( james ) that richmond police officer is recovering this morning after being hit by a car while trying to stop one of those sideshows. and police are still looking for the driver who hit the officer. it happened early yesterday morning near marina bay parkway and reggatta boulevard. police say the driver then accelerated to hit the officer. the officer suffered broken bones and cuts to his head...but is expected to recover. this is being investigated as a hit-and run. police have not released a description of the driver or the car. ( james ) and this is c- h-p helicopter video from the sideshow oakland... there were about 200 cars near 54th avenue and international boulevard. there were fireworks being shot into the air and several reports of gunfire. police say people began using a green laser to point it at the helicopter. they were able to arrest one of the people with the laser- pointer. if convicted... he faces a fine of 11-thousand dollars per laser strike. ( james ) a warning for people in the north bay ... after mulitple car burglaries in petaluma. seven cars were broken into at seven different parking lots across petaluma on friday night. police say it happened between 4:30 p-m and 9:30 p-m. most cars were targeted near businesses on mcdowell blvd. police advice to not leave out anything in a car that would attract attention. they say in five out of seven cases ... things like electronics and purses are left in plain view. ( james ) new this morning... a man is seriously injured after police say he was attacked with a deadly weapon. it happened last night on terrace view avenue in pittsburg... when police arrived they found the man unconscious in the road. officals say he suffered a significant injury from a deadly weapon...but did not specify what was used in the assault. the victim was taken to a hospital and is in serious but stable condition. ( james ) a warning for people in the north bay ... after mulitple car burglaries in petaluma. seven cars were broken into at seven different parking lots across petaluma on friday night. police say it happened between 4:30 p-m and 9:30 p-m. most cars were targeted near businesses on mcdowell blvd. police advice to not leave out anything in a car that would attract attention. they say in five out of seven cases ... things like electronics and purses are left in plain view. ( darya ) police are searching for the man they say robbed a bank in pleasanton. it happened saturday morning at the chase bank in the stoneridge shopping center. police say the man walked into the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. this is a picture of the man... taken from surveillance video. he left the shopping center in a silver toyota camry. police do not have a detailed description of the robber. you guys because i think about it everytime i go on the train, and i told several people about it and they say they always check now.>( darya ) it's an image one bart rider cannot get out of her head... after she found these needles stuffed next to her seat on a bart train. kron four's haaziq madyun talked to the rider....and got a response from bart.. it's a story you'll only see on kron4. so this happened to morgan kordic on a recent bart ride... ...and this is a photo of what was there... kind of gross...she says the incident happened recently in the morning on a train at the pleasant hill bart station...not once...but twice sotin fact bart spokesperson chris filippi says drug use on bart is a major problem and advises the following should passengers come across somrthing like thissotkordic says the possibilty of being pricked by a dirty needle will be on her mind every time she takes bart and that is unnervingthat is why she getting the word outthat sounds like a good idea...in pleasant hill haaziq madyun kron4news ( darya ) in marin county... two people were arrested over the weekend for driving under the influence. the arrests are part of the "enough is enough" campaign. a zero tolerance approach to drinking and driving. the first arrest happened on highway 101 in mill valley. the c-h-p says the man was driving about 80 miles per hour with a four-year-old in the car. he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and child endangerment. after that... officers pulled a car over for swerving across lanes in novato.
