They are clashing at this very moment on the campus of ucla Police Officers gave the protesters hours using there horns their loud speakers saying to disperse and when they did not dispersed, thats when Police Officers moved in. Many of the protesters are pushing back. Locking arms with each other, making it very difficult for Police Officers to make arrests. Now. Were in the middle east and work at the port of oakland was actually canceled in anticipation of these protests. Groups like the arab resource and organizing center claimed victory with a rally at the west oakland bart station yesterday afternoon. They say stopping the work keeps businesses at the port from making millions of dollars. They also say that money supports israel and its genocide in gaza. Our eyes or laser focus and gaza right and were going to continue to show up with our from the universities to the port, to our government, to demand from israel to demand an to United States government and their support for israels ongoing genocide of palestinians in gaza. Groups also rallied outside of Oakland City Hall in support of workers rights and demanding a ceasefire in gaza. We talked to one of the organizers of the event who says they wanted to rally and unite with those that are protesting around the country. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, youth activists are on their 3rd attempt now to try to lower the voting age to 16 so they can participate in local elections.
