Meanwhile, hawaiis attorney general is planning to investigate the states Emergency Response system. Hawaii has about 400 emergency sirens across the state. But Officials Say those warning sirens did not go off when the fires first began. Instead, residents had to rely on alerts on their mobile devices and on local tv news and radio stations.
