san jose police area there is a deadly stabbing that left a woman dead earlier last night. it happened last night at a home on montego avenue. police officers were responding to a welfare check and when police arrived they found an adult female with multiple stab wounds. she was pronounced dead at the scene. the suspect, peter rodriguez, booked into the santa clara jail for murder. police say rodriguez was the person who called them and asked for the wealthfare check. the san jose third homicide at 2020. in turkey the death toll rises after a massive earthquake in the area. a powerful magnitude 6.5 quake hit the eastside on friday night. authorities are saying at least 35 people have been killed. more than 1200 people were injured. the number could change because crews are working against the clock in freezing temperatures. they are searching for more survivors who may be buried in the rubble. that era has been rocked by 200 aftershocks. wildfires put a out on australia day celebration. ironically you are teaching a class on impeachment. is that a coincidence? >> i anticipated there may be something like this going on but i had no idea the timing would be spot on. >> a lot of material to work with. the democrats laid out their case and it took them quite a bit of time. how did they do? >> the majority of the senators are predisposed to acquit the president. their job is to persuade significant numbers of senators to change their minds. the defense, all they have to do is reassure the senators to stick with their predisposition so that less than two thirds votes will impeach. >> 53-47 republicans in the senate so a two thirds majority. >> in the constitution the trial must convict by two thirds majority. that's a lot of work to be done >> there is not much doubt that will not happen. the question now remaining is whether there will be additional witnesses or evidence subpoenaed after senators questing the two sides. >> obviously the president doesn't want some people to speak. how can he put the kibosh on something like that and will we see witnesses before the senate? >> this is the most suspense is around how the boat goes because it takes a simple majority to call witnesses. and so the president is putting pressure on republicans not to allow it. he wants this done before the state of the union. if they start deposing wheat witnesses it could go on for days or weeks. >> can you imagine the state of the union is strong. and it would be quite the same. >> if the case is over and he gets acquitted, he will be saying he has been vindicated and exonerated and there will be house speaker nancy pelosi sitting above him. it will be high drama or high theater at least. >> peter is a good word for that. let's talk about the fact that a lot of the senators are up for reelection in november. how they vote may have an effect on how they are reelected. >> yes. the president defense is intended to provide republican senators with a political position that they can take to the voters. the point for the senators now is where there be consequences if i vote one way or another either on witnesses or on conviction versus acquittal. >> the republicans spent time talking about the bidens. and their association with the ukraine. now could we see the president's attorneys latch onto that? >> they will go on the offense clearly. they will attack the process in the house and attacked the democrats from being partisan and attacked the nature of the charges as being flawed. they are not really going to contradict or try to challenge the facts in the case. what they can do -- the best thing they can do is to point the finger back at the accusers and accuse them. >> joe biden is leading in iowa right now. the caucuses are a week from monday. it's like the perfect storm. >> the timing of this is unbelievable and i believe that policy was thinking about this when she deferred for three weeks sending the articles over . was to have this front and center. and not during the christmas break but as we approach iowa. >> at that your students are glued to the tubes so to speak. >> and finding out lots of things and comparing media mickey. police noted that he was attacking a female passenger. the happen monday. when police tried to intervene they say he drove off and struck and killed a woman. police from several agencies have tried looking for him but are unable to find him. he is considered armed and dangerous based on two pre- existing warrants. any information you have call the police. the police department is investigating a deadly stabbing that left a woman dead last night at a home. police were responded to a welfare check when offices got to the home they found an adult woman with multiple stab wounds and she was deceased. the suspect, peter rodriguez, was booked into the santa clarita county jail. rodriguez was actually the person who called them to ask for the welfare check. this is the third high school football game. three teenagers all innocent bystanders were hit. three others have since been arrested. the other two victims were released fairly quickly but ashley spent months fighting for her life. she is now back home and she is planning on going back to school tomorrow for the first time. it will be exactly 4 months and she was shut and she is facing a new reality. in an exclusive interview she talks for the first time about what happened, her recovery and what is next.>> ashley parker spent the early evening hours of september 27 making these videos and putting on makeup and hanging out with friends. >> we picked each other's outfits, we were just going crazy because we wanted to look cute and take pictures. >> reporter: it was 10 days after she and her twin sister melissa, celebrated their sweet 16. and that night, the group of eight wanted to go to the football game. >> the church week go to, there is different boys who go to different schools of a were carrying on with their other friends around the area. some of the girlfriends from church are cheerleaders. >> reporter: ashley says she remembers fights at the rivalry game on the field and in the stands. but she says everyone was still in a good mood when they left.>> we were trying to get guys numbers. >> reporter: she doesn't remember the fight that broke out across the street. she doesn't remember hearing the shots being fired. she doesn't remember getting shot. but ashley's parents can't forget. her dad heard the gunshots from his dining rooms. >> at least 10 or 11 and when i heard them i started praying. another 40 seconds later, the twin, melissa, cried that ashley got shot. >> reporter: three teenagers, innocent bystanders were shot. ashley's parents raced to the scene. >> i saw my daughter lying down . they stopped me, they pushed me away. >> reporter: ashley wasn't alone, the mother of one of her friends had arrived at the game to take the girls home. and when the shooting stopped, she was able to race to ashley's side and just hold her.>> i remember there, sitting on the ground going, this can't be real. this is not real right now . >> reporter: ashley wasn't responsive and firefighters had to bring her back. they would lose her again in the ambulance and one more time during surgery. at one point, her mother says the doctors were ready to call time of death. but ashley was stubborn. and refused to go. ashley says she had one brief memory.>> coughing on the surgery table. >> reporter: her prognosis was grim, the bullet went through her arm and punctured her lung and lodged in her spine. doctors left it there emperor on life support. they told her parents to prepare for the worst.>> she said i'm sorry, we did everything we can. but there is nothing else we can do and i said i want to see her. >> reporter: for hours and then days, ashley was unresponsive. when she finally opened her eyes, she still couldn't communicate. >> i wasn't able to talk for a week and i would bang my arm is the only thing or squeeze the hand because that's the only communication i had. i was so confused and i was frustrated because no one would tell me what happened to me. >> reporter: it was like that for days with doctors telling ashley's parents she would likely have brain damage. she prove them wrong, when one day, she called out her mother's name.>> i ran really fast and i said i saw ashley saying mom, mom, mom, come or my sister and my sister. >> reporter: instead of two months in icu, she spent 19 days before being transferred to the children's hospital in oakland. she is paralyzed from the chest down but she will tell you, she is lucky.>> i told my mom one day, i am glad i just lost the feelings of my legs. because if i lost my mind, that would be crushing. >> reporter: they spent christmas in the hospital. but 2020 was about coming home. it is a new normal for the girl who loves to play sports and dance with her friends. she has a new room in the house because her old one is upstairs and hard to get to with her wheelchair.>> it's a big difference. it is different. but i'm fine with that because, there is a lot of stuff i can do. >> reporter: there is that smile, and that optimism that gives those around her hope. three people were arrested for the shooting but her mom says she doesn't focus on them. they focus on the firefighters who helped save her life. on the strangers they now consider family. and on the 16-year-old girl who still loves giggling with her friends and who doesn't waste time on what if.>> people need to focus on the positive because if you keep focusing on what could have happened, then you won't get anywhere in life. >> tomorrow will be ashley's first day back at school. we are planning to be there. and as she speaks to innocently at the school, the community is trying to get some help . as his mom is no longer working, she is caring for her daughter full-time and they're searching for quarterbacks. what has kind of typified these games as we are watching them these years, is a playoff games they won, they got behind big and then mahomes was able to bring them back. it will be interesting with the way the 49ers have run the ball whether or not the game plan can play out. >> they are really aware of what this guy does. >> one, his mobility. it is unique, his arm strength is ridiculous, very accurate. i don't think people give him enough credit that he actually plays quarterback. there's a lot of people a lot of quarterbacks in the league that will say no to number one and then it just becomes a street ball. he gets rid of the ball on time and put the where it needs to be an he hits the rhythm and when he needs to take a shot he knows how to buy time in the pocket and do it. he is a superstar and everywhere you can imagine and he is tough to deal with. look at the numbers again and the numbers don't always tell the whole story. but, look at the career records though. these guys not only have the physical capability but the intangibles were you look at a guy and just say he is a winner. >> they have the confidence of their teammates, too. no question about our team but we also have some great young guys like myself that were fired up and wanted to play i wanted to show what we could do as well. i think our coach was great, the fact that he said go down there and have some fun but then, get ready for business. push everybody out, you get all the tickets and all that stuff, everybody down there, get all of that out of the way and then get the laser focus that we were known for. that we definitely had at that game. >> one of the great things the 49ers has done greatly is welcome back so many of the alumni neighbors and for the championship game you were there, is really good to see some of the former players there, welcomed back into the fold. you really feel it, even though it's been a while since you play, when the organization wins you feel like you are part of it.>> we were all winners on that day. one great thing is the way, we are still close. we are still so close. like pete and jesse. all of us. guy mcintyre. those guys still treat me like i'm their little brother. and they're hugging me and i feel small when i'm around the because they're so big . i'm used to being the big guy in real life but when i get around those guys number 24 on the all-time rushers, think of all the thousands of running backs on your number 24 . you witnessed a kid in the nfc championship. tell me what you observed from his running style and the line circa 2019? >> i've been talking about raheem mostert for a while. the other backs are different. this guy is an every down back. he can get the tough yards and he has breakaway speed. he makes it look easy. it looks like he's not moving as fast but he has breakaway speed.>> he explodes. >> he explodes through tackles. i love the way he plays. i love his attitude. here is a guy who plays special teams and he does what he needs to do. it is amazing . that guy there was cut, do you believe that? >> it's not always a perfect science when it comes to evaluating talent in the nfl. >> such a great story, undrafted free agent. that shot says it all but this is pretty interesting when you look at the stats of what has happened in the postseason. look what the 49ers have done rushing and look what they've done passing. they threw all of eight passes in the win over the packers. amazingly, nationally, there are people criticizing the 49ers saying that maybe jimmy garoppolo is in the postseason quarterback. >> it is while that we take criticism for that . we won the game and that's the main point of an nfl football game. you'd be sad if you do for 450 and lost. another example of the team being selfless and what we're doing is a of a quarterback that cares less of you throws for 500 yards or for 10. he wants to win a game.>> he's got to do what he's got to do. that's why i love jimmy but i'm tired of talking about jimmy.>> what is your reaction to jimmy garoppolo throwing eight passes? like joe alluded to, he could care less. >> i think that is great. i think the teams that run the football and stop the other team from running the football has the best chance of winning when it comes to playoffs and definitely the super bowl. it becomes a situation where the toughest team is the better team. >> the 49ers are physical. >> in the days of these teams are known as finesse 49ers. they've changed that. >> what is so oppressive about that team as well as you
