And that breaking news comes from San Francisco where were learning 7 people have been injured after a cable car was involved in an accident. Now this incident happened, ed, washington street and Taylor Street officials are telling people to avoid this area because emergency crews are on the scene. We do have video now from the citizens app to show us whats happening there right now. We have learned 6 of the 7 people hurt did go to the hospital. Thats according to fire officials and looks like crews here checking out that car right now. The injuries are being described as minor. The cause of this incident is still being investigated. We do have a crew headed to the scene right now so we can get you some more details as soon as we get a live report at some point during this hour. But these live pictures showing us it looks like some sort of truck possibly theyre blocking, maybe even hit that cable car again, thats at washington in taylor. Were going have more details as soon as we get that live report up and running for you. Our plan is to do that at 2. 30 today. But israel is officially now at war with hamas after that group conducted a surprise attack on saturday, at least 1100 people on both sides have been killed. This does include 9 americans. Thousands of people have been injured. The fighting started on saturday after the initial attack. Its continuing right now. Israel says its military regain control of border communities that were taken by hamas during the attack, but says that Palestinian Palestinian militants continued firing rockets setting off air raid sirens in jerusalem and tel aviv that a horrific situation. Well see now whats happening here in the bay area because it was a violent weekend oakland as police are investigating 4 different shootings. That all happened on saturday night. None of them turned deadly. The first shooting, though, happened just after 7. 30, on mandela parkway near cypress freeway Memorial Park officers found a victim who had been shot. They were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition. The next one happened about 15 minutes later on webster street. Thats a block away from us. Would park officers again found a person with a gunshot wound . They were rushed to the hospital but are expected to survive just a few minutes later, police found 2 people who had been shot in North Oakland on 60th street near golden gate rec center. Both victims there are in stable condition. And finally, just before 11 oclock at night, officers responded to reports of a shooting in downtown oakland on 23rd, but a block away from the moxy hotel. When officers arrived, they found evidence of a shooting but no injuries. Police later l that the victim had already been taken to the hospital. That person is expected to survive. No arrests have been made in any of the shootings. Go back now to San Francisco to talk about that cable car crash. At least 6 people have been hospitalized. Kron fours rob nesbitt. When i first arrived on scene when i got here at the intersection of taylor and washington street, washington street is a street that runs straight down behind me. You can see a crew there actually working on the tracks with the cable car was located, but understand what happened. This cable car was coming down washington street and to avoid a vehicle. The driver of the cable car had to pull the emergency brake. And when that happened, everyone on that cable car lurched forward, somebody from the Fire Department telling me that around a dozen people were evaluated in 6 of those people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The good news is that no one was seriously hurt. In this incident. Theyve since towed away the cable car actually did talk with a couple visiting from texas about the experience they were on the cable car. Happened here . What they had to say. Down the hill. And we could see in the middle of the intersection of there was a black prius. He was just like parts of the middle. No other cars around him. So as were coming down, the driver of the cable car starts to like ring a bell. It makes, i guess, with like their horn to make noise so that the guy would move the car would move and it wasnt moving. So were like literally getting closer. And he pulled, i guess, the emergency brake. I actually thought we hit the car because we all just flew to the front of the, you know, the trolley. And, you know, everybody like really sure he was hanging onto the side. Hurt his hand. I hurt my ankle. My my back. But our and was here from texas got taken to the hospital long with one of our cousins. Now, i understand that all the injuries, as i said minor in this incident a lieutenant with the Fire Department, i talked to told me that its when they pulled the emergency brake on these cable cars, the its actually very extensive. The something rate down to the track to stop. And thats what officials with the sfmta are here now removing from the track. While they do that, it looks Like Washington street will remain closed. Theyve towed away the cable car. So Taylor Street is open to traffic, but theyll be on scene here, at least for the next our so they told me to work on the tracks make repairs and remove the emergency brake justine. A little bit. You know, it really started sprinkling here Sonoma County around noon. Weve had some off and on sprinkles through a since then, but nothing too heavy. Lets go and take a look at some video here. Now theres a line of kind of a line of rain that moves started moving through the north bay. And then after we saw rain and santa rosa remove the pedal luma and then nevado and down written along the peninsula there. So that band of moisture passing through.
