It happened just after 10 30 near ridgecrest in kern county but could be felt as far as san diego, las vegas, even in Santa Clara County near morgan hill. There are no immediate reports of deaths or serious injuries but late this afternoon, Governor Newsom declared a state of emergency in kern county. Officials in ridgecrest, which is a city just 29,000 people, they were responded responding to dozens of calls. Reporter Surveillance Footage from this restaurant shows the force of the quake as the building shook items off shelves and employees run for cover. The quake shook bottles of the shelf of this liquor store, reportedly causing thousands in damage. One person took footage of the Swimming Pool with water sloshing as the quake shook the area.
