last month he was involved in a home invasion robbery. he broke into the home, the couple wasn't hurt and he got away. investigators say he made a mistake, left his cell phone behind inside the house. police traced it back to matthew muller. they arrested him and he has been in jail since. during a search of his property, investigators found evidence he was involved in the vallejo kidnapping. one of the unusual items they found that is mentioned in the affidavit were goggles that were used to blind fold denise huskins and according to investigators the blind folds still had long blond hair still stuck to them. one of the things the affidavit mentions, it suggests matthew muller had no ties to denise huskins and the target of the kidnapping was the ex-fiance of erin king. a complicated story. new developments. interesting develops. interesting details. back to you. >> allie rasmus in vallejo, very interesting case. and we have more information as well. the complaint filed by the fbi provides more details about matthew muller. he claimed he is a former marine. and that he suffered gulf war illness and has problems with psychosis. he said he attended harvard from 2003 to 2006 and taught from 2006 to 2009. matthew muller said he quasi- admitted to the -- he was admitted to the california bar. there is no information about why he was disbarred. you can go to www.ktvu.com for more information, including video. the father of a missing baby is believed to have been shot and killed today during a carjacking and police chase. he was killed by sheriff's deputies and highway patrol officers at 7:45 a.m. this morning. his daughter disappeared july 2 from her home near redding. now police fear she is dead. on friday night someone found a pacifier on the side of a freeway 10 miles from the family home. matthew ryan graham disappeared the next day and stole a gun from his mother. after hearing the search for his daughter turned oppossible lead -- turned up a possible lead. >> i don't believe the baby is alive. if the baby had been left out in the elements it has been two weeks, the baby would have been without food or water with temperatures in excess of 100 degrees. >> a husband and wife told police they were carjacked from matthew ryan graham this morning. police traced the car through the navigation system and chased it to where the suspect died after shots were fired. the parents of the bay area woman who was killed are scheduled to talk with fox news host bill o'reilly. kathryn steinle was shot and killed july 1. the suspect is francisco sanchez. he is an illegal immigrant with a long criminal history. he started a petition for kate's law, which would mean a 5 year prison sentence for illegal immigrant who are deported and then come back to the united states. a report out today shows that 1800 undocumented immigrants who were arrested and released from jails were later rearrested for other crimes during an 8 month period last year. were among 8,000 who were freed despite the government's request to hold them for deportation. many stopped honoring detainers saying they can't hold people who have been arrested beyond their scheduled release date without probable cause. the report was released by a group that is against illegal immigration. averting a collapse of greece's economy but there are still steps before it becams reality. more now from ktvu's keba arnold. . >> the agreement means more austerity measures and many are unhappy. thousands rallied against the deal. included are members of current government. this might not provide the bail out. $95billion in loans and financial support over three years. it would preserve greece's membership in the eurozone, and provide stability for the economy. but it requires greeks to accept higher taxes, higher retirement age, pension cuts and more sacrifices. >> i think the starting point is that this is a good deal. good deal. the loss, the conditions, and then had private investment -- the prive investment fund. >> reporter: they have till wednesday to approve it. it is not clear what will happen if it doesn't. they rejected measures a week ago. the agreement that was just reached comes days before banks run out of money. >> what is the white house saying about this potential agreement? >> reporter: this is simply how the market works. the question is, what do you think? >> reporter: in the u.s. gas prices have been trending down. they average $2.77 but los angeles prices are $4.05, in just 5 days. because the market is so large california's average price is $3.72, 29 cents higher than 5 days ago. despite low oil prices world wide the industry says crude oil and the chemicals needed are in short supply. but it is nothing more than price manipulatation. -- manipulation. . >> reporter: today bay area regular $3.53. 11 cents higher than thursday. 5 days ago. with southern california refineries looking and willing to pay more our prices are sure the rise. of work but the architect drove it so at 10:00 p.m. they will tweak the lines and heather holmes will have more at 10:00 p.m. a officer was injured this morning in an accident on 680 in the north bound lanes about 9:30 a.m. this morning. the chp says the officer ran into debris in the road. he suffered moderate injuries. the investigation forced the chp to close several flanes an hour. -- lanes for an hour. . he headed out to fill pot holes. he said there is a blitz of pot hole repairs this week to keep streets in repair. he said he wanted to get practical experience so he knew more [ indiscernible ] >> reporter: if the committee likes the recommendations and agrees to it they will take it to the counsel and have the counsel vote on it. a lot of these things are already implemented. >> thank you. two men from santa rosa are expected to be arraigned tomorrow in connection with a shooting of a prostitute at motel 6. both of the men are students at santa rosa junior college. he is the gunman, he is held in lieu of $1 million bail. the man who drove him from the scene is facing charges of being an accessory and held on a half million dollars bail. police say the woman remains in critical suspicion is up to now is -- condition and is up to not not able to give information. . fullson state prison is the first, a judge found conditions were so poor one inmate was dying each week of medical malpractice or neglect. since then california spent $2 billion on new medical facilities and reduced the prison population by 40,000. the special olympic torch, runners are about to arrive in petaluma and ktvu's ken wayne is there. how far away is it? >> reporter: here is the concern. drones like this one which is my own, they can bring the air attack on wildfire to a halt and as you can see, they can shoot hundreds of feet into the air, creating a hazard for fire fighting aircraft. >> reporter: along highway 4, 5 fires broke out. >> possible somebody dragging a chain down the freeway or breaks. >> reporter: he says firefighters knocked down the fires quickly enough that air support was called off. >> reporter: but on big fires there is nothing like help from above. >> invalable to us. they can drop re-- invaluable to us. they can drop retardant. >> reporter: that is why drones flown by people who want to shoot video are problematic. this is video shot by a viewer. on fires where helicopters are in flight a drone could cause serious trouble for the firefighters. >> there is a drone in there, causing a mid-air collision, it could cause damage to the aircraft, or worse it could cause a collision, cause the aircraft to crash. >> reporter: so on big fires the faa will order a flight restriction keeping other aircraft out out of the area. >> so drones, of course, no communication there. means we have to shut down our fire fighting efforts. >> the fire will get bigger. a bigger left it to life -- threat to life and property. not good. >> reporter: i want to point out 4:00 p.m. when we were flying it, it was windy, it was hard to control. that is one of the big problems with these things because there is so much wind on the wildfires. this week they are making a public service announcement to remind the public to keep these things away from wildfires. >> back to you. how hard is it to fly?
