Do you find yourself giving more to charity. Maybe not necessarily in monetary ways. Right. We give. I feel especially in the bay area, the need is so great this year. Before school started, shots were fired in san jose on the campus of an elementary school. Ktvus Leigh Martinez is live at the school to tell us what you know so far. Reporter mike, youre right. This is the second time the school she is Security Cameras were targeted. The first time was over the Veterans Day Weekend. Early this morning, though, a shooter targeted another camera. This time it was on top of the library building. And parents coming to school with their kids this morning, they are very fearful, wanting to know why a gunman who is still on the loose is targeting the school. Now, San Jose Police say at 3 49 this morning, neighbors reported a man shooting a gun in the area. Police say the shooter was firing a small gauge shotgun at a Security Camera on the library. The top casing of the camera, the eaves and the front of the building have damage. Police set up a perimeter and searched for the shooter but never found him. They called off the search after an hour and a half. Parents bringing their kids to school this morning had mixed reactions to the shooting. I have no idea who it is. But what if he returns during the day . What if hes on drugs . If im going to do something wrong, which i which i dont. But if i am, im going to take out the Monitoring System which is the cameras so i can come back during the day and possibly do something wrong. Were all concerned about our kids. At the end of the day, we have trust in the school. They care for our kids each and every one. And life has to go on. Reporter now, this is the second time the schools cameras were targeted. Over Veterans Day Weekend a camera on the e building was shot out. In that case, again, no arrests were made. Now, earlier we did talk to a spokesperson with the School District office. And the office there. They say that they are working with the police. They did do a robocall from the principal out to all of the parents this morning. If a parent for some reason did not get a phone call, it probably is because they dont have an updated phone list emergency phone list with the school or with the School District. Here encouraging parents to sign up for that. The robocall came out at 7 00. The shooting happened a little before 4 00 a. M. So the school says, you know, they did do a very active preemptive, trying to get the information out as quickly as possible and trying to get the Accurate Information out as soon as possible. This time working with police they consider this a case of vandalism and nothing else at this time. Leigh martinez, thank you. This afternoon, the San Francisco board of supervisors will decide whether or not to overturn the controversial sale of a street in the citys Presidio Heights neighborhood. The private street you may remember was sold at auction for just 90,000. Ktvus alex savidge is live in San Francisco to bring us more on why the homeowners, alex, believe the sale was unlawful. Reporter yeah. Good morning to all of you. And the homeowners hearsay that the city didnt do enough to notify them before selling off their private street two years ago. Presidio terrace was sold at auction after the Homeowners Association failed for years to pay property taxes on this small street, the sidewalks, and the common areas in this exclusive San Francisco neighborhood. This is Presidio Heights. A couple from san jose paid 90,000 for the private street, which is lined with multi Million Dollar homes. The city says for 30 years, the Homeowners Association failed to pay a 14 annual property tax bill for the street, which is a separate lot. The Homeowners Association says those tax bills went unpaid because they were all being mailed to the address of a retired accountant. Had the homeowners had an opportunity to take part in the sale or to know about it, if there was a notice posted, if the required effort had been made, and it wasnt, they would have been able to solve this. Reporter the hoa also claims that the notice of sale for their private street had been returned as undeliverable by the postal service. Now, the city treasurer says those property tax bills were all being sent to the address on record. And the city maintain thats it did nothing wrong. But still the hoa is asking the board of supervisors to rescind this sale, calling the transaction unlawful and unjust. And the board of supervisors is expected to take a vote on this controversial issue and decide whether to overturn the sale of the small street in San Francisco. That will happen at a special meeting at 3 00 this afternoon at city hall. Very interesting to see that vote and how it turns out. Thanks, alex.
