They were in the middle of a flight instruction yesterday. Wayne roger was killed in this crash, 62 year old Flight Instructor and owner of the flight school. The student with him at the time was able to walk way way from the wreckage but transported to the hospital. The pair were practicing hovering this happened. Hovering is when the hospital stays in one place. They were talking to the control tower. Im not aware of any problems before the accident occurred. Reporter the instructor and student borrowed the helicopter they were using from another company at the airport but the chopper is one that is used for training flights. The manager called it the Gold Standard for helicopter flight training. He is described by trends and colleagues as andevoted husband and father to three grown children.
