the items that were stolen were from auto burglaries throughout san mateo county. now that the staff ring has been broken up the next step is to return these items to their rightful owners. the major fencing operation busted as police in san mateo county recover more than $2 million in stolen property, the whole ranging from laptops phones and cameras to designer bags and jewelry through this operation that they had it was very in depth and the majority of the stuff we're seen is being sold on the black market froze very blank suite with the san mateo county sheriff's office says this investigation was called operation shattered glass, the name coming from the belief that most of the stolen items were from smash-and-grab burglaries in cities along the peninsula, the multi-agency was caught on surveillance video this happened back in july of last year in the area stockton and pacific streets in chinatown 3 min assaulted 2 men in their late 50's and 60's. they stole a watch from one of them police say they arrested 20 year-old a smith of sacramento this week. 19 year-old to sean pierson was arrested in october, the 3rd suspect is still at large. the 21 year-old san
