This is after they heard from two witnesses, tourist, that were in the area and described what they saw and heard after kate steinly was shot and killed. This all happened back in july of 2016. The man on trial for her killing is garcia. He admitted he was handling the gun used in the shooting. His attorneys said the gun went off and it was a ricocheted bullet. The gun was stolen from arranger in San Francisco the week before. Yesterday in court steinles mother wept when they showed a photo of her daughter before she was shot. Many through their hotel window saw they saw garcia leave after the gunshot. He was on the peer people watching and laughing. She said his behavior made her uncomfortable.
