The somersville road exit at a high rate of speed and thats when the deputy the lights went on and pursuit began. But it ended quickly when police say that the drive ran a red light and slammed into that silver f150 pickup. Three people in the f150 were injured including two children who we heard earlier tonight were in critical condition. We are still waiting for confirmation from the Sheriffs Office, who hasnt returned our phone calls yet. Earlier though we spoke with a witness who described what she saw and what she heard moment after that crash. Heres what she had to say. I didnt hear the sirens, just when they were coming down the freeway it looked like just his lights were on and you didnt hearing screeching or anything. All you heard was an atomic boom. And obviously, the white truck hit the gray truck. And my husband was on our motorhome and said the whole gray truck just went up on its side and debris exploded all over the place. Reporter the driver in the white pickup truck and the three individuals in the silver pickup truck were taken to the hospital. The Contra Costa Sheriffs Office has not released anyones identities. The suspect is a 23yearold man from pittsburg. We are working to get more information on them and, of course, their injuries tonight. Alyana, this crash happened around 12457 today. Alyana gomez in antioch, thank you. Another stolen car investigation ended with a Fremont Police officer hurt and one of two suspects being taken to the hospital. It all began when the officers started following a stolen car from fremont and pulled it over in hayward. A passenger jumped out of the car and as the officer gave chase on foot, the driver took off hitting them. Ktvus henry lee is in hayward with the latest. The suspects are both women. Reporter we are at the corner of broadmoor and larchmont in hayward. This is still an active scene where that detective and one of the female suspect was injured about 2 00 this afternoon. Police were investigating the theft of a hyundai suv that has a lyft sticker in the windshield. The chase took them to hayward. There were two women in the stolen suv when detectives tried to stop them near the corner of larchmont and broadmoor in hayward but the woman driving the suv threw it in reverse hitting an unmarked Fremont Police car. Now, as this was happening the other woman in the suv got out and ran. A detective in another car began chasing her on foot and thats when the woman driving the suv rammed more Police Vehicles, jumped a curb and ended up driving on a grassy area. Thats where she hit both the detective and the woman he was chasing. The woman in the car then fled a mile away in hayward and rammed a Police Vehicle before being taken into custody. It was very chaotic in the sense that we had an injured officer, the injured passenger and obviously communication we had to coordinate with the Hayward Police department. Reporter now, the detective had a moderate leg injury and was taken to the hospital as well as one of the female suspects. No names have been released. But as you can see, detectives will be here into the night investigating the incident reporter he saw a newspaper man who told him this. Two men were two men were outside of the car. One man goes inside and grabs a coffee. Witnesses say that there was no arguing, nothing. And then the man pulls out the other man waiting for him pulls out a gun and shoots him twice in the gut. You didnt hear any bullets . No. It must have been a small weapon and i didnt hear a thing. There were witnesses that had contact with the victim. Reporter 90 minutes later another nearby shooting call. We are investigating a second shooting that happened at about 10 00 in the area of baywood lane and Sutherland Park again in the city. In reference to that shooting, um, we do have somebody in custody. And what we are looking at is any relation between the first victim and that person and we are talking or trying to talk to the person we have in custody from the second shooting in order to determine if these two things are related. The city of oakland is launching a new program to try to encourage people to rent to lowincome families. The chp is lacking for whoever shattered windows on five tech charter buses on 280 in redwood city. These photos come to us from mashable. The chp says four of the five buses were carrying apple employees. The other was a google employee bus. The chp says the windows were shattered yesterday as the buses traveled in both north and southbound directions at different times of day. No injuries. The chp is working with apple on the investigation. These buses are unmarked, so we dont anticipate that they were targeting one company because there were apple and google buses but it looks like they were targeting the charter buses.
