47, the winds are generally light, seeing some fog along the coastline. a little bit of ground fog in our valley locations. it doesn't look too bad though. visibility a -okay for most of us getting out the door and on to the highways. we are going to remain dry today, tomorrow into sunday. we have a modest warm up coming our way through the weekend. things start to change by monday. transition to schooler weather, breezy weather, and by tuesday, rain in the bay area. i have details on your afternoon highs for your weekend. more on the rain and sierra snow coming up in just a little bit. here's a check on traffic with allie. let's take advantage of the okay traffic before that rain hits. here's the bay bridge toll plaza. things don't look too bad. you can see someone getting pulled over in the cash lane there is. the commute is lightning up just a little bit. you're looking at a ten to 15-minute delay to get on to the sand. let's take a quick checkest commute in eastern contra costa county. you can see westbound highway 4 through pittsburgh and bay point and then as you head south on 680, 242 and concord and 680 southbound. once you make it to this point though westbound highway 24 in lafayette, things are looking a lot lighter than they were. it looks like people got an earlier start. we also checked your public transit venues. no delays expected on bart, cal trans, or muni. 7:02. let's go back to the desk. >> now san jose, police are engaged in the standoff that started last night near oak grove high school near south san jose. we're joined to tell you what's happening. christina? >> reporter: good morning to you, pam. we just got to the scene about five minutes so we haven't had time to assess the situation. a police officer blocked off the situation to ty hirst court, an area where we see seen some police activity and we've seen the police officer pulling out from that street and very few details are being released. a spokeswoman says investigators are processing the scene instead of releasing more details they don't want to jeopardize the investigation at this point, so all we know is the standoff happened some time after 6:00 last night when officers came to a house in this neighborhood to serve a search warrant. after that, it led to an hour's long standoff overnight. i was able to talk with a neighbor who just came outside with her dog. she said she saw a helicopter over the scene around midnight. she wasn't quite sure whether the activity was still going on but we know there was a man who was believed to be barricaded inside a home here in this neighborhood. a bomb was found on campus in the student parking lot. and last night we spoke a woman who says her husband may be the one who barricaded himself inside of a home, but she says he's connected to the incident. >> he wasn't even around. he's not even in the area. so he couldn't have been a part of it. this is ridiculous. >> police have not given us any indication the bomb found at okay grove is related to the standpoint. all we can see is the police officer's vehicle on trade winds drive blocking off street. we'll bring you more details and see if we can check out to get some more details from the area. some of the streets that were reopened were initially closed off and we saw the area's activity has been narrowed down. as soon as we have more information we'll bring it to you. live in san jose, ktvu. and police are still searching for whoever left a homemade bomb on the campus of oak grove high school. it was found tuesday in the school's student parking lot. there will be classes today ahead of the thanksgiving break. yesterday students and teachers came back. students were evacuated to a nearby park. students are comforting each other but some still say they nervous. >> we always have to be careful with our surroundings. >> the bomb is being examined at the santa clara county crime lab. it will eventually go to the fbi and neighborhoods are checking surveillance cameras looking for clues leading to the suspect. the atf is leading the investigation for anyone who can give information on people who were killed during a halloween shooting inside an airbnb. five people were arrested but four have been released and no one has been charged for the murders. the atf announced it has a gun that is linked to multiple shootings in the bay area. the gun was confiscated during arrests carried out while investigating the mass shooting in o rind a. no other details were given connected to the crime or if anyone else is in custody. 7:06. we're learning about the man who fatally stabbed a man on a bart train in hayward. after' deadly fight on a bart train on tuesday, there are reports that oliver williams confronted brim for trying to steal shoes from a sleeping passenger. we've also learned the brim may have been looking for shoes because his shoes were remove during a psychiatric evaluation. alameda county sheriff's ray kelly says it's not unusual for sike patients to leave' facility especially if they're not under arrest. >> there would be no police cars or officers on the street in every psychiatric hold. >> the whole thing was captured and brim is being held without bail in dublin. 7:07. during the bart board of directors meeting yesterday, the members had a moment of silence in memory of the man killed on that bart train. several bart employees told them they are committed to making the entire bart board safe and promised to increase patrols to make the trains and platforms safer for riders. today's the last day of the dream force convention in san francisco. avenue. according to chp, the far left lane is shut down because of it. we can expect backups starting to build there and that's what we're seeing. we went ahead to the dublin-plesanton, livermore valley. you can see eastbound 580 at hacienda. there is some very slow traffic in the southbound direction of 680 as you pass that 580/680 interchange. let's take a look at the drive at the carquinez bridge. an earlier crash has been cleared but there is a little bit of residual slowing because of that. here's 880 in oakland and traffic is lightning up in the northbound direction as we pass the main street and fire officials are investigating to see if there were homeless people in the building. >> it's a good probability because nobody was living there for at least a couple years that i know of. >> the fire spread to the attic of a home next door and tlented a nearby business, but firefighters were able to put it out before that happened. in senate on rosa police are investigating a deadly stabbing and if a marijuana grow is connected to the crime. a 55-year-old was killed on jennings avenue. investigators found signs of the struggle. a woman returning home found his body and rushed next door to neighbors to get help. property records show a couple has lived there for 16 years and neighbors are wondering if a marijuana growing in their victim's backyard was a factor in the chicago where the company says a total of 17 employees are suing the company alleging it has failed to sign its stores to minimize violence. nowocasions have split counters that are lower and have south bay. there is a couple problems there we've been following. southbound 101 north of highway 87, southbound 880 at 1st street. this is a crash that happened an hour ago involving a dump truck and still in the clearing stages. northbound 880 just south of carl road. that's your south bay commute. 101 in san jose. this stretch doesn't look too bad. 280 in san jose. quick check of the san mateo bridge. it is getting slower. 8:02. police were involved in a standoff in south san jose. streets in the area are still closed off. the entrance was blocked off there. it's unclear what exactly they're doing but we are learning there is an active standoff. we can only assume it means they're collecting evidence and the area isn't yet cleared to be open to the public. we know authorities came to this neighborhood around 6:00 p.m. to serve a search warrant -- and after that it led to an hour's long standoff and we believe that is on tie hirst court. people were evacuated from their homes and some heard loud sounds overhead, as well as police demand for that man to come out. we just spoke to one family when had to spend the night with a relative because they wasn't allowed in their home. >> i still have my clothes on and i don't know if i'm going to go to school or not. >> he just, like, wasn't coming out, i guess. all of this is happening at oak grove. a bomb was found in the campus of the student parking lot. police have not given us any indication that what happened last night and in terms of last night's standoff has any connection to the bomb but there were some rumors in the neighborhood that was the case. we know they continue to have trade winds as they continue to investigate, and we'll bring you more information and before we send it back i want to bring you some information from fox 2 news. police are searching for whoever found the bomb in the student parking lot. classes will be held today ahead of the thanksgiving break. yesterday students and teachers went back for the first time since the bomb was found. tuesday the shelter was ordered and evacuated to a nearby park. some students were still pretty nervous. >> just the a buntance of health the school was providing and just my friends and support. he's been doing fine but we always have to be careful with our surroundings. >> that bomb's being examined at the santa clara county crime lab but it will go to the fbi. investigators also checking neighborhood security cameras looking for clues leading to the suspect. the atf is offering a reward for information on the mass shooting on halloween in orinda. the agency will give up to $20,000 for anyone who can give information that'll lead to the arrest of whoever is responsible for the shooting. five people were killed during a halloween party inside an airbnb. police arrested five people in connection to the shooting, but four have been released, and no one has been charged with the murders. the atf announced it has a gun linked to multiple shootings in the bay area. that was confiscated while investigating in orinda. the agency did not offer details on other crimes connected to the gun or if anyone else is in custody. 8:06. we're finding out about the man accused of stabbing a man in hayward on a bart train. brim is caused with murder and carjacking after a deadly fight on a bart train tuesday. ktvu has been told williams confronted brim for trying to steal shoes from a sleeping passenger. his shoes were taken from him during a psychiatric evaluation. he walked away from the san leandro hospital hours before that deadly stabbing. alameda county sheriff sergeant ray kelly said it's not uncommon or unheard of for a psyche patient to leave a facility, especially if they haven't been arrested. during the bart board of directors meeting yesterday, there was a moment of silence. several employees said they are committed to making the entire bart system safer and the bart board promised they will increase police patrols to make trains and platforms safer for riders. window has been scattered throughout america so when people think of the kincaid wildfire, they think of the winery. somehow, some way, they're open. they are pouring wine, and they're doing it specifically in a barn that was saved by firefighters. so a good conversation with ken and diane wilson still to come in the next hour as the soul of that property, i like to say, still exists. as
