arriving at queen the valley medical center kron four's michelle kingston joins us live tonight in the newsroom with more michelle are there more patients. >>there is a second patient at queen of the valley medical center but they tested negative for the virus in japan but are experiencing symptoms. both of them arrived at the hospital on monday. >>one person is under isolation at queen of the valley medical center in napa after testing positive for coronavirus in japan. napa county officials tell us that even though this person tested positive. they're not experiencing symptoms a second person is also at the hospital they tested negative in japan but claimed to have symptoms of the virus and are being monitored both patients are not residents of napa county they both arrived at the hospital on monday after flying to travis air force base from japan where they were under quarantine on the diamond princess cruise ship county officials say there is minimal risk for napa county residents. both patients are being monitored and special isolation rooms that have negative pressure to minimize the risk of exposure we're told hospital workers are prepared and working closely with the centers for disease control and prevention in total 7 of the evacuated cruise ship passengers who flew into travis air force base were identified as needing testing or hospitalization in addition to that to a queen of the valley medical center 5 of them were sent to local hospitals since the law no county. now hundreds of passengers began leaving the diamond princess in japan where it is now wednesday. >>japanese officials will spend several days staging the high stakes evacuation of about 2500 people who have been kept aboard the ship has since become the site of the most infections outside of china where the novel virus originated from the cdc issued a new travel restrictions for everyone on board the cruise ship once passengers and crew members get off the boat have to wait 14 tonight, another hiker is now missing in marine county search and rescue teams were deployed today to search for 76 year-old robert bennett he is pictured on the far right there on your screen rant county sheriff's office says that he was last seen on monday about one 30 in the afternoon walking towards the valley stone trailhead at big rock ridge. bennett went missing just 4 days after the couple from palo alto was reported missing and the sheriff's office is still searching for them. carol cupar ski and in erwin who were last seen on valentine's day at their rental in inverness kron four's taylor the psac ii spoke to the search and rescue manager. >>with the marin county sheriff's office tonight. she joins us live now with the latest on those search efforts. taylor's. >>deputies say their resources are being stretched thin with 2 large searches in one county that spring county of course and they don't believe that either of these cases are incidents are related but they do with foul play. east bay, a person and the dog are safe tonight. after flames engulfed their home in fremont. freeman firefighters responded to the house fire on food story a center around 5 this afternoon you can see these pictures there. the person and the dog were able to exit the burning house safely. firefighters were able to extinguish the fire within 30 minutes. firefighters will remain on the scene to watch the house overnight. this fire is under investigation. >>and in napa pilots have long complained about people who use lasers on the ground then point the muppet planes is clearly a safety problem for anybody on the aircraft and potentially for those on the ground ball. last night we had another one of those laser strikes here in the bay area and authorities actually found the who tried to kidnap a woman late last night happened around 10 30 at a home on month to land a court. police say the 53 year-old woman who lives there heard someone repeatedly ringing her doorbell when she opened the door a man she didn't know burst into her home grabbed her by the neck told her he needed to get out of the area, the woman fought off the man when she tried when he tried to force her into the car. the woman ran to a neighbor's home and called for help. the man ran away from the scene but officers found him a few hours later in the same area. police say was throwing rocks and update. >>on the uplifting story of one former heroin addict who has turned his life around. she caught up with him as he begins helping the city of san francisco tackle the drug epidemic. >>the clean cut man you see walking purposefully into san francisco city hall in this video is the same and staring blankly out of this mug shot taken just over a year and a half ago. yeah, i was a homeless heroin addict here in the live on the streets for 6 months the married father of 2 says an injury for which she was prescribed oxycodone sent him down the rough road of addiction. he ended up losing his family and his job and turned to a life centered around the corner of golden gate and hide were hard drugs are easily bought and sold i can easily access drugs 24 7 everything from fentanyl to crystal meth or crack cocaine. in june of 2018 the tenderloin police station tweeted out most mug shot after he was arrested for drug possession and then rearrested 5 times. >>later wolf re tweeted that mug shot showing him at his lowest after he was out of rehab and 8 months clean and sober thanking the salvation army for helping guide his and thanking the officer who arrested him the most for getting him out of the tenderloin and helping save his life. wolf is now again a regular in the tenderloin but now as a caseworker with the salvation army helping homeless veterans get into transitional housing. he's also working at making amends with his wife and children in january he began putting his life experiences to work as a member of san francisco's newly formed street level drug dealing task force to defend all different the hair and eyes. know i've done it. >>it's 10 times stronger it i've seen 3 people die in front of me after they've been arc and we need to we need to get that fend off the street and if that requires law enforcement and so be it. >>he hopes together they can help the city get a handle on the drug crisis that has the tenderloin and south of market neighborhood in its grips and destroying so many lives so i'm going to come in here and i'm gonna speak the truth of what my experience was living on the streets of the tenderloin. >>if we can come up with some some ideas and come up with a plan to try to slow down the flow of drugs coming into the city and being sold on our streets and maybe we can make you know help help work with other partnering agencies and whatnot make a difference. >>the task force also has representatives from the police department the district attorney's office harm reduction and homeless advocates as well as residents and business owners from the tenderloin south and mid market areas and civic this wolf and the other 8 members of the street level drug dealing task force are expected to submit reports to
