We were under a tsunami watch only today. It was just a tsunami watch and now we have been downgraded to nothing. We are not expecting any significant tsunami amplitude coming into the coast of california today. The warning was only for alaska and British Columbia in canada. And an advisory was out actually, there was no advisory out. The warning for alaska in canada has been downgraded to an advisory. What can we expect for california . We will still see a very small, when i say small im talking about a couple inches, of a tsunami wave coming through. The main issue with that at this point will be enhanced currents around the area through places like the golden gate. People on the water this morning whether on boats or kayaks or swimming or surfing, they may experience more current than normal. Its an interesting process to go through as we watch and learn about the faultlines are tectonic plates that caused the tsunamis. In terms of these Warning Systems and how they are set up and how they are supposed to work to warn people, did everything work as it should have . Yes. Everything worked as it should have. But we are also looking around the entire Pacific Basin and around the ring of fire and the subduction zone that circles the pacific for any earthquake that occurs.
