that multiple people have been injured and county authorities say as many as six people are said to be injured after a shooting at this high school in santa clarita. we only have news that investors are looking for one suspect and a vague description of a man wearing black clothing. we can clearly see that there are police on scene with a lot of law enforcement activity, which is what you would expect but this is happening in santa clarita and southern california and by this, this is what schools train and prepare for. we talked about active shooter trails and parents knowing what to do if they get a call or text from the school about something happening and at this point, this is very much a reality at saugus high school. >> neighboring schools also in this area currently are on lockdown at elementary schools and other high schools and another chopper showed us some students. i am not sure if it was at saugus high school or another one on lockdown but students are being led out of the building in a single file line and being let out to parking lots. the gunman is being looked for in the area, only described as a male wearing black clothing and we do not know if individual flat campus or is currently on campus and again all schools in the area are currently on lockdown in the first call came in around 11:40 am and that is when paramedics arrived. they called about someone shot on campus. we did see one person on a stretcher being taken away by paramedics but now crossing the wires according to la county authorities, six injuries were reported after a shooting at the high school in santa clarita. >> we do not know who the attacker is but we are thinking about the timing, that is a time that high school students are on campus so this is coming at and we have gone through lockdown drills and it can be nerve- racking for parents and they say my son or daughter goes to saugus high school i want to rush there to get them and that is not the thing to do. lockdown means no one comes in or goes out and do things that are taking shelter in their classroom have to wait for law enforcement to come in and to clear each one of them another let out single file and told to leave their backpacks behind it have their hands up. so no potential attacker can hide him or herself amongst a group of students they are being told to walk out single file
