a lawrence karnow tells us everything always looks better on friday night there you go a beautiful shot said you guys are i say absolutely fantastic and radiant tonight yesterday, i'm not so are looking good going into the weekend and it looks like it's going to be a good weekend to we do have a lot of clouds out there look at this live shot. this isn't the one who got the high clouds up above and then look at that dense fog down below kind of splashing up across the mountains you get that lift their bunny look as we look back over the bay towards san francisco berkeley the at we've got a lot of clouds out in our skies now and you can see the system kind of week the first branch of the coming on shore enough to bring a lot of rain in the far northern california kind of clip in the bay area the man a few light sprinkles or light showers but really not a whole lot of activity out there right now so here's where we are looking at over the last 5 hours you can see a couple of raindrops kind of rotating on through but they were really just hit miss showers comes through this afternoon and then really taper off as we head into the evening, but. >>that's where we sit right now we've got a fairly dry conditions, although mostly cloudy skies. i think things as we head through the weekend as the clouds kind of picking up as we head toward tomorrow afternoon. so tonight, mostly cloudy skies a few scattered light showers tomorrow, increasing clouds with a chance of showers especially in the afternoon and then rain going to be heavy at times overnight on saturday night into early sunday morning. but i think really to sleep in on sunday, you gonna miss most of the storm just a few showers in the morning. we start clearing out your skies by about the middle of morning by a sunday afternoon. i think we're lookin a mostly sunny temperatures outside right now we've got 54 degrees in fremont 55 in dublin 56 degrees in san francisco, 55 in boyle you get the idea the effect of the clouds sitting over head out the like a blanket really keep these temperatures from a cooling off. here's your storm system off the coastline. you see the core low right out here around because it's so far away from the main cold from really not going to be enough energy to drive a whole lot of rain from the system certainly we could see maybe about a quarter of an inch maybe some the weather parts of the north bay but it's a role in a looks like by tomorrow night and that will be the brunt of that storm. but certainly some showers real possibility by tomorrow afternoon right time now for you can see is it's coming through tonight, the clouds continue to be thick into early tomorrow morning you're going to see some patchy dense fog too and then as we head toward the afternoon. that's when the next branch of moisture begins to move in you see the raindrops be the pick up at least north of the golden gate bridge rest the bay area staying dry in fact, san jose you're probably not worried about any rain at all until late on saturday night early on sunday morning. so that's how it's going to work out and then here comes a main cold front that will be dropping in there you go right about 3 o'clock in the morning, almost line right across the entire bay area then sliding to the south as we head through the night and then a really looks like a lot of partisan day doesn't look too bad so if you've got some plans this weekend it's not going to be a washout certainly a chance of showers both saturday afternoon and then again on sunday morning and the dry really toward the middle a day in the afternoon so should be a nice weekend ahead could i thank you launched more from you later. >>9 days away from super bowl 50 for the san francisco, 49 ers will
