But the bridge is located northwest of the city of sonoma. Youre going to drive the long way around. A large stretch of westbound interstate 80 is back open now for the commute this morning. Caltrans work through the Labor Day Weekend to repave westbound 80. It was that stretch between 7. 80, and allay and highway 4 in hercules, which includes the carquinez westbound traffic on that bridge wasnt happening over the weekend. Firefighters from the east bay are back home after they responded to the dangerous fires that have been burning up near the california oregon border. Well, as courtesy of these fires, the men and women spent 2 weeks battling the smith river complex fire up and down or to county. We have a map here showing where those fires are burning. They burned about 40 or about 84,000 acres so far still growing because its only 19 contained. The Forest Service says that fire started during thunderstorms that were spotted in the area back in mid august. Another case of driver are driverless car now appearing to hold up traffic in San Francisco, viewers sent us this video of that waymo car that you see there stopped in the middle of a crosswalk. This was yesterday at taylor and jefferson streets right near fishermans wharf. The viewer claimed the car was apparently weaving in and out of traffic before this and drove on the wrong side of the road. At one point we reached out to waymo for comment. The think tank in berkeley called the Breakthrough Institute says reducing harmful emissions will have at this point. But whats not necessarily out is the prevailing pattern around it, which is keeping relatively mild, especially considering normally this time of year that High Pressure ridge is in place, keeping it hot and dry. This also allows as weak little cold fronts to skirt right past us. This keeps temperatures relatively moderate. So where is will still be in the 80s inland and will be warm . Its not near as warm as you know. It can be this time of year and air quality, not so bad. Weve got a lot of green little bubbles here on your air quality map indicating good conditions. As for temperatures, that will be nice and cool in the city in San Francisco. Expect the 60s as well as at the coastline. Pretty normal conditions in these spots.
