Dozens of cars and hundreds of spectators took over the intersection on high street leading to the 880 onramp. There was a second location further up on high street outside of foothill high school. The illegal activity left the streets and a few people robbed this convenience store. The exxon gas station owner let us record the surveillance video. The store was locked and only a security window was open to customers. Just after 2 am, a man is seen kicking through the glass door. This the security alarm is hit but several people rush into the store and start grabbing items. They entered into the store. There was no injury to the staff. Reporter there were no injuries reported. Customers were surprised to hear sideshow came onto such a small intersection. I actually was walking near foothill square. It was 10 pm and i saw a lot of smoke. I heard cars revving. I walked up and there were 20 or 30 cars parked in the middle of the street. Reporter he is surprised that even a small sideshow would choose high street. The damage to this store will cost several thousand dollars. I am not worried about the financial loss. My First Priority is the security of my staff. Reporter not everyone at the sideshow got away when Police Showed up. The department impounded 30 cars and issued 147 citations. In oakland, leigh martinez, ktvu fox 2 news. There is a new report that pg e powerlines started two small fires in the santa rosa on the same day that those massive wildfires started in october. The Santa Rosa Prescott reports the city fire investigators have determined the strong winds caused utility lines to spark to fall over which created sparks. Cal fire continue to investigate the cause of the larger fires which killed 40 people and destroyed 6200 homes. That makes them the deadliest and most destructive fires in state history. We will have more 70s coming up next week. Federal investigators are now on the scene of a deadly train collision this morning in south carolina. That crashed left and coamtrak conductor and and coengineer dead. Brian yunus has more on the investigation. Reporter amtrak train 91 was traveling from new york to miami when it collided with a stationary csx Freight Train sunday morning in south carolina. The train carrying 147 people, eight crew members and 139 passengers. Two amtrak crew members died in the crash. 150 people were sent to area hospitals. It appeared to the governor that the amtrak train was traveling on the wrong track because the Freight Train was parked on a loading track or a sidetrack when the amtrak train slammed into it. The governor believes the amtrak train was traveling at approximately 59 Miles Per Hour the National Transportation safety board is on the scene. We will determine the time it happened and try to determine why it happened. We will determine if it is human error and if so, why. A new report says there are 9000 massage parlors across the country being used as fronts for human sex trafficking including several hundred in the bay area. People who live in palo alto are on alert right now after two Mountain Lion sightings were reported last night. The first big cat was spotted around 10 pm as a woman drove down wildwood lane.
