You can see the police suv parked on the front lawn. A woman at the home called police for help and was removing her personal belongings out of this house after a domestic disturbance. Officellan responded to that call, and a man with a rifle in the home shot officer Tara Osullivan. After she was struck, her fellow officers were not able to get to her or pull her to safety to get medical attention. The suspect continued to fire his weapon at the police. Finally, about 45 minutes after the officer was shot, they were able to rush her to the hospital where she died from her injuries. The suspect continues to standoff with police for several hours, neighbors and residents in the area were told to shelter in place and we spoke to one resident a short time ago, he foseveral hours during that standoff. At 2 00 this morning, the suspect was brought into custody after police were able to convince the man to surrender.
