park. pope valley saint helene and also unincorporated parts of napa county. the estimated shut off time is anywhere on the 7th which would be monday between 10:00pm and 02:00am with power not being turned back on. i assume this means the earliest on the 9th which would be 2 days later at 07:00pm this will impact about 2700 customers that just for napa sonoma county only has about 3 customers are saying impacted in cloverdale we're still working on getting all the information about this a p s p s people who are impacted should be getting an alert at some point tonight that this is coming. >>meanwhile earlier this evening cal iso the state energy monitoring agency declaring a stage 2 emergency. which meant rotating power outages were possible. but once again that flex alert that we we're under ending just 2 minutes ago at 9 o'clock. the agency tweeting this out earlier this evening that a fire caused a generator in solar farm to go offline no rotating power outages reported here in the bay area from pg and e as a result of the stage to emergency. but once again the flex alert at least for the saturday night. now over with at 9 o'clock an excessive heat warning in the bay area as we mentioned expected to last until at least monday. the national weather service now calling the impact of the heat in the state dangerous and life threatening. this is video of folks out and dan. >>good evening, justine yes city officials want people enjoy the outdoors but they want people to be safe and also follow covid-19 guidelines to understand that it's going to be one of those hot holiday weekends. we saw people that were out at the park today but not as many as we typically would see out there maybe he was keeping them away, but there were still a lot of others who are taking around the bay area a live look outside right now conditions with our east bay's on camera the sun to have our east bay hills in the berkeley area. and you can see mostly clear tonight so far but yes, the temperatures only going to continue to rise as we get into the next couple of days so most of the bay area under that excessive heat warning and then we do have a sliver of summer coastal spots underneath the heat advisory so keep that in mind but here's the temperatures that you can expect in line anywhere from 95 to a 115 degrees tomorrow. around the bay, we're looking at mid 80's to mid 90's expecting and then the co 70's to mid 80's and again for tomorrow and for monday as the holiday weekend continues temperatures outside right now we're mostly in the 70's 80's on the board 88 right now in morgan hill 83 in san jose but 90 though i am tracking a 90 degree mark. >>in livermore still at this hour 85 in concord 83 in berkeley right now we're looking at 77 in san francisco. and 86 degrees for the current temperature in tehran. we did break some records today record heat in napa one '02 versus a 100 degrees back in 2008 gilroy you broke a record at one of 6 today and one '05 even along the central coast for king city and more expected to break over the next couple of days and quiet in fact, here's a quick peek at your 4 zone forecast for tomorrow's afternoon highs, 114 degrees expected in livermore a 104 in hayward 93 though if you're going to be in downtown san francisco. how long has he waived going to last all have all those details. coming up a little bit later major wildfires in the state right now and with the excessive heat here all weekend long cal fire has upped its staffing during this critical fire weather. >>crews were told of making more progress on contain those fires burning here in the bay area. the lnu lightning complex in the north bay now currently at 89% containment with more than 375,000 acres burned. the scu complex burning in the east and south bay is now up to 80% containment with more than 396,000 acres blackened and the czu lightning complex fires in san mateo and santa cruz counties or up to 64% containment. more than 86,000 possible covid-19 vaccine that's the message. >>from the fda vaccine advisory committee member doctor paul offit he's the director of the vaccine education center at children's hospital of philadelphia. and he spoke about his concerns tonight. >>the fda is not an independent group they are part of hhs health and human services which is part of the executive branch can they be politicized. yes they've been politicized with hydroxy-chloro-quinn decision they've been plus politicized with the convalescent plasma decision so that's what makes people word. >>offit says it's public can use them though from 04:00pm to 08:00pm lake berryessa in napa county will also be closed. beaches will be open in marine county and half moon bay, but county both but both counties are 4 dot com. now poor air quality continues to plague the bay area's those major fires continue to burn. the bay area air quality management district is extending the spare the air alert through labor day light winds combined with triple digit temperatures also play a factor. air pollution can be extremely difficult for sensitive groups, including the elderly and people with respiratory illnesses. >>all right, let's switch gears now, let's talk weather with meteorologist rebecca strong we've been tracking these triple digit temperatures all day long the big question everybody wants knows. how long are we going to have to sit on a block of ice rival looks like over still going to have to do that over the next couple of days as we ride out this heat wave. >>through your holiday weekend. yes, those triple digits will return tomorrow and even a higher than what we saw today the were expecting and more records expected to be broken tomorrow as well and of course, yes, another spare the air alert in effect and we're thinking that it's probably going to last for the entire holiday weekend. and of course high fire danger, especially as we get into next week because we are going to see those winds start to pick up around the bay area. so for this weekend, yes, the temperatures continue to be hot very dry. we could see upwards of a 115 degrees for some of our inland areas around the bay. we're looking at mid 80's to mid 90's expected and then off the coast 70's to mid 80's continue. we are under an excessive heat warning through much of the bay area and then at the coast we're looking at a heat advisory. so stay indoors if you can i definitely want to watch out for the elderly make sure the a call on your family and make sure that everyone's ok and again that just try to stay hydrated lots of sunscreen if you do have to go outside. but yes, a fire weather watch in effect as we get into monday evening. that's going to last through wednesday morning and we're thinking the winds are really going to pick up at their peaks on tuesday night so just be aware of that this is for the north bay mountains and the east bay hills so all the areas that you see in that yellow behind me and we could see gusts of up to 50 miles per hour. some are highest elevations. humidity also obviously going to be a factor very low as we get to through wednesday. but the temperatures going to be soaring once again tomorrow even hotter than what we saw today. but how long is this going to last all have those answers in my seven-day around the board a forecast coming up a little bit later back to news from banks, the santa cruz county correctional officer now finds herself being arrested for an inappropriate relationship with an inmate. >>the investigation started back in july ended yesterday with the arrest of 31 year-old jessica smith that inmate was serving a sentence through a supervised released as part of their custody alternative program. we're told that smith has yes, a hot and dry conditions as we get through the next couple of weeks or the next couple not not weeks just a couple of days, i'm just making sure you're paying inland temperatures tomorrow, we're going to max out and about a 115 degrees that's possible for tomorrow for our hot as inland spots around the bay mid to upper 90's even possible and then at the coast 70's to mid 80's that we're going to be seeing and again an excessive heat warning for much of the bay area and a heat advisory if you're going to be for summer coastal spots but try to stay indoors if you can in fact we're going to see a this list only continue to grow that's we're expecting tomorrow as the more record breaking expecting. for sunday and for monday one of 2 the temperature today in napa and another record breaking the heat number one of 6 in gilroy one '05 if you are in king city along the central coast. but tomorrow look at this more triple digits on the board than you can see what we saw today one 90's we could be seeing in half moon bay, a high of 84. looking ahead over the next couple of days, yeah, it's only going to continue to rise as we get to 2 monday and then things are going to slowly start to taper off and then by the middle of the week we're going to see things. get into just about the 90's inland 70's 80's around the bay 60's at the coast, but of course we are under a fire marching through the streets of louisville ahead of the kentucky derby today. it's been 6 months since brionna taylor was shot to death by louisville police. when they entered her home on a no knock warrant. a civil rights group calling themselves until freedom leading a peaceful protest in the streets calling for justice for taylor, other groups shutting back the blue including the kentucky patriots, white militia groups and one led by a man who calls himself the angry viking grand master jay is leading a black armed militia group known as the n f a c they also marched in the streets of louisville. peacefully. no charges meanwhile have been filed in taylor's death as the state's investigation continues. jason carroll talked with briana taylor's mom about that weight. >>briana police serving a no knock warrant broke down her door with a battering ram. police say they banged on the door but got no response. her boyfriend says he fired a shot thinking they were intruders and police opened fire. taylor a 26 year-old emergency room technician died within minutes of being shot anger raised her, guilt. >>it feels like bill. as a parent the one job is to protect her baby had and i wasn't there. well. the investigation is not complete one point is tragically clear. >>police forced entry into taylor's home wrongly suspecting she was connected to a drug ring that operation ended with taylor's death and lots of unanswered questions about the officers actions. protesters have continuously called for the 3 officers involved in her shooting to be prosecuted none have been charged, but in june the louisville metro police department did fire one of the officers, detective brett hankinson for showing an extreme indifference to the value of human life after he allegedly fired 10 shots into taylor's home, his attorneys appeal the dismissal and disputed the allegation hankinson blindly fired his weapon in the wake of taylor's death the louisville city council has passed brianna's law which bans no knock warrant and requires officers serving search warrants to wear body cameras a state version of the law introduced last week. taylor's family says they continue to be inspired by words and actions of support as george floyd brianna taylor. >>and a never ending list of innocent people of color continue to be murdered. >>stating the simple fact that of black
