( tiffany ) 22 people have been injured after a fire and reports of an explosion at a subway station. london police declaring it a terrorist incident. we have new images into the newsroom showing the area around the station this morning. passengers reported an explosion in a carriage of a train shortly after 8 a.m london time. that is right in the middle of the morning rush hour. 22 people were taken to the hospital... some with burn injuries. others were injured when they got trampled by people running away from the scene. officials say none of the injuries are considered life threatening. ( tiffany ) police say the fire on the train was caused by an improvised explosive device. this picture posted on social media shows a white plastic bucket on the train. that bucket is inside a supermarket shopping bag with flames and wires coming out of it... british security sources say a timer was found on the device. police say the station was full of people at the time of the explosion. london's mayor says security forces are doing what they can. ( tiffany ) and this morning president trump is responding to the attack. the president on twitter this morning saying quote: "another attack in london by a loser terrorist.these are sick and demented people who were in the sights of scotland yard. must be proactive!" ( tiffany ) so far nobody is claiming responsibility for the attack. police say right now there is no way to know how many people are responsible...prime minister teresa may is scheduled to chair an emergency meeting as police appeal for witnesses. i will keep following the situation and bring you updates through out the morning. back to you. ( darya ) thanks tiffany. this is now the fifth terror attack in london since the end of march.( mark ) that is when when a man drove a car through pedestrians near the british parliament killing 4 people. then on may 22nd there was the bombing at the ariana grande concert that killed 22. then on june 3rd there were attacks at a market and on the london bridge that killed 8 people. then later that month... a van plowed into a crowd of worshippers leaving a mosque. one person was killed and 8 others injured. ( darya ) and as we mentioned this attack happened during the morning commute in london.( mark ) kron 4's lydia pantazes is live at the walnut creek bart station with reaction from commuters. lydia. ( lydia ) this morning we are speaking to bart riders bout their concerns. i just spoke with one rider here is what they had to say. me or anything like that, but i am aware."> ( darya ) thanks lydia. we will check back with you through out the morning. ( mark ) at least nine people are arrested in berkeley after nearly a thousand people showed up to protest at the cal campus. groups gathered to protest an event where conservative ben shapiro was set to speak. police say for the most part the protests remained peaceful. berkeley officials were prepared for violence. there were some confrontations between protesters and police. and several speakers who spoke out against shapiro saying his positions on certain topics are mysoginstic and anti immigrants. (mark) and the berkeley police department has released the names and mugshots of some of the people arrested. they are 44-year-old sarah rourke, 20-year-old hannah benjamin, 29-year-old paul sullivan. 44-year-old eddy robinson, and 18-year-old kerem celik. ( darya ) happening now... in the east bay... the "do not drink the water" advisory is still in place for people living and working in the alameda point community. people can use their tap water to shower, wash their hands and dishes... but officials say it is still not safe to drink. east bay mud made the rounds yesterday giving out free, clean water for people to use. pacific fine food catering company took advantage of that. on wednesday the owner said she and her employees had to lug 275 gallons of clean water to the kitchen to keep things running smoothly. ( darya ) the water advisories issued tuesday have impacted some 270 residents... and, more than 60 businesses. the city of alameda says somehow... the east bay mud drinking water pipe in the area was contaminated with dirty water. ( mark ) an 18-year-old man is arrested and accused of inappropriately touching a child at a day car center in the south bay. and this morning police are looking for more victims. it happened at "jumping up learning circles" in san jose. police say they arrested the man and charged him with sexual assault. his identity is not being released because he was a minor at the time of the assault. police say he is accused of touching a 9-year-old boy while working at the tutoring and learning center. (mark) police in the east bay are looking for someone who sexually assaulted a woman at a popular walking trail. the assault happened back in january - but police are just now releasing this sketch. officers say the victim was headed east on the refugio valley road... walking on a trail near partridge drive. that is when she was approached from behind by a man who put a gun to her head. the man ordered the woman to a secluded wooded area... and assaulted her. ( darya ) three former google employees are suing the company for ásystemicá gender pay discrimination. the women say google offered fewer promotions to their female workers-- and lower pay. now they're hoping a judge will certify their filed complaint as a class-action lawsuit. the lawsuit comes during an investigation by the u-s department of labor... into google's alleged pay discrimination. google denies the allegations and says it has systems in place to prevent pay inequality. (mark) the united nations security council is holding an emergency meeting after north korea launched another missile over japan. pyongyang launched the ballistic missile over the japanese island of hokkaido. this comes after the north korean news agency said the four islands should sink into the sea. south korea responded with a live fire drill that included its own missile launch. (mark) the launch comes as the u- n gave north korea another round of sanctions limiting cash flow and oil it can import. analysts predict this will not be enough to stop the regime from creating a ballistic missile that could reach the u-s. (mark) happening now... firefighters are gaining ground battling a wildfire that was started by lightning in san mateo county. the fire broke out on monday evening near skyline boulevard. this morning that fire is 80% contained. firefighters say they are hoping to have the fire contained by the end of the day today. right now no homes are being threatened and nobody has been injured. (darya) happening today... state lawmakers will vote on a sanctuary state bill. the bill would expand protections for undocumented immigrants who come into contact with police officers. the bill would boost protections that are already among the toughest in the nation. if the bill is approved... it would head to governor brown's desk for his signature. he has already announced his support for the bill. (mark) a former san francisco police officer involved in a racist text message scandal is pleading guilty to filing a false report. curtis liu entered the plea .... as part of a deal with prosecutors. he was arrested last year... accused of tipping off a fellow officer about a sexual assault investigation. liu was accused of lying about the incident as part of a cover up. a separate investigation uncovered the racist text messages exchanged between several police officers. liu is set to be sentenced in november. ( darya ) a california father is under arrest this morning... accused of murdering his three children inside their west sacramento home. an 11-year-old boy.... 9-year-old girl and an infant were found dead wednesday night inside their apartment. police say their father...robert hodges...is the killer. hodges is also accused of choking their mother who was inside the home at the time of the killing. he is now in jail on suicide watch. ( darya ) in the south bay... police are looking for a package thief... dressed as a fedex worker. take a look at this video sent to us by a kron four viewer. the surveillance video was taken from a home on monday. you can see the man wearing a fedex shirt ... walk up to the home... he appears to be holding an envelope in his hand. when he gets to the front door ... he takes a package out of the mailbox. takes the larger box doorstep... and casually walks ( mark ) a proposal to hike bridge tolls in the bay area by three- dollars....is moving forward. the plan passed the state assembly and the state senate and now heads to the governor's desk. but ultimately it would be up to voters to decide whether or not to raise tolls. the proposal calls for using the money generated from the toll increase .... to add more trains to bart, increase ferry and bus service and make improvements to bay area freeways. the earliest the measure could appear on a ballot is next june. it would not apply to the golden gate bridge but it would increase the tolls on 7 other bay area bridges. ( mark ) a bill to make california schools start later in the morning has failed. the state assembly defeated the bill yesterday. it would have required middle and high schools to start at 8:30-am or later. supporters of the bill said later start times would allow kids to get better sleep and improve their school performance. others say it would interfere with the family's schedule and put a burden on parents. lawmakers will reconsider the bill today. (darya) and california lawmakers are pushing a bill to end the practice of so- called "lunch shaming." "lunch shaming" is when a student is publically shamed... because their parents cannot pay for their lunch bill. the bill will require local education officials to help those families sign up for free- and reduced -lunch programs. backers of the bill say, children should not be used as debt-collection instruments. the u-s-d-a currently requires districts to inform parents about meal debts.. but it does not ban any debt- collection practices. this is similar to a bill that is currently making its way through congress. ( darya ) san jose becomes the first city to file a lawsuit against the trump administartion over its decision to rescind daca. eighteen states and the district of columbia have also filed lawsuits as well. in its suit, san jose claims the trump administrations decision to end daca... is unconstitutional. the city says, it is uniquely and directly harmed by the move. according to the suit... daca recipients provide public safety and other services critical to the community. ( darya ) the lawsuit also claims that the city's workforce will be harmed if daca is ended. president trump has given congress six months to act. democrats say they have reached a deal with the president to turn daca into law. ( mark ) police are using new technology to try and solve a 27- year- old cold case. maria weidhofer was sexually assaulted and killed back on november 15th, 19-90. it happened during her morning jog in tilden regional park in the east bay. weidhofer was strangled and raped on the nimitz way trail. and before the murder police believe the killer was waiting for her on a bench near the trail entrance. now investigators have released a sketch of a person interest in the murder. it was created using new technology that analyzed the killer's d-n-a. police say it can predict physical appearance and ancestry. here's what the d-n-a testing revealed. the person of interest was around 25 years old at the time of the attack. he likely has fair skin, brown or hazel eyes with brown to black hair. analysts then advanced his age to what he may look like today at age 55. the new sketch matches witness descriptions of what they called a "suspicious man." ( mark ) a six million dollar lawsuit has been filed against bart after several passengers were attacked and robbed onboard a train. the lawsuit details three separate incidents at the oakland coliseum station. one happened in march and the other two happened in april. all the cases involved a mob of teenagers stealing people's cell phones and other personal items. the lawsuit claims bart failed to keep these passengers safe. ( mark ) bart's legal representative says bart acts to the best of its ability to cover and protect its passengers. ( darya ) people in florida are still cleaning up the mess left behind from hurricane irma. crews across the state are working in 90 degree heat to restore power to almost two million people. search and rescue crews are still going door to door in some cities searching for survivors. ( darya ) the east coast of florida is expected to get their power back this weekend, but the west coast will have to wait till next week. ( darya ) kron 4 has new video of oakland police officers inside the ghost ship warehouse. it shows police breaking up a party. nearly two years ábeforeá the massive fire that killed 36 -people. police body camera footage captured two oakland officers banging on the door during a rave dance party. it happened in march of 20-15. authorities say, people were illegally selling alcohol and using drugs at the party. an officer is seen speaking with an event organizer. we are told the police report was forwarded to oakland police department's alcohol beverage action team. where it remains 'pending' in the system. last december a fire erupted at the ghost ship warehouse during a dance party. 36 people were killed. derick almena and max harris are charged with 36 -counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection to that fire. ( darya ) happening now... in the east bay... the "do not drink the water" advisory is still in place for people living and working in the alameda point community. people can use their tap water to shower, wash their hands and dishes... but officials say it is still not safe to drink. east bay mud made the rounds yesterday giving out free, clean water for people to use. pacific fine food catering company took advantage of that. on wednesday the owner said she employees had to lug 275 gallons of clean water to keep things running smoothly. ( darya ) the water advisories issued tuesday have impacted some 270 residents... and, more than 60 businesses. the city of alameda says somehow... the east bay mud drinking water pipe in the area was contaminated with dirty water. ( mark ) an 18-year-old man is arrested and accused of inappropriately touching a child at a day car center in the south bay. and this morning police are looking for more victims. it happened at "jumping up learning circles" in san jose. police say they arrested the man and charged him with sexual assault. his identity is not being released because he was a minor at the time of the assault. police say he is accused of touching a 9-year-old boy while working at the tutoring and learning center. (mark) police in the east bay are looking for someone who sexually assaulted a woman at a popular walking trail. the assault happened back in january - but police are just now releasing this sketch. officers say the victim was headed east on the refugio valley road... walking on a trail near partridge drive. that is when she was approached from behind by a man who put a gun to her head. the man ordered the woman to a secluded wooded area... and assaulted her. ( tiffany ) 22 people have been injured after a fire and reports of an explosion at a train station. london police declaring it a terrorist incident. we have new images into the newsroom showing the area around the station this morning. passengers reported an explosion in a carriage of a train shortly after 8 a.m london time. that is right in the middle of the morning rush hour. 22 people were taken to the hospital... some with burn injuries. others were injured when they got trampled by people running away from the scene. officials say none of the injuries are considered life threatening. ( tiffany ) police say the fire on the train was caused by an improvised explosive device. this picture posted on social media shows a white plastic bucket on the train. that bucket is inside a supermarket shopping bag with flames and wires coming out of it. police say the station was full of people at the time of the explosion. ( darya ) san jose becomes the first city to file a lawsuit against the trump administartion over its decision to rescind daca. eighteen states and the district of columbia have also filed lawsuits as well. in its suit, san jose claims the trump administrations decision to end daca... is unconstitutional. the city says, it is uniquely and directly harmed by the move. according to the suit... daca recipients provide public safety and other services critical to the community. ( darya ) the lawsuit also claims that the city's workforce will be harmed if daca is ended. president trump has given congress six months to act. democrats say they have reached a deal with the president to turn daca into law. ( mark ) police are using new technology to try and solve a 27- year- old cold case. maria weidhofer was sexually assaulted and killed back on november 15th, 19-90. it happened during her morning jog in tilden regional park in the east bay. weidhofer was strangled and raped on the nimitz way trail. and before the murder police believe the killer was waiting for her on a bench near the trail entrance. now investigators have released a sketch of a person interest in the murder. it was created using new technology that analyzed the killer's d-n-a. police say it can predict physical appearance and ancestry. here's what the d-n-a testing revealed. the person of interest was around 25 years old at the time of the attack. he likely has fair skin, brown or hazel eyes with brown to black hair. analysts then advanced his age to what he may look like today at age 55. the new sketch matches witness descriptions of what they called a "suspicious man." ( darya ) the east coast of florida is expected to get their power back this weekend, but the west coast will have to wait till next week. ( darya ) one soldier is dead and seven others are injured after a training exercise at fort bragg in north carolina. this comes just one day after 15 marines were hurt in a fire while training at camp pendleton in san diego. the incident in north carolina happened during a training exercise involving demolitions. 32-year-old staff sergeant alexander dalida was killed during the exercise. the extent of the other soldiers' not yet been ( mark ) a new piece of legislation in california is trying to prevent marijuana edibles from appealing to children. the bill will now be sent to governor jerry brown for his approval. it would prohibit edibles shaped like a person, animal, insect or fruit. governor brown vetoed similar legislation earlier this week which tried to define standards for packaging that would not appeal to children. the governor says, his administration is working on regulations on packaging and labeling for marijuana edibles. california voters legalized marijuana for adults last year. and the state is preparing to begin sales at state- licensed stores next year. ( mark ) a bill to make california schools start later in the morning has failed. the state assembly defeated the bill yesterday. it would have required middle and high schools to start at 8:30-am or later. supporters of the bill said later start times would allow kids to get better sleep and improve their school performance. others say it would interfere with the family's schedule and put a burden on parents. lawmakers will reconsider the bill today. (darya) and california lawmakers are pushing a bill to end the practice of so- called "lunch shaming." "lunch shaming" is when a student is publically shamed... because their parents cannot pay for their lunch bill. the bill will require local education officials to help those families sign up for free- and reduced -lunch programs. backers of the bill say, children should not be used as debt-collection instruments. the u-s-d-a currently requires districts to inform parents about meal debts.. but it does not ban any debt- collection practices. this is similar to a bill that is currently making its way through ( mark ) a proposal to hike bridge tolls in the bay area by three- dollars....is moving forward. the plan passed the state assembly and the state senate and now heads to the governor's desk. but ultimately it would be up to voters to decide whether or not to raise tolls. the proposal calls for using the money generated from the toll increase .... to add more trains to bart, increase ferry and bus service and make improvements to bay area freeways. the earliest the measure could appear on a ballot is next june. it would not apply to the golden gate bridge but it would increase the tolls on 7 other bay area bridges. ( mark ) an 18-year-old man is arrested and accused of inappropriately touching a child at a day car center in the south bay. and this morning police are looking for more victims. it happened at "jumping up learning circles" in san jose. police say they arrested the man and charged him with sexual assault. his identity is not being released because he was a minor at the time of the assault. police say he is accused of touching a 9-year-old boy while working at the tutoring and learning center. (mark) police in the east bay are looking for someone who sexually assaulted a woman at a popular walking trail. the assault happened back in january - but police are just now releasing this sketch. officers say the victim was headed east on the refugio valley road... walking on a trail near partridge drive. that is when she was approached from behind by a man who put a gun to her head. the man ordered the woman to a secluded wooded area... and assaulted her. ( darya ) three former google employees are suing the company for ásystemicá gender pay discrimination. the women say google offered fewer promotions to their female workers-- and lower pay. now they're hoping a judge will certify their filed complaint as a class-action lawsuit. the lawsuit comes during an investigation by the u-s department of labor... into google's alleged pay discrimination. google denies the allegations and says it has systems in place to prevent pay inequality. ( mark ) a proposal to hike bridge tolls in the bay area by three- dollars is moving forward. the plan passed the state assembly and the state senate and now heads to the governor's desk. but ultimately it would be up to voters to decide whether or not to raise tolls. the proposal calls for using the money generated from the toll increase to add more trains to bart, increase ferry and bus service, and make improvements to bay area freeways. the earliest the measure could appear on a ballot is next june. it would not apply to the golden gate bridge but it would increase the tolls on 7 other bay area bridges. ( darya ) new this morning... a warning in san mateo county... a mountain lions have been spotted three times the past week. the latest happened at around 6:30 this morning on vernal way in emerald hills. the mountain lion was seen walking through someones backyard. and then earlier this week, neighbors reported seeing a mountain lion in the area of handley trail and mountain view way. a mountain lion was see on sunday and again on tuesday. wildlife officials are warning people to be alert in that area. ( mark ) kron 4 has new video of oakland police officers inside the ghost ship warehouse. it shows police breaking up a party. nearly two years ábeforeá the massive fire that killed 36 -people. police body camera footage captured two oakland officers banging on the door during a rave dance party. it happened in march of 20-15. authorities say, people were illegally selling alcohol and using drugs at the party. an officer is seen speaking with an event organizer. we are told the police report was forwarded to oakland police department's alcohol beverage action team. where it remains 'pending' in the system. last december a fire erupted at the ghost ship warehouse during a dance party. 36 people were killed. derick almena and max harris are charged with 36 -counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection to that fire. (mark) a former san francisco police officer involved in a racist text message scandal is pleading guilty to filing a false report. curtis liu entered the plea .... as part of a deal with prosecutors. he was arrested last year... accused of tipping off a fellow officer about a sexual assault investigation. liu was accused of lying about the incident as part of a cover up. a separate investigation uncovered the racist text messages exchanged between several police officers. liu is set to be sentenced in november. ( darya ) a california father is under arrest this morning... accused of murdering his three children inside their west sacramento home. an 11-year-old boy.... 9-year-old girl and an infant were found dead wednesday night inside their apartment. police say their father...robert hodges...is the killer. hodges is also accused of choking their mother who was inside the home at the time of the killing. he is now in jail on suicide watch. ( darya ) in the south bay... police are looking for a package thief... dressed as a fedex worker. take a look at this video sent to us by a kron four viewer. the surveillance video was taken from a home on monday. you can see the man wearing a fedex shirt ... walk up to the home... he appears to be holding an envelope in when he gets to the front door ... he takes a package out of the mailbox. he then larger box sitting on the doorstep... and off. ( mark ) that breaking news we are following this morning... a terror attack at a subway station in london.( darya ) tiffany mcelroy is here with the details just newsroom. tiffany. ( tiffany ) 22 people have been injured after a fire and reports of an explosion at a subway station. london police declaring it a terrorist incident. there are reports that a child is among the injured. these are images showing the area around the station this morning. passengers reported an explosion in a carriage of a train shortly after 8 a.m london time. that is right in the middle of the morning rush hour. 22 people were taken to the hospital... some with burn injuries. others were injured when they got trampled by people running away from the scene. officials say none of the injuries are considered life threatening. ( tiffany ) police say the fire on the train was caused by an improvised explosive device. this picture posted on social media shows a white plastic bucket on the train. that bucket is inside a supermarket shopping bag with flames and wires coming out of it. police say the station was full of people at the time of the explosion. and now security experts say that the bomb appears to not have fully detonated. police are still trying to figure out what chemicals were used to make the bomb. london's mayor says security forces are doing what they can. ( tiffany ) so far nobody is claiming responsibility for the attack. police say right now there is no way to know how many people are responsible. i will keep following the situation and bring you updates through out the morning. back to you. (omar cummings/parent-you got to make sure you the kids are off the streets because they don't slow down for nothing. you have to be in the street waving your arms or they'll just speed by)the school is aware of the study which also says schools in ubran areas have more dangerous roads. bessie carmichael is in downtown san francisco and right next to the freeway which adds to the traffic.it has crossing guards on both sides of the school..to help slow drivers downmany parents are glad the school tries its best to keep the kids safe.. but say they are the first line of defense.(gabriela ramos/parent- i never take my eyes off of her. i never let her walk by herself. she is always next to me or with her dad. she has gotten wise in her five years here. they don't care. even though this is a school area they will just speed through)as a whole... san francisco county came in second in the country in terms of dangerous school traffic.the study says parents help reduce the risk by not using their cell phones while driving.. and talking to the schools about adding crossing guards.in san francisco will tran kron 4 news ( darya ) ( darya ) san jose becomes the first city to file a lawsuit against the trump administartion over its decision to rescind daca. eighteen states and the district of columbia have also filed lawsuits as well. in its suit, san jose claims the trump administrations decision to end daca... is unconstitutional. the city says, it is uniquely and directly harmed by the move. according to the suit... daca recipients provide public safety and other services critical to the community. ( darya ) the lawsuit also claims that the city's workforce will be harmed if daca is ended. president trump has given congress six months to act. democrats say they have reached a deal with the president to turn daca into law. (darya) lets talk football now. the niners are in seattle and the raiders are at home vs the jets. but in football today we're going to talk about body parts. we've got legs, fingers, and dancing feet. we'll start with legs. the texans rookie deshaun watson made a 49 yard touchdown. gary says it was also his birthday and his first start since leading clemson to the national championship. and it was through the teeth of the bengals. gary says he doesn't think the coach is going to make it through the season. this is the first time since the 1930's a team gets shut out their first two games at home.
