helped get the package through congress. promise made promise fulfilled but for republicans it's a promise. broken partly the common sense bipartisanship. the president promised senate minority leader mitch mcconnell says democrats passed a partisan bill no republicans in the house or senate supported. it just wasn't a bill to finish off the pandemic. it was a multi-trillion dollar trojan horse. little liberal ideas. >> now president biden will hit the road to print promote the package. >> he set to head to pennsylvania this tuesday and then he will be in atlanta, georgia next friday, kelly. so what is it that he's trying to get out to folks on this tour. we all know there's a $1400 payment. >> coming in. some of those basic facts. but what you're really trying to push out. >> well, i think it is wants to let the american people you know, from hearing from some of their republican representatives here on capitol hill. they all voted as you heard in the story against this package all day of republican lawmakers in the house and the senate saying that the majority of this nearly 2 trillion dollar package didn't go to covid-19 relief. so he's going out to these towns and cities to let the people there know what's inside to let them know that this is money being well spent basically. >> kerry. we know nothing is random. any thoughts on why they're making pennsylvania and georgia. the first stops on the tour. >> you know, here's what i was thinking. is that, you know, pennsylvania was really the state that helped push him over the edge and make it to the white house and then georgia was the state where you had the 2 democratic senators raphael warnock and jon ossoff when their runoff races and come here to the senate which helped give them the votes to get this covid-19 package through. so i think in those 2 places they made promises to get this covid-19 package done and with being put into office into the white house and then with the 2 senators coming capitol hill. they were able to get this package done. so i think it's in a way to showcase that they made this promise of getting not only the the stimulus checks out, but other to help the economy and get people back to work. that they were able to get that through and they'll be touting that message this week at the election cycle continues. 2022 teams like the campaigning never stops no
