Police in antioch are investigating after a man was shot and killed yesterday morning. Police responded to a call about a shooting on empire mine road. They found the shooting victim in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene. If you have any information, call antioch police. Theres a new development regarding brock turner, the former swimmer convicted of sexual assault. A group working to recall the judge says the request for a new trial has no merit. Lawyers filed an appeal in federal court friday. And claim that prosecutors presented inaccurate information and that the trial was quote fundamentally unfair. Turner was found guilty on three charges of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman. He served three months in jail. There was overwhelming evidence of his guilt, including two eyewitnesses and dna. Turner is currently living in ohio as a registered sex orderer. A hearing is expected sometime next year. A memorial in San Francisco set up on pier 14 has now been taken down. It was put up on friday by a White Supremacist Group after the man charged in her killing was acquitted of murder.
