It sheds light on a deadly officer involved shooting from last november. grant that shooting ended with the death of 29 yearold agustin gonsalez. It shows gonsalezs last moments. philippe Karla Gonsalez moth er augustine was my only son he was my baby. And, Karla Gonsalez says she cant bare to watch the surviellance and body camera video released friday by the Hayward Police department. Documenting the moment her son agustine gonsalez was shot 13 times by two Hayward Police officers and later died. Nats hold on, hold on. Hes threatening. Chief mark koller hayward pd our 911 center received a phone call from an individual indicating that a man was threatening him with a knife. Hayward police chief says mark koller says his departments investgation into the november 15th shooting on oneill avenue revealed what was thought to be a knife, was actually a razor blade. A blade gonsalezs family says he carried with him often a tool he used for work as an employee at tesla. Chief mark koller hayward pd a razor blade, yes, can be considered a deadly weapon. Chief koller says he is releasing the video now in an effort to be transparent. Chief mark koller hayward pd the determination as to whether this was a, the shooting was lawful, or whether the shooting was in policy. Those, the facts of why this happened are all under investigation right now, and theres many questions that remain unanswered. Surveillance video shows gonsalez and the man who eventually called 911 arguing, then fighting in the street. Chief koller says from the time officers arrived to when shots were fired was about ten seconds. The shooting itself lasting three seconds. He says his officers opened fire because gonsalez didnt follow their demands and walked towards them with the razor blade. The gonsalez family intends to file a civil lawsuit against the officers involved and the city of hayward. Claiming unreasonable use of force. John burris attorney these officers had tasers. They had tasers, which are designed to immobilize a person without using deadly force, and they had the tasers on them. No effort was made to use those tasers. Patrick scott junior was waiting at an oakland bus stop to go to his grandmothers house. Thats when a gunman approached him and shot him several times. The 27 year olds mother described him as a gentle giant who stayed out of trouble. Scott junior was killed one year ago sunday. ken a large military transport plane landed with its nose gear up at Travis Air Force base last night. The c5m super galaxy aircraft was returning from a Contingency Mission with 11 crew members on board. No injuries were reported. Emergency responders assisted and secured the area.
