Travel returning to normal at San FranciscoInternational Airport this evening. Hours after demonstrators blocked off a part of the international terminal, causing some major delays. Weve been speaking to protesters all day about the demonstration, why they felt it was important to block the airport and what needs to be done to make change happen in gaza. I also know that it takes actions like that believed that inconvenience people because unfortunately, the powers that be do not listen to our moral arguments to are factual arguments to our lived experiences. They only listen when there pockets are affected. And so unfortunately, we have to do that. We have to act in the way that they will while the International Gates were blocked off from the protest airport staff work to make sure people flying out, got to their gates safely. Is ok, but earlier this morning it was chaos here. Caught on camera. This is video of the protest as it was unfolding here at sfo this wednesday from outside to inside the airport, protesters held signs and flags at issue, the conflict between israel and hamas with protesters calling for an immediate ceasefire to end the crisis. This is something weve certainly seen before and really our goal as a public facility is to be able to provide for free speech activity yet ensure the safety and security of not only our passengers, but also our employees and the protesters as well. Sfo spokesperson doug yakel says airport operations stepped in to try and strike a balance between passengers and protesters. And this is something where we do drill that we practice it. We kind of go through the actions that we would take in an incident like the one that we saw today. Yakel says that they received no reports of delays as they instructed passengers to enter the airport away from the protest. The people of right to protest and you notice trumps cause disruption vote. You know, i stood support of up to 22. We spoke to passengers at sfo about the protest and whether they believe the airport handled it appropriately, allowing them the platform before leaving but that think, you know, we need to. We need to know whats going on in the world and think its its a its a good thing that voice our opinions he writes kind of a catch. 22, because it. It kind of snarls. The system. And that that could also turn people off of fighting for it. A ceasefire because its sort of like fries properly here at the airport reporting live here in found theresa back to you guys. Delicate dance to balance everything. Thank you, theresa, for that live report. We need to do something immediately on insurance for their part. Insurance companies have said they have no other choice but to pause or stop selling policies out of concerns.
