Video ever on youtube. It was music video of the year, it was introduced to me late during my bachelorette party. I think it had been out for a while before then but my question is because it was so big is the cool song factor still there . Me and my daughters we used to have to play that every single day but now maybe just every week. There kind of over it. My children love it and my wife loves it. I want to show the little ones my video but a little dance party after dinnertime is fun. My daughter says it is embarrassing for her because you have seen the video right . It is very adult themed. It is on youtube now so you can check it out. We are glad you are with us. We hope your travel is not going slowly. Today is expected to be the busiest travel day of the Holiday Season at San Francisco international. Sfo was getting busy at 5 00 this morning. Leigh martinez has been at the airport all morning long and these lines keep getting longer. Reporter it is funny you say that because i have noticed a pattern. Every other hour is bad and now 9 00 is not looking as bad. We dont have the line wrapping around. We spoke with a spokesperson for the airport and they say they have been coordinating with the airlines for this day. Look how fast people are going through here. They are encouraging people to do the roadside baggage checkin to save some time. If you are tsa precheck that should save time. San Francisco International says people traveling the friday before thanksgiving has been the trend over the last five years. It is no longer wednesday. At different times throughout the morning the security checkpoint line stretched down to the baggage check or wrapped around itself. A spokesperson says more airport employees are on schedule today and they are bringing their best to get passengers through the gates. More than 169,000 passengers are expected to fly in and out of the airport today which is 14,000 more than what they would see on an average day. Many passengers say they did not have much choice but to fly today. I am working on thanksgiving so this is the only opportunity to get with family. We picked today because our flights went from 600 leaving today up to 1000 two leave next week. So it was dramatically cheaper. Now i see why. The airport contributes the high volume of air travel passengers to most schools now giving kids the whole week off for thanksgiving. Even though it looks kind of light right now things are moving in waves so one hour is golden and the next one that is not the case. They encourage you to get here a few hours early but these parents in line all say that they got here 3 to 4 hours early because it is hard when you are shuttling kids everywhere. It will be interesting to see if it gets worse throughout the day. This is nice kind of like a regular day, but coming home from your holiday they say that the friday after thanksgiving will likely be the slowest travel day and one of the cheaper days to fly. The busiest for next week will be next sunday when everyone comes home. At least there is no rain today. San jose international is pretty busy. Last year more than 400,000 travelers went through in the two weeks around thanksgiving which was a 15 jump from 2015. Officials credit the increase to new airlines expanded routes and travelers flying out of san jose instead of San Francisco international. We are talking about the weather. And what is today looking like . We have sunshine. The sun is back in time for your weekend. It will be cool but dry. Here is a good view from the golden gate bridge. If you are flying out of sfo the weather should not delay you. Temperatures are a bit cool this morning. We have blue skies overhead as we started out with sprinkles earlier they have now moved on and we are in the clear for your afternoon. Temperatures at this hour are struggling over the north bay with 48. Lower 50s in oakland, 55 san jose and you might need a light jacket because it is going to be a cool fall day down by just a few degrees with clear skies. For the afternoon this is what you should expect. 62 San Francisco and oakland in the lower 60s. Livermore at 64 and here is a look at the extended forecast as we get into the bay area weekend. Waking up with patchy fog in the valley locations where it could be dense at times. Late night Early Morning we expect fog. 60s expected by sunday and by sunday night the clouds move back in and by monday the next opportunity for rain is coming. Between now and then enjoy the dry weekend. Development in the case of a man who flew to the bay area after escaping from a Psychiatric Hospital in hawaii. Randall saito has a hearing at 1 30 this afternoon in san joaquin county. He agreed to give jailhouse interviews yesterday to reporters. I can live in the Community Without doing drugs and without hurting anyone. I want to prove to them i did it. Saito has been at a hospital outside of honolulu for 36 years after killing a woman in 1979. He was found not guilty by reason of insanity. The woman that i murdered in 1979, i have regretted it every day since. I pray for her every day. He had 7000 to fund his escape to california. Seven employees from the Hawaii State Hospital are now on unpaid leave as officials investigate if they helped him. We are learning more about the deadly shooting rampage in tehama county. We know the names of the people who died. Michelle mcfadyen, danny elliot, diana steele, Joseph Mchugh and barbara gilsan. They all lived in rancho tehama and ranged in age from 38 to 68. The gunman, kevin oneill neal was shot and killed by police. He had been mentally ill for a long time according to his sister. We started to hear more about the victims and obviously you lose yourself in that and you want to worry about them and make sure the kids are okay and the families. So you pray for them and really try to see what you can do. Investigators say two of the guns were homemade and the other two were not registered. He was not allowed to have guns after being served with a restraining order. Sonoma county has identified three more victims of the wildfire. They are 68yearold Marjorie Schwartz and 40yearold michael grabow. The fires killed 43 people, 23 from sonoma county. Two have yet to be identified. All this week we have been reporting on the legacy of oaklands deadly ghost ship warehouse fire. This morning we will hear from the family of a victim from the east bay. They are finding ways to find their loss into something positive. Just outside the shell of the ghost ship warehouse front and center is a memorial carrying the name of the 36 people who died here together. One of the names is bernbaum who was just making a name for himself as a light and video artist. There were moments where it suddenly hits me. Jonathan is now gone. Bernbaum had gone to the Electronic Dance Party at the ghost ship to see some friends and support his fellow video artist. He never returned to his apartment. Bernbaum was 34. Right after he died there were a lot of moments like that where it would hit me. I would be driving and frankly i would have to stop the car because i would start almost yelling. The family photo from thanksgiving sits prominently in the living room. The last time they would be together. It was taken eight days before the fire. Along the way, the family has found a way to find silver linings. We have learned so much more about jonathan from his friends and from his community. In some way it has been very wonderful. To find out who he was even more so than the person we thought we knew. Jonathan bernbaum grew up in berkeley the youngest of two boys. He received his masters from Southern California film school but he became increasingly successful as a dj at various clubs and concert halls. Creating visual experiences by mixing light colors and images turning all of that into an art form. Here is a small sample. [ music ] the family wanted to find some way to bring something positive out of the ashes of the fire so they found three ways to honor their son and the others who died here. They have established the Jonathan Bernbaum Memorial Fund which will be granted annually to an innovative and cutting edge bay area artist. The second grant will go to a student experimental filmmaker at usc. There is also the Ambitious Program called the vital Arts Building being developed. How about raising money from large corporations to have a real impact so that arts and culture can continue to thrive in the bay area. We cannot bring jonathan back but is there something we can do that will inspire people in his memory. From berkeley ktvu fox 2 news. Tonight our series continues with the impact of the fire on oaklands underground art scene struggling to find a sense of Community One year later. Coming up, we will sit down and talk with congresswoman barbara lee about the gop tax plan making it to the house and the rise on of Sexual Assault allegations on capitol hill. Not a choice. Choose your mattress with tulo. Everything you want in a bed, in a box. What if there was only one pet . Now what if there was only one mattress . One is not a choice. Choose your mattress with tulo. Everything you want in a bed, in a box. For state and local income Tax Deduction here in california that is over 6 Million People losing 18,000. How is that obstruction in text that is siding middle income individuals. So what is the plan . Our plan is to make sure we kill this in the senate. When you look at what the senate is doing it is even worse they are trying to eliminate the individual mandate for the Affordable Care act so 13 Million People what the president is talking about is really just another example of his lack of leadership because we are on the side of the people. He is on the side of corporations and billionaires. Lets switch topics to another important subject playing out. Sexual harassment allegations. Against a couple of lawmakers. The Florida Democratic Party Chairman has now resigned after women complained about sexual inappropriate comments that he made while i will ask you do you think he should resign . First of all women bringing forth, coming forward and talking about these charges i am glad that women are doing that. We deserve a voice and anyone who has been sexually harassing women or sexually abusing women, you must be held accountable. You need to be called out. Senator al franken needs to do something and i am all forcing anyone who engages these actions with women needs to move aside. So you dont support . He should step aside. This is awful what is taking place. We are not going to allow this to happen. I think jackie speier, she has shown we have legislation and sexualharassment trainings and hopefully this will become required for members and staff and we have to stop the secret disclosures. What did you think the first time you saw this photo . I said what is that . What is this about . This is crazy. I know there are calls for investigations into lawmaker actions. Some people think how can they investigate themselves . Do you think that is enough or do we need an independent counsel like former Law Enforcement or formal former lawmakers . I am forming a group to look into collusion in the election but of course we need independent commissions. We need an outside group looking at allegations. That is fine with me. We have to get to the bottom of this. We are not tolerating this anymore and now the floodgates are opened. More women will be coming forward and we have a voice and we have said no more. You have been working for an awfully long time in the east bay, have you seen any kinds of changes . Change for the better or worse. I have seen both. We have been moving forward on so many issues as it relates to women, but also i have seen the clock being rolled back. That is why we stay vigilant and when you look at the altar right and white nationalists just look at what they are trying to do with the dreamers and that daca recipients. I have seen in many ways we have progress. When i started school i couldnt go to Public School because i am black and now i am a member of congress. We could not go to school when i grew up. I have seen a lot of progress but when we see them try to rollback Voting Rights and cut all of these budgets that give the Environmental Justice initiatives the funding that they need to make our low income and communities of color getting clean air and get rid of the toxins. When i see the rollbacks on these issues that we have overcome then i worry. I know you are home for thanksgiving in the east bay. I appreciate you stopping by. Always an honor. Coming up, is Artificial Intelligence Science Fiction or fact and will it help us . Tom vacar joins us live with what he has discovered on the topic. All this week, tom vacar has been busy. He has been looking into the world of Artificial Intelligence. Recently Stephen Hawking and elon musk both said Artificial Intelligence might turn Science Fiction into reality and end humanity. Tom vacar joins us live from the studio. Are they right . Should we be concerned . We should be concerned a long time from now. We are in the infancy of ai although we started talking about Artificial Intelligence and what is that . Putting the thought process and memories and ability to deal with information in machines by creating computers that can do that. They not only do what they are supposed to but they learn. And then they start making decisions based on the information that is fed to them. In the future if they develop personalities like all people that is possible. We just have to watch out for that but that is very far down the line. This morning there was an article that said the truck for elon musk is essentially going to reduce and take away jobs from people who are disadvantaged from lower socioeconomic status. Black and hispanics people who tend to be truck drivers. Their jobs would be eliminated. There is always the possibility that any job could be eliminated by Artificial Intelligence. The workingclass jobs come first though. That is very possible because they are expensive in terms of the volume. You pay a lot of people who do the jobs. So that is a possibility, but you have to understand in the process the turnover of the fleet would take up to 40 years and the question is are we going to be able to meet the rigors of the highway and all the things that could happen. Can the trucks learn quickly enough to do that . Potentially but this is far down the road. We already have some automated cars driving now though. So those cars will have to make a decision whether to crash or not to crash or say there is a crowd on the sidewalk. These are the very things scientists and even sociologists are thinking about. How do we make the decisions because at the moment, these vehicles are basically very limited in what they can do and how they process information. Even though it is remarkable, the truly autonomous road where cars will talk to each other and to the highway and they can see circumstances, that is several years away. The idea that somehow the current tesla car or truck is the endall beall, it is not even close. Are these concerns in any way parallel to the concerns from decades ago . The supermarket checker being replaced completely by Self Checkout or things like that. A lot of customers like that because they can just push the basket through a portal and you would be paid. We do have to be concerned but before we get overly concerned lets talk about the important things. These things think so quickly and process so much information that they can look at a problem like cancer in ways we never did. They can look at Global Warming in new ways and may be speed up the process of curing that in a way that we cannot think about and then they can share the information. They will then gather information, learn and create. So how much of my personal data do they collect and give to companies . Spoke virtually all of your personal information is in the hands of banks and all that stuff but this is a different way of taking the data and looking at trends and making things better. Should we be concerned, yes but, the reality is that at some point in time. Lets look at one example. You can fly to the moon but you dont you fly to mars and you have robots go and they set up a colony and they can ship stuff back to us. One of these days that could happen and we can sit here worrying about preserving the earth. If we have to leave the earth one day then we go to those places and the habitats will be set up. Now youre talking Science Fiction but we will see. Tom vacar, thank you. Coming up, are you calling out sick when you feel just fine . Coming up, the result of a new study and why you might want to think twice or three times about what we consider a white lie. An annual tradition as we give you a preview of the spca macys window. Thank you, ikea. Oh, john cant come. Your cousins just confirmed. Looks like im meeting the whole family. Oooo, a food blogger . And a wine expert . Yes, and yes. Expertlevel glassware. My uncle geoff just confirmed. The one thats always bringing a plusone . Historically, yes. But weve got plusone insurance. Whats your dream . At ikea, we help you live it. Make the dream yours. cheering Berkeley Police are warning people who walk alone to be on alert after a string of robberies.
