There are about three thousand bart riders who hop on a train from four to five in the morning and those passengers will be most impacted as starting monday they will have to take a bus to get to work. There will be an early bird bus schedule running from 12 different stations throughout the bay area and bring people to the Transbay Transit Center in San Francisco. Crews will be working overnight and trains will start back up one hour later than normal at five in the morning. This project will last nearly three years to install steel lining in the transbay tube to prevent water from leaking in during a major seismic earthquake. It happened monday morning outside the chase bank on shattuck avenue. The Woman Told Police that the robber mentioned she had a gun and demanded the money. The thief got away with the cash. darya a teacher convicted of committing sexual acts on two 15yearold boys will remain in prison. A state Appeals Court upheld the conviction and five year sentence for 36yearold danielle matko. She was an english teacher at aspire East Palo Alto phoenix academy. She committed the crime against her students back in the fall of 2015. Matko claimed there were mistakes in the evidence allowed at trial. But the Court Unanimously upheld the conviction. james new this morning. A man is in Critical Condition after being shot in oakland. It happened around 10 00 last night near the intersection of 54th avenue and holland street. The accident happened in San Francisco early sunday morning. Waheed was driving for uber and had a passenger in his car when the wrong way driver hit them. Waheed and the other driver died. Sot two policeman came and they were like we have bad news for you they took my mom my sister and me upstairs and said i have bad news your dad passed away years ago waheed worked as a translator for the u. Civil rights Attorney John Burris will announce a lawsuit against four Oakland Police officers involved in a Fatal Police Shooting last year. This is body cam footage of when officers fatally shot 32 yearold Joshua Pawlik last march. Police say he had a semiautomatic gun and refused their commands to comply. But pawliks family says he was unconsious and laying on the ground between two homes in oakland when police surrounded him. The video shows officers opening fire when pawlik appears to sit up. In the lawsuit, the family is accusing those officers of committing murder. James Hayward Police Say Tire thieves are targeting cars parked behind security gates, on properties with security cameras. In the latest incident, police say the thieves went after vehicles parked in the metro 655 apartment complex on tennyson road. A resident there says she found her 2018 honda without tires. She says the theft happened from the time she got home at night and when she left the next morning. These stolen wheels follow thefts last week from cars parked in another hayward apartment complex. Drew mickaels at tommys auto body says it was easy for the thieves to steal the tires, even with wheel locks on, because they probably have a tire lock removing they also have private security patrolling the property. darya investigators are hoping Surveillance Video can help identify the man who attacked and dragged a woman in downtown los angeles. Law enforcement groups tuesday rolled out a proposed update to the states laws surrounding officer use of force. The proposal first revises californias use of force law, making it justifiable only when an officer confronts a fleeing felon to avoid death or serious injury or when the suspect has committed a forcible, atrocious felony. It would also include guidelines with deescalation tactics and alternatives to deadly force. The bill also makes a budget request for 300 Million Dollars over three years to go toward Law Enforcement programs including homeless outreach, Mental Health Response Teams and drug abuse assistance. Brian marvel is the president of the Peace Officers Research Association of california and a San Diego Police officer. brian marvel president porac we really looked at how do we address the root cause of these incidents that were responding to and how do we decrease the chances of use of force, thats really our approach, really trying to take a hollistic approach as opposed to just focusing on the statute.
