The shooter was perched in a 32nd story hotel room that he checked in to a few days prior, this obviously took a lot of thought. He brought a lot of weapons, he checked in under a different name, then he got into the room and carried all of his bags up to the hotel room where he shot out the window or broke the window and started to fire down on to these unsuspecting people gathered to watch the concert in las vegas, the shooter was
Stephen Paddock, he is retired, an avid hunter, his brother said he had no idea that his brother was capable of doing this. He lived in a
Retirement Community near the
Las Vegas Strip. Last night he fired his weapons across las vegas boulevard into this area of concert goers, 22,000 people were packed in for the final evening of the
Country Music festival. Investigators are saying it was a lone wolf attack but shortly after we went on the air, within the last hour, isis claimed responsibility but they did not provide any details or proof that they were connected with this but if you have been watching the news, eight months ago, we had a story where isis came out with detailed maps and places that they would want to hit and las vegas was one of them. Isis put out a video calling for a lone wolf shooter. The motive is the biggest question here,
Everyone Wants to know why this happened, why the man, the shooter,
Stephen Paddock went on this pre planned shooting rampage. The concert goers were there for a
Country Music festival. The shooter fired from the 32nd floor from the mandalay bay hotel, firing down on the crowd. One account said that there were people running away from the concert and wound up on the runway for the airport. They were looking to go any place, they were trying to get into other hotels but all of the hotels went into lock down, nobody knew where the shots were coming from, it took so long, they had to go hotel by hotel and floor by floor, then they figured out it was the mandalay bay, they saw flashes coming from the window, they went room by room and they eventually went up to that floor, by the time they busted the door open, the man had killed himself. We are wait to hear from
President Donald Trump. He is coming out with comments as to what happened in las vegas with the shooting taking place just after 10 00 with jason aldean performing, rapid gun fire from an automatic weapon. The fire rained down on the concert goers who were inside of the confines of this outdoor arena. The shooter opened fire on the top left, here, thats where the shots were coming from. They were shooting into the crowd. Usually in the past, the shooter has been on the ground in the event, like in the pulse nightclub, they go into the event. So we think about, catching him more quickly but also the security. In this case, the event was secured but the buildings around it were not. We see how shootings over the years change the way we operate. We do things differently at hotels and airports and mass events. The question is, will we do things differently when it comes to events surrounded by tall buildings, we have never seen this. Even in new york city, in times square, everyone is allowed to be in their apartments and offices, if someone wants to do
Something Like this, unfortunately, no matter how much security, its nearly impossible to stop a terror attack like this from happening. The president is coming out in a few moments. Its not an active shooterring scene right now, the shooter is dead but the police are conducts raids on the shooters home in mesquite. They are trying to find out any motive. They are talking to the hotel to find out his actions while he was staying there, they are trying to piece together everything they can about the shooter. We have been getting witness accounts all morning long, we are going to string some of those together so you can listen to the sounds of the people who were there and their accounts of what they saw. We are trying to put into words what we just experienced we cannot come up with it. Its like watching a war movie that you feel like you are in. You wrote something fictional but it really happened. We stepped over the bodies and saw the people and saw the heart wrenches sadness from relatives grabbing their loved one, there was chaos and disbelief and distress. Disbelieve is the only word i can come up with. I heard a pop, it sounded like a fire work. Then we heard a couple more pops at difference places in the stadium. Then is seemed like automatic gun fire, thats what we heard. We got down and took cover and tried to get out as best as we could. When the band started to get off the stage, we knew that the shots were coming in. We are hearing shots maybe at the stage but they got off the stage fast. I have not idea of time, it just never stopped just another round of bulls and another round of bullets, we just tried to help as many people as we could, the bulls finally stopped and we tried to help as many people as we could. Not until i got out to the audience area did i realize the extent of the casualties, bodies were laying in the grass, some we could help, others we could not. I do not think that anybody expected or could have fathomed this kind of experience at a
Country Music festival. If there is a silver lining, its the humanity, its how people were finding ways to help people. There was no chaos in leaving the event. The only people we saw that were injured were directly hit by bullets. These were not, definitely not trampling injuries, these were people running around going, we need another paramedic. It took a while for paramedics to get there. I am not blaming the
First Responders, its just that you wanted them there as quick as possible and it was like, we have way too many injuries that we can treat, there were not supplies or towels or bandages or doctors that we could find. Everyone who had any kind of experience was chipping in to help. People thought it was over, they are ducked down, the gun fire rings out, then they do not hear anything and they start their phones and then more gun fire, it kept going for 10 or 20 minutes. It sounded like a helicopter. The bullets were come coming in rapid fire. The firing started and stopped and then started again, he was changing the magazines on his rifles, people did not know where the shooting wa coming from. It was dark, police finally figured out it was coming from the mandalay bay. This is like what you have in a war time situation where an army is coming. They are running and they are running for cover, these people are not trained. They are not military or
Police Officers, there is only a certain amount of police that would be at this kind of event, these are people fending for themselves. I saw something horrible, an account of a survivor saying people kept dropping and dropping, one would drop a foot away from us, helping would have meant that we get shot. People were making decisions on what to do, one lady was fortunate enough to get to her car and people were hiding under her car to be safe. We are continuing to hear the news stories and we are continuing to wait for the president , he was supposed to speak at 7 30 but thats changing, we have our live shot and we will go live to that when it happens. Nowp now i will give you an update on the traffic and weather. Fire danger is elevated. We have a red flag warn for the east bay hills and tomorrow for the north bay hills, we are watching that carefully, we have nice conditions at the golden gate bridge, sunshine and blue skies, its a decent start to the day. The day planner shows that during the 8 00 hour when the kids head off to school, we we are in the mid 50s, throughout the day, you will want your jacket handy. Noontime temperatures in the lower 70s, then as we head to 3 00 and hit the peak heat of the day, its not that hoot, mid to upper 70s for most of the bay, the hottest spots only get to 80 degrees, its a mild day, thats on tap for today. No major hot spots right now but plenty of slow traffic, that includes 80 into
San Francisco leading up to the bay bridge toll plaza. The heavy traffic that you see is stretching into the maze, 19 minutes for your average drive in, checking on the san mateo bridge, we had a crash that cleared but it looks like traffic has not recovered. 48 mens to go across the bridge and out to highway 101, leave as early as you can. Concord, south 6082 willow pass, an accident blocking two lanes, its at a crawl to highway four, you are at 43 minutes from highway four to danville. We have a picture of the gunman, he is identified as
Stephen Paddock, 64 years old. He was found in his room with 10 rifles, he killed himself on the third second floor of the mandalay bay hotel. He retired several years ago, he was living in mesquite, nevada, in an upscale neighborhood, they said his home was like a 400,000 property that he shared with this woman. They were looking for her, they have located her she was out of the country, they spoke to her. What ever she said, now shes not a person of interest. Did isis have something to do with this . Theycame out and claimed responsibility. Las vegas was an area that maybe they wanted to hit but we do not know for sure if he would have been inspired by isis, he was a lone wolf. It was a solo attack, he would have could have been a solo attacker. But it was not spur of the moment. He checked into the hotel three days ago, police are going through his home trying to find the motive as to why someone would do
Something Like this. We have a new interview coming in from someone who was at the concert. Everyone was scared. It was raining down bullets. I do not know if he was unloading a full magazine or what but each time that happened, the crowd ducked down, my sister threw herself on top of me and she told me how much she loved me, she was doing something so noble to make sure i was okay. Some people were using their bodies as a shield. Others tried to get low. It was an improvised situation, there were wheel barrels set up, people used them to move the wounded people, they used, in wawn case, a luggage rack that the bell man carries with the copper top on it, they were wheeling a woman in that, trying to get her help. People were taking other people to the hospital because there is no way to have enough ambulances to transport the people that needed it. Over 400 people are injured, many of them are in the las vegas hospitals, some of them are not going to make it, they say that the death toll is expected to rise. So many concert venues across the
United States and so many concerts taking place on a daily basis across the country. The
Mesquite Police
Department Just wrapped up a
News Conference, they are in the town of mesquite where he lived. I will show you a picture of
Stephen Paddock, 64 years old,
Police Believe he was a lone gunman, they said so far they have located wems and ammunition, they were feelful that the home might have been booby trapped so they told nearby home owners to evacuate but they said, these are their words, nothing unusual about his home. It just looked like a home that people lived in. Not sure if he was by himself at the home, if he lived there by himself but its a
Retirement Community, upscale, a lot of golf courses in the area, they did not say if there was a motor suicide note but they made entry into the home. They found ammunition and guns at that location, he checked himself in on september 28th, three day ago, according to fbi, it was no accident that this man asked for a high floor, so he could look down at the concert goers, many of the victims were taken to the hospital. They are not only dealing with go shot wounds, they have trample wounds when people were fleeing for their lives, moments after the shots took place, they were desperating searching for a person desperately looking for a person who they thought was connected to the shooting, marilou danley, they have tracked her down, they believe shes not a person of interest, its a fluid situation but shes been ruled out as far as any connection to what happened with
Stephen Paddock, they believe he shot and killed himself before
Police Officers made entry into the room. The fbi said they used explosives to get into the room. That might have prompted him to shoot himself. But we do not have a motive at this point, thats the key question, a lot of people are asking, why . You see video from this morning, this is where the shooter opened fire from the 32nd floor room at the mandalay bay, two windows are blown out. Those are the curtains from the windows, where they were blown out. Thats across the las vegas boulevard from the concert ren eu, he got a room overlooking the concert. He brought the bags up to the hotel room venue, he got a room overlooking the concert. He brought the bags up to the hotel room. People are looking looking at how and why this happened. His brother said, there is no reason we can imagine why
Stephen Paddock would do
Something Like this. We have no idea how this happened, its like an asteroid just fell on our family. Thats how the people felt, like the sky is raining aiment gun fire on to them for some reason, out of the pleu, they had no idea what would happen. President donald trump is speaking now. Thank you, my fellow americans, we are joined together today in sadness, shock and grief. Last night a gunman opened fire on a large crowd at a
Country Music concert in las vegas, nevada, he brutally murdered more than 50 people and wounded hundreds more. It was an act of pure evil. The fbi and the department of
Homeland Security are working closely with local authorities to assist with the investigation and they will provide updates as to the investigation and how it develops, i want to thank the
Las Vegas Metropolitan
Police Department and all of the
First Responders for their courageous efforts and for helping to save the lives of so many. The speed with which they acted is miraculous and prevented further loss of life. To have found the shooter so quickly after the first shots were fired is something for which we will always be thankful and grateful. It shows what true professionalism is all about. Hundreds of our fellow citizens are mourning the sudden loss of a loved one, a parent, a child, a brother or sister. We cannot fathom their pain, we cannot imagine their loss. To the families of the victims, we are praying for you and we are here for you. And we ask god to help see you through this very dark period. Scripture teaches us, the lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. We seek comfort in those words for we know that god lives in the hearts of those that grieve. To the wounded in hospitals, we are praying for your speedy recovery and pledge to you our support from this day forward. In memory of the fallen i have said that our flag will be flown at half staff, i will be going to las vegas wednesday to meet with
Law Enforcement,
First Responders and the families of the victims, a moment of tragedy and horror, america comes together as one and it always has, we call upon the bonds that unite us, our faith, our family and our shared values, we call upon the bonds of citizenship, the ties of community and the comfort of our common humanity, our unity cannot be shattered by evil, our bonds cannot be broken by violence, although we feel such great anger at the senseless murder of your fellow citizens, its our love that defines us today and always will, forever. In times such as these, i know we are searching for some kind of meaning in the chaos, some kind of light in the darkness, the answers do not come easy but we can take solace knowing that even the darkest space can be brightened by a single light and even the most terrible despair can be illuminated by a single ray of hope. Melani and i are praying for every american that has been hurt, wounded, or lost the ones that they lost in this attack. We pray for the day when evil is banished and the innocent are safe from hatred and from fear, may god bless the souls of the lives that are lost. May god give us the grace of healing and may good provide the dpreefg families with strength grieving families with strength to carry on trusted battery for your sons favorite toy . T maybe not. Maybe, you could trust he wouldnt leave the upstairs water running. woman screams or, you could just trust duracell. darya that breaking news we are following. 50 killed and a hail of gunfire, continuous and coming from above, raining down on 22,000 people at a
Country Music festival in vegas. Now more than 50 people are dead and 400 injured. The shooter is dead killing himself as police were closing it, this happened in vegas last night near the mandalay bay hotel. We are getting the latest information that coming in from authorities right now, as they search the shooters home. It looks like we dont have. And active. Evil, take a listen. Our unity cannot be shattered by evil, our bonds cannot be broken by violence, and the we feel such great anger at the senseless murder of our fellow citizens, it is our love that defines us today. As people are trying to come together and make sense of what happened, the second the big question is why, why 64 yearold
Stephen Paddock came here , checked into this hotel, with more than 10 rifles and opened fire on 22,000 people. A look like she had a soundbite from mesquite, nevada where there is an
Ongoing Investigation right now, searching through the shooters home to see if there are clues and if they can get a motive for this worst mass shooting in u. S. History. This was the final performance, of jason aldean, the threeday
Music Festival wrapping up, the sister of our reporter teresa joining us on the phone. Emily tell us where you were and what happened. We were on the side of the stage over to the left, jason had just come onto the right and started his set, about halfway in, we heard what sounded like fireworks, we looked around like what is going on, and then the person next to me was shot down, and well fell down, everyone was screaming, everyone just dropped to the ground, someone through their body over me, my girlfriend threw herself on me, and a run just kept saying stay down, and then there was a break in the shots and it sounded like they were getting closer and closer and he was sweeping through the crowd, picking people out and then there was another break, and we split up. The girl next to me literally lost the side of her face from a bullet, we grabbed her, we jumped over the side railing and got under the stage, people were trying to run and get away. We got under the stage with a few others, and watched the swat movein. They came in in droves, there was a hissing sound, like something was released under the stage so we got out of there, and everyone was bleeding, theres so much chaos. Tell us, you are standing there, you never seen anything like this, i dont know if youve heard gunshots before, why would you think suddenly the woman next you drops down . The man behind me dropped down, and people came over and started doing cpr on him. The woman next to me was shot in her face and lost the side of her face, we try to get her over, everyone was helping everyone, we did not know it was gunfire. We never expected anything like that to happen. How long did this go on, how many rounds did you hear . It never stopped, it felt like forever. I have heard there were hundreds of rounds, he kept reloading, i thought for sure there were multiple people, it couldnt have come from one person it felt like, he was making his way in a kept getting closer and closer, i would see i would say at least 1 minute. Why did you come out from under the stage, i know you heard a hissing sound, but did you come out when the gunfire stopped thinking of the time to run . We came out because the swat team was relocating us, they told us to go back over, to an evacuation area, we can go all the way we crossed over and hopped into one of the buses behind the stage. They were amazing, they kept us safe and were trying to do what they could to help everyone going by. And get them to safety. When you first went into the concert, they always have security, what security was there in the concert . It was tremendous, they were searching all bags, patting down boots, extremely careful of anyone going into the concert. This was a sniper from up about up about, no one in the concert, everyone in the concert was helpful. Could you tell right away it was up above. Where did you think it was coming from at first . Everywhere. It felt like multiples sweeping through the crowd. There was shrapnel, it was getting hit it felt like, everyone was bleeding. I thought for sure there was someone walking through the crowd. Are you staying in las vegas, are you trying to get out . We werent allowed to leave the backstage area. We spent the night on one of the buses backstage, we heard our hotel was on lockdown, were staying at the luxor, the mandalay was on lockdown, everyone was on lockdown. We just got back to our room about 20 minutes ago. We are trying to get out as soon as possible. You say you are with a friend and she covered you on the ground, she used her body to cover you . She did. She threw her body over mine, and another man in the crowd, he threw himself over her, everyone was spreading out, we had several friends, one of our friends was a nurse and he stayed in he mustve triage over 75 people. Another friend of ours brought his truck and because the ambulances werent allowed to come in, they had to stay back in the safe zone, so friend got his truck and were loading people onto the truck. As he took them out to safety, he took probably 14 out. So this is a distance from the road and were ambulances were. We heard they were using wheelbarrows, anything they could, because you had to pick people up right . Yes. There were many that couldnt walk, people were doing cpr, doing anything they could to get them to safety. We are glad you are okay emalee meckenzie, thanks for sharing your story with us. Trying to get out of vegas now and the terrible accounts witnesses have seen, people being shot all around during the concert. One woman was there with her 4 yearold child, take a listen. We will have more on that as we continue, just hearing emalee meckenzies voice , especially this live interview we did, you can hear how she is still shaking recounting it. How thankful she is for those people, strangers and friends who helped save her life and how many lives were lost just around here. The scale of this is hard to imagine. It is beyond imagining that someone would be perched on a hotel room 32 floors above the crowd in the darkness firing automatic weapons, raining down on so many people. We will hear throughout the day more stories about where people were and how they helped and got away, and then soon well hear from the families of those who werent as lucky and lost love root loved ones, over 50 over 50 killed and were expecting that number to grow. Will hear from survivors as we moved to the morning in the days to come with more than 400 people, also their survival tales, this, the most horrible and massive shooting, daily shooting weve seen in the u. S. History. We will be right back with our coverage continuing. Ya just one of the
Amazing Stories of survival were hearing about this morning. A welcome back to our continuing coverage of the deadliest mass shooting in u. S. History, at a country concert last night in las vegas, bullets flying from the
Mandalay Hotel in the background, the shooter dead as well as over 50 victims, 400 people hospitalized. You are hearing survivors tales, this is a mother who managed to escape the hail of bullets with her 4yearold daughter. Is unreal. And so sad, so upsetting. There are so many families, people who werent as lucky as my daughter and i tonight. I just hope everyone can heal from this, i hope people can learn, and everyone, society can learn from senseless acts like this. 10 00 at night, late for many on a sunday night, there were some children in the audience, women had anywhere from authorities about children among the victims yet. She was saying, she was shouting i have a child, people helped her and they wound up over by the
Tropicana Hotel. I know a lot of the hotels were on lockdown and people had trouble sheltering in the hotels. These are the stories that will continue to come out this morning. Those who were lucky enough to survive, others who cant speak to us, more than 400 people in hospitals, and more than 50 are dead. A mass shooting at a concert on 8 14 am, brac back to breaking news, the were shooting in you as history has killed more than 50 people, the death toll supposed to rise as their more than 400 people in the hospital. Look at the latest details we have a new detail showing the concert going on when the gunfire started. The massacre surpassing the polls michael shooting orlando, the 64year old,
Stephen Paddock, a retired white male who checked into the mandalay bay 3 days ago. Last night, during the final performance of this threeday
Country Music festival, the route 91 harvest festival, 22,000 people in attendance. The shooter opened fire from the 32nd floor of the mandalay bay hotel, after busting out the window and firing indiscriminately into the crowd. Mark is a retired sheriffs captain and
Swat Team Commander and he is on the phone right now, we want to talk about, security at these events number 1, number 2 how they were able to pinpoint the shooter at hotel, not near the event but next to it 32 floors up. How did they go floor by floor to locate the shooter . First they will get information from what is occurring on the ground,
Law Enforcement,
First Responders provide information to dispatch , and give them an idea of where the gunfire is coming from. I know a colleague that was there and they could clearly tell the gunfire was coming from above, the shots were raining down on them. They were able to relatively quickly identify where the shots were coming from, and get swat teams, tactical personnel over to the bay to work out to the 32nd floor. And target that individual. It sounds like he had pretty heavy weaponry from what you can hear from the audio from the video. From what i heard yes. Definitely a long rifle, magazine clip, i hear up to 10 weapons, so each of those magazines probably fully loaded and giving him the ability to potentially go back and forth, it looked like there were 2 windows, he couldve had 2 weapons set up. Reverting back and forth and reloading in between if necessary. Which is why to the people on the ground, they thought it was a ring of bullets coming from everywhere. Tell me more about the enforcement officer you know who is there and more about what they wouldve heard and known immediately. I was getting
Text Messages that he was there, it was chaotic, just a mob and they were just trying, they may have been there for the 3 days, they knew the venue well, they were trying to find the best exit out of there. Also, both individuals are
Law Enforcement personnel, they are trying to calm people down and get them to the exit, and get it flowing. Many of those 400 casualties, are probably related to getting trampled on because of the hysteria going on getting out of the venue. As a
Swat Team Commander and as you prepare for these things, is this a situation you wouldve mark danon in the past or is this a new situation that swat teams will china for in the future . Swat teams are completely trained for the situation, particularly in the
Las Vegas Metro area, highrise buildings, they have plans, floor plans, they been completely prepared for an incident like this. They were not necessarily prepared for a sniper situation on a 22,000 person venue. I dont know the timelines here but it appeared they got there pretty quickly, and they need to be very tactically savvy, approach that room and all the floors carefully to make sure, boobytraps arent set up, devices set for them. It seems they got there and a quick response. By the same token it seems impossible, i know that swat teams are prepared but for an event to prepare for this, to be secured. What this guy did, frankly was so easy. It is a free country, people check into hotels, they have tons of bags, he couldve gone up to the room no problem with 1 dozen rifles in his luggage. That is correct. From the information were getting, it was over a 3 to 40 period he was there. He couldve gone up and down, bringing multiple packages of luggage up and down, and no one would pay any attention. As we know, you could avoid room service and room cleaning, that doesnt send any indication to staff. He had all the time in the world to set up and prepare for this tragic event. It makes us wonder, how far you go, what kind of security, how does this change the face of big
Event Security. I think location may be something to consider now at this point. Tactically, any person who has a high ground has the advantage. We may want to look at, locations at venues like this, take it into consideration before we identify it as a venue for large crowds. That is something. Have it more in a deserted area, not between buildings or in an area where there are large buildings. That is something to thank about. Here in the bay area, you are with the
San Mateo County sheriff and youre retired, then a
Swat Team Commander we have so many big events. So many and so many highrises. We recently had the super bowl, we have president ial visits, all kinds of things, situations where we are taking this into consideration. This definitely will broaden our scope of planning, and again, it would be difficult to search every hotel room associated with events in that proximity, one president ial visit, there is that emphasis that goes into it where we are paying attention to the surroundings in high ground situations. I think it is just more considerations have to go in to the location of the venues in the future. Are right mark wyss retired san mateo officer, we appreciate your insight, thank you. Isis is claiming responsibility, no proof obviously but they are claiming responsibility. That is something we wont know or confirm until the investigators sift through the gunmans home which they are doing right now. Live at the breaking news desk with more on the gunman and what is happening now. Reporter reporters have spoken to
Stephen Paddocks brother and he said there is nothing, no church, religion, politics, nothing he is just a guy, there is nothing. Thats what many people are saying in mesquite, nevada his hometown. The
Police Department in mesquite, let me pull up his picture. If youre just joining us here is
Stephen Paddock, 64 years old. He has no criminal history, they never had to deal with him in the past. They went in his home, they had a search warrant and made entry into his home over the past couple of hours, they said they located ammunition and guns but they simply do not have a motive for the shooting. They are looking to see if theres any possible material that may indicate why he chose to go to the mandalay bay september 28, 3 days before the massacre took place. The 32nd floor to look down on concertgoers, 22,000 of them plus at the concert around 10 pm last night when shots were fired. We know at least 50 people are dead and more than 400 injured. A lot of the people in the hospital at this moment not only do they have gunshot wounds, they are dealing with trampled patients. A lot of the hospitals are overwhelmed with the volume of people coming to that location, the fbi has been called in to help, they want to be the center for any video, witnesses possibly dealing with the fbi, as they call the clearinghouse for the information. As far as this 64yearold man he has no criminal history, nothing to jump out at this particular point, that he was an avid huntsman and lived in mesquite for a while, an upscale community, gulf resorts, they had to evacuate some nearby homes as they made entry into the homes, fearing he could have boobytrapped things with explosive. They went in, searching through his home, but the question a lot of people want to find out is why and they dont have an answer yet. We are waiting to hear more from
Las Vegas Police, they will give a press conference shortly. As we wait for more info from police, well go to the press conference when it happens, well be right back as we continue breaking
News Coverage of the shooting in vegas. Police a 20 7 am, back in back to the breaking news story, the details about the mass shooting, the worst in the was history, and deadliest last night in las vegas. We are expecting the death toll to rise, over 50 were killed and well over 400 injured, someone in a hail of gunfire coming from above and some from trying to get out, whether they had to get through big crowds, go over fences, or hide underthings they did, there are various injuries we will find out, we are standing by waiting for the
Las Vegas Police to give us new details we know at this hour and monitoring it right now. Seen more video streaming in, people posting online, waiting for an update on the victims. They say the death toll is over 50, over 400 people injured, based on the number transported to the hospital. The crowd started to run when they realized it was a hail of gunfire and not pyrotechnics, and witnesses of the shooting went on for 20 minutes, with a round of gunfire, as and the break is the shooter either switched weapons or reloaded. Firing gunshots, 50 rounds at a time. I there would be a break in you would think it was over and another round of gunfire. Local police are trying to figure out where the shoot being where the shooting was coming from, they went up to the mandalay 32nd floor and when they blew up in the hotel room the gunman was already dead, from a selfinflicted gunshot one. Its so scary when you think these are regular people hanging out listening to music at a concert, one of our reporters, we talked to her sister who is there with a friend. A man behind her getting hit, dropping, another person, half her face blown off. In the middle of a
Country Music concert, her friend shield her shielded her, another stranger shielded them, other people a similar stories of how they got out alive. Trying to put into words what we experienced and we cant. We cant come up with it. Its like watching a war movie, you feel like it was fictional, and it didnt really happen but it did. We stepped over the bodies, we saw the people, heart wrenching sadness, for those that cant hold their loved ones. You saw the chaos in disbelief. Disbelief is the only word you can come up with. There is a gentleman who was shot and he said can you help me. I put them in my car and i at 6 people in my car, people without shoes, running, just to get away. She had 6 people in her car, so many people took others to safety or the hospital. She said when she got in her car people were hiding underneath her car and she to make sure they were out before she drove off. There is a nearby airport, people running onto the runway, running over fences, doing what they could, we talked to teresa sister and she was hiding under the stage, they were lucky to get the swat team to escort them out, but these other people were in a mob and they were all trying to hit exits and get out at the same time. The gunfire as far as they knew was coming from everywhere, they didnt know it was coming from one hotel room 34 32 floors up. 22,000 concertgoers fenced in and the stage area, for this threeday concert with the final concert taking place, jason aldean as he performed in shots rang out. It took 30 seconds for everyone to realize what was happening in jason aldean running off the stage with his band. He tweeted he is all right in his condolences to everyone at the concert. We are waiting to hear more from the victims, hear more from those injured and whats happening with those hospitalized. Police on the lefthand side of your screen, in vegas, more information,

Retirement Community in mesquite. We have a picture, one picture that has surfaced this morning, taken in a bar or something. You can see, he is 64 years old, our man, a las vegas, a native of nevada, lived in mesquite and shared a home, a 400,000 home in a
Retirement Community, with a woman who investigators have talked to, she is out of the country and they dont think she was connected but he was using some of her idu or somethings with her names on it, he booked the hotel room under her name. A hotel room he may have been in for 3 days, bringing up the weapons, maybe in separate shifts so no one would notice. He wouldve had a number of bags to bring in, more than 10 weapons, big long rifles. They may have been fitted to shoot as many bullets as they did without reloading, military expert said it sounded like a belt military style weapon he was using so he wouldnt be noticed. Maybe no room service are not having his room cleaned, to our knowledge no one knew about it even his family. Las Vegas Police to come out with more information about the dems and possibly the shooter. There are bay area families who were there as well, we have one on the phone but well talk to him in a minute the first an update from las vegas. Good morning everyone, for those that dont know i am sheriff lombardo for clark county, i dont have much more to update you with from our previous briefings, one thing in particular that has changed, in the negative, our body count. Thats the wrong way to say it. The number of people that have died associated with this event has increased. Right now we are raising the number to 58. I was just informed it maybe 59, an individual expired at sunrise hospital. In normal fashion i do not want to give you that information, see do not press me on that number until we get further into the investigation. The number of injured, we are using the number of 515. As the hours go by that number continues to increase. We have not received additional intelligence associated with the suspect. We have completed the search warrant in mesquite, im not aware of derogatory information we could utilize to further this investigation at this point but we have recovered items and will take a little while to evaluate that information. We learned information of additional property in northern nevada, the fbi has responded to the location and will be serving search warrant shortly. We completed the investigation at the room, we collected all the items associated with the suspect and we are in the recovery stage of that. Mandalay bay itself has gone back to service, minus the 32nd floor. They would like everyone advised, if they are separated from their hotel room they have the ability to return to the hotel. The location in question, the concert hall, we will be in the long process of buttery recovery body recovery and evidence recovery and documentation. We ask for patients as we bring information forward. Its a long, laborious process to identify victims and reunite them with family members to advise them of their situation. We still have the families responding to the
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police headquarters, to conduct a reunification of family or friends. In the next few hours, i dont want to give you a skewed timeline but approximately 1 pm we will request family members to respond to the convention area,
Convention Center area to utilize the larger space, and we could bring in victim advocates to assist with family members in the longterm. Right now its a temporary phase associated with the reunification. Additionally, we are asking to solely utilize
United Blood Service for
Blood Donation and unc, the only places to donate blood. We had issues associated with another medical clinic, we applauded their efforts to help but we had resource issues. So to ensure you know where the
United Blood Services locations are go to their website so we can get immediate lifesaving blood for victims associated with this. You can tell i have several individuals, to my rear, we would like to comment. To reference the isis statement, i went to talk about that now, special agent rouse will respond to that from the fbi and he will explain what we know in reference to isis claiming this individual, thank you. Good morning. As this event unfolds we have determined to this point no connection with an
International Terrorist group as the
Investigation Continues, well continue to work with our partners to ensure this is factually, thoroughly and absolutely investigated, to bring comfort and peace back to the community. Thank you. Good morning, my name is ruben giving the congressman for the 4th
Congressional District in nevada and i want to say thank you to
Law Enforcement, all the
First Responders who are fighting tirelessly to protect and save lives, i had the opportunity to stop by a hospital this morning, i saw firsthand the victims, family members, but i also saw nurses and doctors, that were working tirelessly to save lives, and its a sad day for nevada. Its a sad day for las vegas, but if anything good came out of this, i saw humanity, i saw our
Community Come together, i saw strangers help strangers in saving lives. I want to say thank you to the sheriff and metro police, firefighters, the doctors, nurses and everyone working to save lives at this precise moment, i know we will get through this inner city will be stronger, thank you so much. I am clark
County District attorney steve wilson, on behalf of the clark county das office, our thoughts and prayers go to everyone associated with this event. 2 of my prosecutors, 2 of my young female prosecutors were at this concert, close to the stage. Ive spoken to both of them this morning and they are pretty rattled, shaken a. This was a horrific event to say the least, a classic weapon and a man of mass destruction. I am pleased how this doesnt involve politics in the sense that republican or democrat, we are here, all of us are nevadans, and im proud to be present with the other leaders here because we are working together to get through this, i want to thank you sheriff lombardo for your leadership in leading us through this terrible thing. Thank you. Think you sheriff i want to begin by thanking the sheriff, he got down here 8 or 9 hours ago and there arent many here, just a handful immediately after the incident, i can tell you
First Responders, men and women of the fire department, and metro on their way in when this happened, we have
First Responders covered in blood. As a result of this, a lot of the victims havent been identified at this point, but they have stepped up. It was a soul shooter, no further threat we are aware of, i want to assure everyone listening, that las vegas is safe. The men and women of mandalay bay and mgm resorts have been incredible in terms of communicating and working with the
Sheriffs Office to ensure that everyone will be taken care of and get back to their rooms they all understand we are safe and doing what is humanly possible to protect tourists and citizens. The sheriff and i have set up a gofundme account some of you may have seen, people have been inundated with
Text Messages, phone calls, people asking what they can do. There is a lot of family that will help a lot at this time, over 500 and the hospitals being treated and we need to provide some sort of support, we have done that, i cant say enough about the men and women that are
First Responders here in clark county and all over the cities and jurisdictions that are pulled together, we pledge the full resources of clark county to assist the sheriff and fbi in any way possible. We ask for your prayers, god bless you. I want to thank you all, im carolyn goodman, this is a great city, i want to mirror what the commissioner has spoken to about the great response, rapid and thorough of
First Responders in
Law Enforcement. I spent part of last night in late this morning with you all because i was over at umc in the trauma unit, it has been a difficult time for us. As we look forward to continuing what are great city does, we offer a safe place. This is a crazed lunatic full of hate and we dont know much about his background. It certainly isnt an extension of what we believe in, what everyone who lives here and works here, and those who visit here want to see. This was simply outrageous and uncalled for and so many innocent people, young people, children, parents who have lost loved ones, and so many suffering in the hospitals, going through major surgery, some were hit quite lately with shrapnel as they were near the exits. It has been a hugely traumatic time for all of us and for our visitors who love
Country Music, many of whom came from the northern part of our states. They really just came here for a wonderful and safe time and we pride ourselves on our
Law Enforcement. They are so rapid to respond, so thorough and what they do. Our
First Responders have been simply phenomenal. It is a city in a community that has pulled together, everyone is working so hard to make sure we are taking care of the needs of the families and those who lost loved ones. It has been a very traumatic time for everyone, the president gave a beautiful message and he will be visiting us either later today, tomorrow or wednesday, great concern, and we know the entire community, i have so many mayors and governors that have called me personally to express their support, and what we ask for is blood, that is the main thing right now. If our people want to do something in their healthy please donate blood, well have plenty of bags available, call the hospital if you are unsure where to go. Thank you very much, madam congresswoman im sorry i didnt need to step in front of you. Thank you very much, i am dana titus i represent nevadas district one including the fabulous
Las Vegas Strip including the mandalay bay, where this her in this act took place. So many times i welcome people to las vegas, and all the excitement and entertainment and fun it has to offer, i never thought i would be standing here trying to offer solace, and my assistance to victims of
Something Like this that would happen. All through the night, we were greeted by
Law Enforcement and i think you sheriff and your team for all you did in the
First Responders, mainly were trying to stay out of the way because you dont want to turn out personal tragedy into a political event. Today my office will be giving blood as the mayor said, they appreciate your thoughts and prayers but what they need is blood. It will be open to do anything we can to assist, but i have been hearing so many stories of heroism that occurred in the midst of this tragedy, offduty
Police Officers who were there for the concert, for an evening of fun who are able to help people get shelter and identify the location of the shooter. And random strangers, a friend of some of my staff who lived in the district said they were running and being trampled and someone opened the van door and pulled them inside for shelter and safety. Those are the kind of people we have in las vegas, willing to reach out and help one another. I think all of our
Law Enforcement, the
First Responders, those in the hospitals where people are in the halls, parking lot, trying to take care of so many, please call on our offices if theres any way we can be of assistance. I and adam laxalt nevadas nevadas attorney general, i want to echo what people have said today, ive been here since 2 in the morning, and the job that metro,
First Responders in
Law Enforcement has done has been remarkable. We never been hit with such a tough situation in the city, to see the poise, and the pressure they perform under was truly astounding. I believe they will always be able to get us out of the situations,
Law Enforcement will step up to the plate when we need the most, and of course the city and our state will bounce back, thank you very much. I want to add one more thing before the governor comes up. I would ask you to do something else, when you see one of these men and women wearing a badge, members of the fire department, tell them thank you, their selfless actions saved the lives of hundreds, not a dozen but hundreds of people, this death count wouldve been many 100 more if it wasnt for the brave work of every one of these men and women you see wearing a badge, members of our fire department,
First Responders,
Police Department , i encourage everyone watching, say thank you. We appreciate that. Good morning i am governor brian sandoval. I dont know if i have words to describe what were going through, what these unfortunate victims are going through. We are angry, grieving, confused, people are hurting. I want to thank the sheriff and
First Responders , i had an opportunity to visit patients in the hospital and its unimaginable what people are going through right now. You have family that are here and dont have anyone to reach out to. But the
First Responders and what theyve done it is their finest hour. The way the sheriff, the metropolitan
Police Department have handled this event is unprecedented and. Unprecedented. The paramedics who came on the scene, and what was basically a war zone, they treated all the men, women and kids. The
Healthcare Professionals at the hospital, the doctors it came from all over the valley. To do what they could. And now, we dont understand what is happened, im sure well find out more when metro continues to do its investigation. I know for everyone watching, i want to thank the president of the u. S. , the governors that reached out to me to offer help and assistance. We need blood. If anyone can contribute blood, anyone in
Las Vegas Area or locally who can do that. As we move on we will learn more, we need this help. This is obviously an unprecedented event in our nations history and we have to learn from this. We have to fight through this. We have to stop and pray. For the families and victims. We have to rely on our faith at a time like this. To get us through all of it. I couldnt be prouder of the way nevadans responded to this. What theyve done. Doctors and nurses, everyone who worked through the night to save lives. They have told me they have saved lives, if not for the organization and professionalism and training. Again sheriff thank you for the courage that youve shown. To the people that were at the concert, you see courage and compassion there, people helping strangers, risking their own lives to help people. It speaks highly to the character of america. So again theres a lot to learn from all this, this cowardly despicable act, im very angry about. There isnt much we can do but we can learn. Ladies and gentlemen thank you for everyones care and concern. Im really proud to be with everyone here, the mayor, congressman, attorney general, sheriff, all the congressmen and
Law Enforcement, this is a family, god bless all of you. God bless most importantly the families, the victims, the mothers and fathers, the sons and daughters, the aunts and uncles, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors. For everyone who is watching, please stop for a moment, pause and say a prayer, thank you. That was nevadas governor expressing condolences, 58 people are dead and 515 injured in this mass shooting and vegas. Well be back with more in a couple minutes. darya that breaking news we are following. The u. S. Worst massacre ever has gotten even worse, new numbers, 58 people or more killed, 515 in the hospital and injured after this mass shooting at a
Country Music concert. The shooter identified of 60 s 64yearold
Stephen Paddock, he is dead , he kill himself as
Police Closed in on the 32nd floor the mandalay bay hotel. He had 10 or more high powered rifles, and a hail of bullets coming down from his hotel room last night, lets go live to las vegas, christian home has the latest. We just wrapped up a press conference from officials on the ground in las vegas who are still trying to get to the bottom of the question of why, why
Stephen Paddock drove here, checked in this
Hotel Thursday night with more than 10 rifles and opened fire on 22,000 people. We have some breaking news in regards to an isa statement that was released, and fbi special agent said
Law Enforcement has still made no connection to this terror group, no connection that he was in any way involved with isis, but that leaves the question as to what exactly his motivation was. President trump at the white house addressing the deadliest mass shooting in modern u. S. History. It was an act of pure evil. The fbi, and the department of
Homeland Security, are working closely with local authorities to assist with the investigation. In las vegas the investigation just beginning, this morning place identifying the shooter as 64yearold
Stephen Paddock, him checking into the mandalay bay resort september 28 , in his room, at least 10 rifles. Last night just after 10 pm in las vegas, he fired from the 32nd floor into a crowd of 22,000 concertgoers,
Police Believe he shot and killed himself prior to their entry into his hotel room. Survivors describing a terrifying scene on the ground. No matter which direction you went in or were you took cover there was at least 2 to 3 bodies apart event and he didnt know where youre safe. Stormy was coast of the concert and he said his first thought was pyrotechnics. Instead it was gunfire. It seemed like he just wanted to hit as many people as possible. He succeeded if that was his goal. We know there are at least 58 people dead and this number continues to rise. More than 515 people have been hospitalized for gunshot wounds or wounds during this time. Live from las vegas kristin holmes, back to. We spoke live with a woman who is at the concert, she describes the scene. There was shrapnel, i was getting hit, everyone was bleeding, i thought for sure there was someone walking to the crowd. What happens now are you staying in las vegas are trying to get out . We werent allowed to leave the backstage area, we heard that our hotel was on lockdown and were staying at the luxor. Mandalay was on lockdown, everyone around us on lockdown. We got back to her room about 20 minutes ago, we are trying to get out as soon as possible. You say you are with a friend and she covered you. She used her body to cover you . She did. She threw her body over mine, another man in the crowd, threw himself over her, everyone was spreading out, we have several friends, one of her friends was a nurse and he said he mustve triage over 75 people. Another friend of ours brought his truck and because ambulances couldnt come in, they had to stay back in the saison so friend got his truck and were loading people onto the truck and the triage man as the took them to safe distances. He took about 14 people out. This is a distance of the road, we heard they were using wheelbarrows or anything they could, because you had to pick people up right . Yes. There were many that couldnt walk, people were doing cpr, doing anything they could to get them to safety. We are glad you are okay, thank you for sharing your story with us. Weve been hearing from a lot of people from the bay area who were in las vegas including mike doherty who joins us on the phone. Where were you and what happened . We had just got back to the mandalay bay, weve been out the whole night since shortly after it happened. We were at the concert, 25 yards from the front center and we heard the staccato verse to the right. Everyone instinctively took a knee and then people started laying down, and then the gunfire continued. Then it started a mass exodus to the left, to the northern exit. That was when we are screaming dont get trampled, dont be a victim keep moving, keep running. We got split up. A couple of the couples stay together, i lost my wife in the melee, most of the people to cover, there were people falling to the right and left and you could hear the bullets ricocheting. As they came into the auditorium. We assumed there was a shooter on the ground, i dont know what theyre finding out now but apparently it couldve come from the top of the hotel but we didnt know that. I went out of the gate, people were down, i started administering medical care, giving
Emergency Medical Technicians to people that were shot. A lot of them were running out and bleeding, we are trying to identify and help those people get to a point they could have stability. It was a good effort, there were cars coming to load people up. Chaos there, people panicking, it was a little out of control. For the most part, we tried to keep calm, i stayed at the exit, and we turned it into a triage area. 45 minutes after the shooting they were still bringing people from the front up near the stage to the back and using wheelbarrows. The gates that separate people, and the venues were broken apart. We were using stretchers, bringing people up, im not a medical technician but i was trying to provide some calm and help people that needed it and assist with injuries, one lady was shot 3 times in the chest. A lot of shoulder shots, ricochets from the bullets hit people in the feet. The traumatic thing is you go through, people are coming up, trying to deal with that and get the bodies organized, so the emts and ambulances know whats going on. You are speaking so calmly, you say are not in the medical profession, how are you able to be so calm, you are separated from your wife. I dont know, maybe just being prepare for crazy stuff sometimes, i dont know. Cerney certainly not her rogue stuff just helping folks and be a good citizen. Help the guys that were hurt. At times it would stop and then start over, how long did it go on for . He was obviously changing magazines. He probably had anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds and then heard the shots and that would ring out again. A lot of people, were running out, and they get half a block in there be another verse so they would turn around go the other way. Even the police didnt know where to direct people. It sounds like maybe you dont know the latest, it was meant one man on the 32nd floor of your hotel were you were staying, the mandalay bay hotel, you described everyone crouching down and not moving, you were sitting ducks, and he was shooting down. Yet we didnt know that. I assumed the shots were coming from the right. On the ground, i had no idea they are coming from the hotel. What are your plans now . Your wife and friends are okay, what are your plans now . We all came out unscathed. A little traumatized, but everyone is okay. Are you able to leave las vegas at this point, where you live here in the bay area . As soon as i hang up well try to get to the airport. We literally just got back to our rooms. We are in mandalay bay trying to pack up, we dont know how long it will take. Everything is closed off around us so we can get a vehicle in there. Thank you for sharing your story, thank you for calling. He is one of the people we announce on the air in the hour that they cleared the mandalay bay and started letting people in cost they could head back to the bay area. Amazing Stories of survival were welcome back, continuing coverage of the mass shooting at a
Music Festival in las vegas. 22,000 and the crowd, among them 58 dead and 550 injured. By lone gunman who fired into the crowd from the 32nd floor. We heard from a bay area man who was there with his wife and friends, they escaped unharmed and helped a lot of people, people who for example like this mother had her 4year old daughter there and they appeal to strangers for help,
Carly Krygier made her way through the crowd near the
Tropicana Hotel and got out safely, listen to her. It is unreal. So sad, so upsetting. There are so many families, people who werent as lucky as my daughter and i tonight. I just hope everyone can heal from this, i hope people can learn and everyone, society can learn from a senseless act like this. She says one thing shes thankful for is her daughter didnt see blood or injuries during the shooting, but you have to find a way to discuss what happened with her 4year old who was with her at the concert. Its amazing considering the firsthand accounts weve been hearing of so many people who were shot, and 70 people who were wounded walking and trying to get help out of the scene, to him ounces, there werent enough obviously, they were taking people in cars and trucks to the hospital, and we found out there are more people wounded, 515, and more people dead, we will continue to date this throughout the morning, are only breaking news story, the u. Las Vegas Strip. Back to our breaking news story, a mass shooting at a concert in las vegas that turned into a massacre, at least 58 people dead and 515 wounded this morning. They were shot by a soul gun man who was up in a hotel room in mandalay bay above the scene you see here shooting down with an automatic weapon. To hear the gun puff and fire rapid succession, 64 youll
Stephen Paddock, retired white male that lived in mesquite 90 miles away. He had as many as 10 guns in his room on the 32nd floor and as
Police Closed in, he killed himself is what police are saying. He was living in a
Retirement Community to the northeast. They are saying its a lone wolf attack. Historians we are hearing the stories we are hearing our remarkable and horrible. We are hanging from a man who is at the concert, glad youre alive it mustve been traumatic, tell us where you were and what happened . We were right in front of the stage, 20 feet back to the end, they had vip tents set up and were kind of in front of that, ive been to hundreds of concerts, the next thing you know we hear all these pops, the first thing we thought was someone was throwing fireworks , the next thing you know you see jason aldean in the band run off the stage, and were like whats going on, and we heard it again, and again i still think its fireworks, and we see people being shot and hitting the ground and of course the 3 of us freak out, also hit the ground and lay low. Got the idea, lets crawl under the bleachers, get some protection. We crawled under the bleachers, we were hovering with maybe 30, 40 or 50 people and it was pandemonium. Everyone was running, screaming and crying. You knew constantly kept hearing rounds and rounds, and then 30 seconds of breaks, 60 seconds, and this went on for at least 15 minutes. This gunfire. In our minds, is there one shooter, 10 shooters, what is going on. You dont have any idea you just see people, people in front of you covered in blood, laying there and their friends are crying and trying to help them. The craziest thing ive ever experienced in my life. Had you ever seen someone shot . Never. When i was 16 years old i worked at a
Convenience Store and we got robbed, there was a gun in my face and i was by myself, to this day that was my closest near death experience, last night, my one friend was like we need to run for it. I was like, my gut kept saying stay under the bleachers lets see how it unfolds. Everyone will be running at once, people being trampled, i said lets hover under here wide we want to run out, when this guy is shooting. We had no idea, it was so loud and crazy. Running with guns in their hand, looking in the air. Run, run, run. Hovering a while, and then we made a run for it. Walking through, is the guy in front of you the shooter, will he start shooting at you. You dont know. No one knew where to go, everyone is running in different directions, bodies on the ground all over the place. How many bursts would you say there was, how long did this go on for . I have to estimate 15 minutes, maybe 20, 30 to 60 seconds of rapid fire and then a pause, see you didnt know, and it was so loud, we were on the side closest to mandalay bay so we were the closest people, you didnt know. Youve never been in a situation like that, we hovered and waited and then finally threw for minutes with no shots and we took a run for it, once we took off there were no more shots fire to my knowledge. So youre taking off for what and where, we have reports of people running onto the runway at the airport nearby, people running into parking lots and trying to get away but they didnt know where. Where did you go and what to do see then, there were tons of wounded people that needed to be transported. My friend was asked couple of times, and he offered help and people were still shooting. We said we had to lay lay low. And there are people helping others, and im sure those were some the people that ended up dead. My friend ended up in an apartment nearby, other people we knew were there and they end up at the airport. I walked over to tropicana and no one knew what was going on, they were screaming and yelling. I was barefoot in 1 fortnight a flipflop in the other night walked across the street to and jim casino in the craziest thing, it has been 20 minutes since the first shot, maybe 30 minutes and there were people playing jack that blackjack and rolling crap dice. As people were laying on the ground crying their people playing games i was like what is going on. Almost 200 yards away from this massacre and they are rolling dice. I walked over to the pool and i walked across the street, and there was traffic and i called in uber and got out of there. Glad to hear you are all right and thank you for talking to us this morning. Youre coming back to the bay area today . I have a car across the street and i go back and forth between here in the bay. At the moment, yesterday i sought the sharks game, and i saw jason aldean i was in ago but my buddy said i have couple other tickets, my body, what a heck of a reunion we had, we havent seen each other in 5 years. Stephen Paddocks brother whos just as puzzled about why his brother went to the 32nd floor of mandalay bay, broke a window and shot down, birds eye view, shot 22,000 people, were having a good time at the concert. Listen to his brother. Hes never even drawn his gun. It makes no sense. Hes never hit anyone. He had a couple of handguns, he may have had one long rifle, but he did have automatic weapons that i knew of at any time. You heard his brother, he couldnt believe it. At one point he described his brother as just a guy, nothing really stood out about him, that was the same way the

First Responders in the families of the victims. In moments of tragedy in horror, america comes together as one. And it always has, we call upon the bonds that unite us, our faith, family, our shared values. We call upon the bonds of citizenship that ties the community and the comfort of our common humanity. Our unity cannot be shattered by evil, our bonds cannot be broken by violence, in the we feel such great anger at the senseless murder of our fellow citizens it is our love that defines us today. And always will forever. In times such as these i know we are searching for some kind of meaning in the chaos, some kind of light in the darkness, the answers do not come easy. We can take solace knowing, even the darkest space can be brightened by a single light, and even the most terrible despair can be illuminated by a single ray of hope. We are praying for every american who has been hurt, wounded or lost, the ones they loved so dearly in this terrible, terrible attack. We pray for the entire nation to find eugenie in peace unity in peace and we pray for the day evil is banished and the innocent are safe from hatred and from fear.
