This will shift north a little bit with the next system dropping in. A town with one rain road to the highway the officials want to be prepared in case of an emergency. If something happened there, there is only way out. That is the biggest concern with the area. People that live in the Country Club Area are waking up to an alert on the phone and the radio saying there is an evacuation drill. It is just a drill. So nothing to be too concerned about. But it is very important. You see it is underway here. The police are block off the road here. This closure from gloria to st. Andrews where everybody will be rerouted. As you drive eastbound, you will turn on to casa vega. They are thinking about doing an evacuation drill for a while. With the camp fire, it added some emergency to. This is a two lane narrow road. And the next hour, this has been changed to a one way road as residents practice evacuating. The 17,000 people will use this as the main Evacuation Route to highway 24. This is very important. The fire will be with us for a long time. Right now, were in the middle of winter, but summer is around the corner. So were at it again. Reporter we saw the terrible traffic jam in paradise during the camp fire when people were trying to get out of town. This is to help prevent a similar situation. It is divided into 23 evacuation zones and the only zone to be evacuated is the mirga country club. There were 520 homes with one road in and one road out. So this could be a big problem area in an emergency like a wildfire. The chief tells us, that he is not sure if everyone will participate in it. But it is important for residents and important the Law Enforcement to see how Something Like this would go. That is why they are doing the evacuation drill. The chief did tell us that they are planning to do this in the future. Thank you for that. Time is 7 05. A new report from cal fire details the injuries to firefighters that were battling the deadly camp fire in butte county. Two firefighters and a fire captain were overcame by flames and injured. They ran into a barbed wire fence and the fire captain suffered burns to his hands and upper arms. A 250gallon propane tank exploded a little north of paradise injuring two firefighters. And when it reached the town of paradise, the fire spread building to building. Community was bombed relent relent leslie relentlessly. Fire will are report used as and education tool to help prepare for future wildfires. Others are accusing pg g of not giving accurate reports to the construction crews for excavation projects. Lee lee has the amber lee has the details of that investigation and the response from the pg g. The Border Patrol is launching an investigation of the cityies of a young girl from criminal the circumstances of a young girl from Central America who died while in detention. The reason for this is because the main dry between moraga is moraga way it is a twolane narrow road. For about 20 or 30 minutes earlier, moraga way was changed to a oneway road, and residents tried to evacuate. An Emergency Alert was sent out, where 800 people in the moraga Country Club Area this exercise also allowed a Law Enforcement to practice the effectiveness of those alerts. Moraga police say they have been thinking about doing an evacuation drill for a while, but, if there was a wildfire here the 17,000 people who live in moraga would use moraga way is the main Evacuation Route to highway 24. In communities like this, they are routes, the roads are narrow. Very whiny. There is always the chance of cars not operating, or failing. That blocks the road. The a woman fell asleep while cooking, that started a fire that led to an evacuation of an Apartment Building in concord, the fire happened on friday morning at the lakeview villas, threestory building on ellis street in concord the entire Apartment Building had to be evacuated, fire investigators say that woman who fell asleep while she was cooking woke up to the fire alarms in the flames in her apartment, this is what her unit looked like afterwards. We are oakland, one of 32 different places we havent six countries. What we do in oakland is we are trying to help young people get out of the homelessness situation. They come to us in many different ways, they hear about us through wordofmouth, outreach people work with them, kids in the street pulled them into the program. They come into the program, and, we will work with them in housing and food and job training. We work with Mental Health and Substance Abuse issues, things of that nature. This is not Court Ordered . This is a voluntary program, the court can tell you that you have to get into a shelter, but it is not like Covenant House, where we will take a person are young person does not have to stay if they do not want to.
