You can see people walking through that area, if we can hold up that video, you can see the inside atrium the hotel. The Glass Ceiling completely blown out. On the ground floor, there is an 8foot southern of water where the lobby used to be. After hitting puerto rico, Dominican Republic and haiti, the hurricane is expected to barely on through cuba and the florida keys. People at the into keys urging people to get out now the. Navy already evacuated 5000 people from the u. S. Naval air base at key west. In miami, there are long lines ever people trying to stock up on gas, food, water, other essentials. The track could be adjusted in the next few days w an intense storm like, this you would expect to see a very well defined eye and thats showing up right here with this hurricane. Here is the hurricane, moving to the westnorthwest at about 16 miles per hour. As you know, that is category 5 hurricane. This is the track over the next few days as a category 5 as you can pick out here. Eventually, that will approach the u. S. Out towards florida, potentially over the weekend, possibly as a category 4. But as i mentioned, by the weekend actually by sunday, there is a lot of uncertainty between now and then. The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died. The suspect was not at the scene when officers arrived and investigators have not identified who they might be looking for. More than a dozen red cross volunteers from Northern California are on the way to help with Hurricane Irma. They left yesterday to be in place as the hurricane hits. They are preparing for the possibility of a worstcase scenario. Reporter truck loads of bottled water arrived at the Red Cross Office in santa cruz as volunteers are preparing for a possible disaster more than 3000 miles away. The red cross says that Hurricane Irma is a category 5 storm with a potential to hit florida so they are staging personnel. This is major dannys third deployment in six months. I love helping people. People in disasters, they need help. Thats what i like doing. Thats whale do when i leave this earth. Reporter this married couple in the 70s are part of the team. They met i work with somebody who has a great deal of compassion. When you are out there doing this kind of thing, you realize, thats what you wants next to you. There are a couple of times ive had to find him and and the emotions i had to go to him but normally, i can handle most anything. Reporter in oakland, 12 volunteers packed up six emergency vehicles also headed for white springs, in north florida. But the red cross says its mindful of keeping volunteers in california in case a wildfire here. Weve actually had a hold on deploying volunteers from california and the western states due to the wildfire concerns. However, with the massive response from harvey and now the massive second hurricane, irma, we want to be ready to respond there. Reporter so armed with food and portable shelters, these volunteers drove off to florida not knowing whats ahead. Its anxious because you dont know what youre going to find there. You are dying to get out there and help because you know how to do that. But you still dont know what youre going to see. Its different every time. Reporter she also added, after this deployment, your heart comes out full saying, that because of the disaster, you see the best of humanity. And the Santa Rosa Fire Department tweeted out this photo showing some of their firefighters along with members of tax force 4. The caption says, the unit had been on their way home from deployment with harvey when they were turned around in new mexico and they are now on the way to help with irma. Hurricane victims are dealing with more than just floodwater in south texas. Hurricane harvey has created Serious Health risks because of spillage. And just a few hours ago, the Senate Overwhelmingly passed a package for relief. The republicans cut a deal with democrats to raise money.
