officers association sergeant paul kelly paul thank you so much for joining us. a special start off by talking about what these measures are if you could outline for us. >>yeah i think the started things and they're definitely not going to be all the things that we need to do a cross country. one of the big things that we're talking about is standardizing and national use of force policy as a but middle of the day will come along with a push of cloud cover associated with this week trough that is just going to be skirting right to our north. >>so while the pacific northwest gets a dose of rain in some cooler air we're just going to be here all right at the tail end of the system is going to result in winds picking up briefly a few clouds passing over at times. but overall we're going to be holding on to this warm pattern just right at the edge of the systems you can see some of those clouds that will be settling in at times definitely nothing showing up on satellite and radar those we've got a nice dry and primarily clear monday ahead of us as for tuesday, nice and clear as well temperatures remaining very similar to today so little variation in the forecast in the days to come we had a pleasant day yesterday another pleasant one today and we'll keep that around for another day on into your tuesday where daytime highs going to be today while most of us will be in the 70's such as in hayward fremont oakland vallejo san francisco on up into the north bay a few inland 80's to note though like in san jose livermore right at 80 degrees. concord antioch in napa some of highway 92, yeah, pretty light lots of gaps there between the cars so if you're out and about at this early hour. the chp logs clear it is a smooth ride for you in all directions will keep an eye on it let you know how it builds over the course of the morning or let's go back to the headlines now a new this morning. we have an arrest that's been made after to chp officers in san leandro were shot at in their patrol car. the officers weren't hurt. we have a picture here of the black mercedes van that was used in this drive-by shooting and 2 guns that were found inside. the shooting happened early yesterday morning on the loo welling boulevard off ramp right near interstate 8.80. a short time later officers arrested the driver of the van for shooting at the officers, he's been identified as 18 year-old ethan escobedo from los angeles a 14 year-old boy and a 20 year-old man were also detained. in the east bay hayward police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another wounded. it happened early yesterday morning right near the 2700 block of and an avenue, not far actually from the south hayward bart station officers found 2 men with gunshot wounds, one man died at the scene the other was hospitalized. police have not yet made arrests and they don't have the name yet of the victim who was killed. a big story this morning with a handful of officers with the richmond police department now the center of a new civil rights lawsuit. this comes after a traffic stop arrest turned violent with kron four's dan thorn with the video. >>police body cam video shows 25 year-old is john brown's being arrested by richmond police brown was criticizing officers over a traffic stop of his brother on april 29, you think you're talking to you guys police say brown advanced towards officers while threatening them forcing officers to act or what. the lawsuit claims body cam video shows grounds back was turned and he was walking away before being taken down brown's brother then seen shoving the officers. is then chased. and then hit with a taser people on the video are seen outraged by what they're witnessing the people in the neighborhood are going crazy say what are you doing. >>how come you're escalating. it was like a military operation, not a police operation keep talking we'll come there with you or does that tanja world with says police believe the brothers and violated their civil rights he says there was no need for police to initiate another man who witnessed that hazing jonathan spray gun was also arrested during the incident horowitz says all 3 were arrested under false pretenses these officers escalated. >>and basically said don't you dare speak out against us and then when the people said we will there. we're proud we're not cowed. the officers violence like arrested them. >>the criminal complaint shows the 3 men were arrested for felony resisting of an executive order but the civil complaint says the officers are trying to hide police violence or with says he hopes the lawsuit will force the city to make changes we're having people die and those lawsuits stand by themselves. >>but we're fighting for the injured in the ambush in santa cruz is on his way to a full recovery. deputy alex spencer was greeted with a hero's welcome as he walked out of the hospital yesterday take a look. spencer was shot hit with shrapnel and hit with the suspect car during that attack and then lawman the ambush took the life of sheriff's sergeant damon gutzwiller the accused attacker stephen has been arrested he now faces numerous charges, including murder and attempt murder of law enforcement. now to some developing news out of san bernardino investigations under way now after police fatally shot a man that they say had a gun. we have still images from surveillance video this happened saturday night after police responded to a report of a man waving a handgun at a gas station. police told the man to drop the gun before they opened fire fatally shooting. no bystanders or officers were hurt the identity of the man has not yet been made public. 25 people including 8 children are displaced now after a building fire in san francisco yesterday happened in the afternoon burning through a multi-family residential building on lasalle avenue in the india basin district. crews showed up they found flames on the top floor, it knocked down the fire in about 10 minutes and luckily, nobody was hurt the cause of the fires under investigation. we'll take a break it's now 4.22, but still ahead here on the
