The driver of the vehicle stopped and has cooperated with investigators. Police are investigating a deadly afternoon shooting. A man was shot with one gunshot wound and a parking lot. The victim has not yet been identified. No suspect or motive has been released. The chp is working to track down a person who sought out a car. The woman was driving east on i 80 which she reported hearing gunshots and her back window shattered. Investigators found no shell casings but bullet holes on the side of the car. Back to the oakland city workers strike, 3000 people picketed this weekend overfilled contract negotiations. There is hope tonight that an agreement could be reached as soon as tomorrow. Reporter the unions in the city have agreed to settle the strike and mediation. He says his first meeting with the mediator will happen tomorrow afternoon. But it is the first step in a process. 3000 oakland city workers have been on strike since tuesday. They plan to continue to strike tomorrow. That means oakland residents have to plan for another day of limited City Services. That includes the head start and afterschool child programs, parking enforcement, library services, and building projects. The city has offered a 4 raise for the first year of the workers contracts. A possibility of another raise at 2 afterwards depending on city revenue. City workers would like to see a resolution soon but feel strongly about wage increases and other issues they demand. I am on able to live in the city i love. We have given back so much during the recession. We give back so many concessions. We want to be made whole at least. Help us catch up.
