Rain will then push into the monterey bay region after sunrise thursday morning with lingering showers into thursday evening. Dry weather returns for friday and saturday before another system potentially arrives late sunday into monday. steve in santa rosa a damaged drain pipe gave way to a sinkhole. Its in the fountaingrove neighborhood where fires melted underground pipes. vicki but vigiliant crews were well prepared to fix the problem. They had been bracing for the possibility of sinkholes after discovering the damage. Now Officials Say theyve found about 10 new sites where pipes may have been destroyed. The two officers were not injured. Investigators say a long gun was found at the scene.
