We are looking at the Golden Gate Bridge having seen some light showers within the past couple of hours. We are mostly just looking at a cold start today. It is a frost advisory in light blue up in marin, sonoma and napa counties until 09 00am this morning. And when you look at temperatures can kind of see the rosa as well as fairfax down in the 30s right now. Same in Cloverdale Calistoga and saint helene, it to name a few spots later on today. We will see a few north bay sprinkles as well as some light showers up in the Sierra Nevada. But most of us are actually going to be in for a dry rest of the morning into afternoon with just a few light sprinkles this morning and into the afternoon, a few spots of sunshine. And its those passing clouds. Showers will likely return overnight again tonight leading into a few more showers into tuesday and wednesday. Great. All right, john, thank you for that. Its 71 and we want to go first now to the east bay because theres a shooting investigation happening right now in oakland. A shooting happened on saturday. And officers responded the area telegraph avenue near the oakland grab and go market and you can see there the shattered front window. Police say that nobody was hurt, but shots were fired. And right now they are investigating that in the north bay police have arrested a man for setting a fire inside a target store. Take a look. You can hear in and somebody shot this on their cell phone. Easy. The aisle. A blaze there with the paper towels burning on the n. They say that this caused about 4 Million Dollars in damages. It all happened saturday this target had to close so that they can repair all of the damage. We dont have the name of the person arrested just that the layup police are thankful for the community. The community helped in finding that suspect. Lets head to the south bay because a burglar actually broke into the san jose fire station and ransacked firefighters lockers. Were told the burglar rkan saturday night stoll gear, personal belongings and took off with a leaf blower macbook pro and some car keys settles. A police say they eventually found the suspect recovered all the stolen items. Set to the north. Now because the label police are investigating a deadly hit and run there. Investigators say the person was struck near. They have this to buy a vista in sonoma boulevard friday night. 37 yearold victim was crossing the road when an unknown driver hit them and then took off. The drivers name is still being withheld. Organizers of the campaign to recall Alameda CountyDistrict Attorney pamela price say they have enough signatures now and theyre ready to get this on the ballot. Those submitted today in a social media post, the organization plans to deliver the petition with more than 110,000 signatures on it to the Alameda County registrar of voters at 10 oclock this morning. And in response, supporters of price, they have protect the wind campaign. They are demanding the california secretary of States Office individually review each signature. The county has 10 calendar days to count and verify the signatures. If this recall most for this is going to cost taxpayers about 15 to 20 Million Dollars. Well, francisco, the israelhamas war continues as a ceasefire deal has not been reached yet. The protests continue in San Francisco over the weekend. A march that was in support of the Jewish Community. And on saturday theres a propalestine protest and that was calling for a ceasefire in gaza. The war between israel and hamas still heavy on the minds of people all across the bay area weekend. Protests taking over the streets of San Francisco, one for israel and the Jewish Community and the other, a pro palestine demonstration calling for a ceasefire in gaza. Together in this against antisemitism. Organizers say sundays unity march was about standing up against the rise in hate against the Jewish Community. Rachel, bad says antisemitism has been surging since hamas is october attack on israel. And the war thats followed. But the last few people are free to go on the street say that i want to get all of those people the nation saying almost 10,000 people to feel safe say that their tuition route in front of city hall. People chanted pleas for hamas to release but with no deal reached, the war continues. And so do the hundreds marched saturday in San Francisco as a part of a global day of action for palestine. At one point, the protests turned violent Video Shows Police pepper spraying demonstrators. Sfpd tells kron 4 the group became violent and they had to respond to calls about salt vandalism and property damage. People both protests have one thing in common, an end to the fighting in all eyes remain on the middle east as we wait to see if israel and hamas can reach an agreement. Concern is mounting in marin county as Officials Say theres been a fourfold increase and Overdose Deaths related to fentanyl since february 14. The county has experienced 5 suspected overdose test all related to the deadly drug. Officials say theres an increase in contamination to the wastewater by these deadly substances and even emergency calls for nonfatal overdoses. Drug overdoses are the leading cause of death for people under 55 in marin county. There was a mayor london breed says the city is seeing fewer People Living on the streets. Theres a new report by the city shows encampment at numbers. So 37 in the last quarter. The number of cars being lived in dropped 42 theirs as encampment teams help place 1500 people shelters last year and got 3,000 people off the streets. So last week, a lawsuit against San Francisco over homelessness sweeps it was put on hold. Its 707. Today bexar officials held a press conference about how they plan to help the homeless there gathering too, hoping to expedite the process of the interim housing act of 2024. And that is something that helps to build safe, interim housing for the homeless state. Senator dave cortese and san jose mayor matt mahan are both going to be part of this press conference which starts at 9. 30 this morning in san jose. We hope to bring you those details as soon as we get them. Central marin, police broke up a party over the weekend at a home where underage kids were drinking. It happened late saturday night when Police Responded to the report of a party going on at a home in san anselmo. And when they got there, they found there were minors gathering. So the kids they had to break up the party and arrest those care given citations for the kids that were drinking and the person who had the home to because theres an ordinance run social host ordinance that says that adults are responsible for any party in their home where underage people are drinking. They as whether or not their home at the time. All right. Well, i80 still closed this morning, unfortunately, caltrans posted that there is no estimated time of reopening. We look at all so they got while plowing. Are they creating some sort of my gosh, carving a tunnel in a hillside. Theyre working on the streets because of the severe conditions that we had over the weekend. Hope to reopen the freeway sometime today. And here at home would hit the south and saw some snow. Now we are still seeing some snow near the oregon border as well as up in the Sierra Nevada. It is definitely tapered off, though, from this point forward. Were measuring snowfall in just a few inches. No more of that feat stuff. What we see in the bay areas a few sprinkles here. And there today is going to be a predominantly dry day north bay. A few sprinkles later on this afternoon. The rest of us should actually stay dry this afternoon. Overnight, hours tonight into tomorrow, well see the return of some spotty showers here. And there tuesday brings a spotty shower and wednesday will bring the chance of an isolated storm popping up. You can see those storms here as we move into your wednesday afternoon. Now, as i mentioned, the sierra is definitely taking a step back. We still have a few more inches of snowfall possible. But compared to this weekend, its nothing much still under a winter storm warning up there in the sierra as well as up in the north coast ranges here in the bay area. Temperatures of just cooled off a whole lot. Its mid to upper 50s for your daytime highs today. We do have some frost advisories in the north bay this morning. So this is a noticeable warmup from where were sitting currently, san carlos and san jose are 2 warmest spots on the map. Each at 59 degrees for your highs. East bay temperatures mid to upper 50s for you. Hayward and oakland at 57. Well conquered antioch and vallejo. Each also at 57 degrees for your afternoon. Highs. What more than 20 million registered california voters received a ballot in the mail. But as for how many have actually voted, its not a lot. The ballots are out. But according to Political Data inc, a Voter Information Service tracking ballot and voter trends of the 22 million ballots sent to registered voters in the mail. Just 2 and a half million have been returned. That means statewide turnout so far is just 11 . This is low turnout. Paul mitchell as the Vice President of Political Data inc. He says when its all said and done tuesday night based on the data trends he sees. Now turnout was slightly improved, but stay relatively low. His expectations come election night, probably a 3rd of voters returned their ballots. Many fewer than that. Thats probably due to the fact that we just dont have a competitive democratic or republican primary at this point for president. He says trends suggest Younger Voters are staying home.
