(ááádaryaááá)and gary as they are trying to get back to some semblance of normalcy up in the north bay. so are we a little bit. sports as you and i talk about. nobody cares about sports as breaking news like this is happening.a few important things did happen over the weekend so we want to get to those.(ááágaryááá) alright go ahead darya. (ááádaryaááá)when it comes to local football, the niners and the raiders are still losing. but with the 49ers i noticed that they traded in, mid game there in the 2nd quarter, hoyer for beathard. and i don't know, at least they are not being blown out now. they are losing by less. (ááágaryááá)i don't know what they have done. they set an all time record. 5 straight game where they lost by three points or less.that's never happened in pro football. (ááádaryaááá)it shows that they're losing better. it shows that they're showing more potential?(ááágaryááá) yeah well, just like i said if you want to look at the bright side. the only other time the 49ers started 0-6 are when bill walsh was the general manager, and that was when, excuse me the coach, when he took over ... and i believe that was in 1978, and then a couple of seasons later they won the superbowl. so there is a precedent for this. we'll see if this new quarterback, at the very least put some life in the team yesterday. (ááádaryaááá)now the big news nfl wide was with aaron rodgers. we always watch him because he's from cal. he went down with a collar bone break. we've seen this before , actually, back in 2013 when he broke the left collar bone, and then he came back and ended up losing to the niners in the wildcard game. but he goes down, by all accounts, the packers cant do anything without him. they need somebody. tony romo, colin kaepernick always come up and that's what i want to talk with you right now.kaepernick saying, he want to file this grievance. because teams and packer are not probably going to look at him either. and now he's going to try to prove collusion with oj simpsons old attorney mark geragos. (ááágaryááá)yeah. well this is good timing. at least to get people to pay attention to him. because you got a situation in green bay that's screaming out for a new quarterback. we havent heard anything if the packers are interested. hey , i don't know all the legalese, i just know its going to be pretty tough to prove, that every team sat down together and said dont touch him.(ááádaryaááá)that's exactly right. that's what he has to prove. not every team . but at least two teams, the good old boys talk to each other. or that the league talked to at least one team. and that they colluded. and its really difficult to prove. in fact, what's interesting. so im looking back over the history at how they prove this kind of thing. in baseball they have had more success. but one big collusion allegation came from barry bonds. so in 2015 he said, you remember, that ill play for anybody, anybody for the minimum. and he tried to prove collusion and lost.(ááágaryááá) yeah and the comeback was then, if i remember right, was that, we'll we cant touch barry because my gosh he had that steroid issue hanging over his head. he's up in age. he's in 40's now. he's got a reputation, not the easiest guy to get along with in a brand new club house. you know there's excuses you can find for everything. but kaepernick, my gosh, just last year, was a 49er. he was voted the most inspirational player on the team. he won the len eshmont award.(ááádaryaááá)i want to end with a little inspiration because we could all use it.steph curry opened up with refurbished bushmont community center in oakland for the kids. inside and outside they got new basketball courts. you know, chase and underarmour helped to fund it, you know. and im saying that we all need some inspiration because curry is always fantastic about that. he's so inspiring. he looks to bible verses and everything. so they have some of his insprirational quotes all around and one of them says "i can do all things". he loves that one. that one is up there for the kids. for all us right now. when the news and everything seems to just be horrible ... we could all use that.(ááágaryááá)yeah, there you go. like i said. curry always doing the right thing. and that was quite something yesterday. so he starts the season tomorrow night. (ááádaryaááá)they do. so we're going to continue focusing on the fire and aftermath, and what's going on this morning. i did want to just, we're going to do a little sports here each day. just to bring a little light in too.alright gary.(ááágaryááá)you do your stuff there darya.(ááádaryaááá) we'll be right back. 811 is a free service to keep our community safe. before you do any project big or small, pg&e will come out and mark your gas and electric lines so you don't hit them when you dig. call 811 before you dig, and make sure that you and your neighbors are safe. 811 is available to any business our or homeownerfe. to make sure that you identify where your utilities are if you are gonna do any kind of excavation no matter how small or large before you dig, call 811. keep yourself safe. ( robin ) no major hot spots. bay bridge wb 80 is less then 30 min from the maze to sf. wb sluggish from 880 to 101. richmond bridge drive less than 20 min from the toll to 101. ( darya ) hundreds of firefighters are currently on 24-hour shifts battling the north bay fires. the crews meet up in open spaces to debrief and as they finish their shifts they hand-off the work to the next group of firefighters. the crews have been able to get more rest in the last couple of days, but nonetheless, they tell us that they are tired. for many, this is the worst fire they have battled in their career. according to cal fire... there are portions of the fire that are high up in the mountains making it harder for them to fight the fires.
