>>scattered showers in the forecast at this point. but hey it was intense earlier today we have live team coverage this evening from the mess on the ground too. what came from the sky and the latest on the storm that we want to kick it off with some breaking news on the bay bridge and what a wild night it has been traffic. at an absolute standstill, heading from the east bay into san francisco. crews have just finished clearing a multi-car crash near treasure island. the on-ramp there all westbound lanes have been just minutes ago. but as you can see traffic just really hasn't picked up yet. according to san francisco fire department this crash involved a tractor trailer and several other cars. we have no word on any injuries but here's a look at some of the video from the citizen app this was shared by a lieutenant with the san francisco fire department he was responding to the crash. crews have just cleared the wreck within the last 10 minutes, you're looking live right now a pack up we're going to keep an eye on the situation and bring you any updates. yeah, it was a mess on the roads really all across the bay area today largely because of the weather for theresa is live accidents today because of the road conditions. there was hail and also downpours a time you can see the road here along one on one covered in snow in a big backup of traffic there roads were what a wild day out there. stormy weather though mostly has moved out of the bay area tonight chief meteorologist lawrence karnow here with the latest lawrence yeah, just some lingering showers out there right now, but still some downpours in spots so want to watch out for that, but what a lot of wild 24 hours. it's been all the storms rolling through around the bay area numerous lightning strikes outside to go along with that hail some reports a gusty winds and some pretty impressive downpours we're seeing some of that rain moving in over san francisco right now around the bay area again we're not done with this storm system you see that big swirl on the coastline. >>that's the area of low pressure that's really continue to ramp up and rolled these storms are direction as we head throughout the night and more on the wait list will taper off and early tomorrow morning, but right now we're not done more scattered showers popping up around the bay area, some of those cells pretty impressive ball taking 4 look one this one is near elder they're seeing some pretty heavy downpours right between their am pacific he's he's stretching across into parts of right now on terror beach just to the east and a little further north you've got another line that has just pushed off the bayview district that is a pretty intense cell that is moving through there right now and then a little further to the north you get the whole line here bring some heavier amounts of rain in the point richmond and likely going to see more that continuing as we head through the evening hours before a midnight then things really should begin to settle down the more scattered showers around the bay area that will continue and the snow that continues to fall over mount hamilton should be a beautiful sight to see by tomorrow the clouds begin to clear up just a bit but more widely scattered showers popping up out there still some downpours but as we head through the night tonight things are going to start to taper off and clear out and i think is your skies clear out tonight, we're in for very cold night, especially in parts of the north and the east bay, even the possibility of some temperatures dropping down the 30's even inside the bay, so certainly a cold night ahead looks like we'll wrap up the storm system though headed into tomorrow but we've got some more rain in the
